Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

112: Chapter 112 A Late-Night FarewellLi Xing watched from the side, covering her mouth as she giggled.

Chen Mo let out a helpless sigh.

He had originally just wanted to come out to kill some boring time.

And the result?

He had picked up a drunk Zhao Liying and rescued his assistant’s twin sister, Li Xing.

A peaceful night had suddenly become quite lively.

Li Xing asked in a low voice:

”Is she okay? Should we give her some water?”

Chen Mo nodded and beckoned to a waiter nearby.

”A glass of warm water.”

The waiter quickly brought the water. Li Xing took the glass and went to Zhao Liying’s side, bending over to try and feed her some warm water.

However, Zhao Liying was dead drunk and wouldn’t cooperate at all, her mouth tightly shut.

Li Xing tried a couple of times before giving up, sticking her tongue out at Chen Mo.

”She’s sleeping so deeply, I can’t get her to drink anything.”

Chen Mo looked at Zhao Liying leaning on his shoulder, then at the curious Li Xing beside him, and smiled.

He never imagined that on such a boring night, he would encounter two completely different girls at the same time.

Li Xing placed the glass on the table and rested her head on her hand.

”Um... once she’s a bit more sober, how about I help you take her back? It might be inconvenient for a man like you.”

Chen Mo glanced at her and said with a smile:

”Aren’t you afraid?”

Li Xing puffed out her chest and said:

”I’m not afraid! Besides, you helped me, so it’s only right that I help you!”

Chen Mo cleared his throat as he looked at her bouncing curves due to her exaggerated movement. He didn’t refuse, just giving a soft ”mm-hmm.”

Feeling Chen Mo’s gaze, Li Xing rolled her eyes at him, her face flushing as she looked away.

The two fell silent for a moment.

Zhao Liying leaned on Chen Mo’s shoulder, her breathing steady, showing no signs of waking up.

After a while, Li Xing couldn’t help but speak up:

”Just how much did she drink to end up this drunk?”

Thinking about Zhao Liying’s trajectory in his past life, Chen Mo said:

”It’s not easy, all for the sake of a role.”

Li Xing nodded.

”I know her! Zhao Liying! She’s been in so many dramas lately, but she’s just never really hit it big. I didn’t expect her to be so hardworking for her acting.”

Then she looked at Chen Mo and asked:

”Do you know her?”

”Not really, I just know of her.”

Chen Mo said.

Li Xing’s eyes darted around as she asked curiously:

”So, does a big shot like you know a lot of celebrities? That beautiful girl with you in Korea before seemed to be Im Yoon-ah, and now you have a Zhao Liying leaning on your shoulder.”

Chen Mo coughed lightly and said:

”Coincidence, it’s purely a coincidence.”

Just as Chen Mo finished speaking, Zhao Liying suddenly let out a soft moan and furrowed her brows; she was likely feeling unwell from drinking too much.

Chen Mo instinctively tilted his body slightly to let her lean more steadily.

Seeing Chen Mo’s actions, the corners of Li Xing’s mouth curled up slightly, and she thought to herself:

”As expected of a playboy, he’s quite attentive. No wonder there are so many rumors about him online.”

Li Xing stood up and said:

”Tell you what, I’ll let my friends know and then head out. I’ll help you take Sister Zhao Liying back to her hotel. If a big guy like you takes her, it might look bad for her if someone catches you on camera.”

Chen Mo glanced at her and asked:

”Can you handle it?”

Li Xing patted her chest and said:

”No problem! I might look small, but I’m very strong! Plus, it’s more convenient for me than for you!”

Chen Mo looked at her bouncing curves and nodded.

Li Xing noticed Chen Mo’s gaze and glared at him before heading toward her friends’ private room.

Watching Li Xing’s retreating figure, Chen Mo thought to himself:

It really has been a few days since I’ve ’eaten meat’; having a bit of alcohol and then being teased by Li Xing has really stirred things up.

Chen Mo shook his head and gently nudged Zhao Liying.

”Wake up, it’s time to go. Where are you staying? We’ll take you back!”

After a long while, Zhao Liying finally opened her eyes dazed, her gaze unfocused as she mumbled:

”What is it? Let me sleep a bit longer!”

Chen Mo was speechless. How much did she drink? She thinks she’s at home!

Just then, Li Xing, who had just returned, heard Zhao Liying’s words and giggled.

”Do you remember which hotel you’re staying at?”

Chen Mo asked, exasperated.

Zhao Liying frowned and said groggily:

”I’m not going to tell you that I’m staying at the All Seasons Hotel at Jing’an Temple.”

Chen Mo: ...

Li Xing clutched her stomach and laughed:

”I know that place! It’s not far from here! Only about a five-minute drive!”

Chen Mo and Li Xing supported Zhao Liying as they walked toward the bar’s exit.

As they reached the door, Old Xu had already parked the car by the roadside.

Old Xu got out and opened the back door.

They finally managed to get the drunk Zhao Liying into the car. Li Xing sat in as well, gently resting Zhao Liying’s head on her shoulder to keep her from swaying and vomiting.

Chen Mo sat in the passenger seat and said to Old Xu:

”Go to the All Seasons Hotel at Jing’an Temple.”

”Understood, President Chen,” Old Xu replied, starting the car and driving off.

Li Xing stole a glance at Chen Mo in the front, then looked at Zhao Liying on her shoulder and said to him:

”President Chen, do you think she’ll remember anything from tonight when she wakes up tomorrow?”

Chen Mo smiled and said:

”Most likely not. She drank so much her mind isn’t clear.”

”True,” Li Xing nodded and muttered softly,

”She’s really pushing herself too hard. Drinking this much for a role... she’s going to have a terrible headache tomorrow.”

Hearing Li Xing’s muttering, Chen Mo recalled that in her past life, Zhao Liying truly lived by the word ”desperate.”

A girl from the countryside with no family background, no backing, and no formal training, she went from a background extra in Hengdian to minor roles, and finally to leading roles. It took her eight years to finally become the Golden Eagle Goddess this year and reach the top tier.

You could say Zhao Liying fought her way up from the very bottom.

Within a few minutes, the car arrived at the entrance of the All Seasons Hotel at Jing’an Temple. Old Xu got out and opened the back door.

Chen Mo walked over and helped Li Xing get Zhao Liying out of the car.

Li Xing reached into Zhao Liying’s bag and quickly pulled out a room card. After glancing at it, she said:

”Found it, she has a room card! Room 1203. Let’s go up.”

Chen Mo nodded, and together with Li Xing, he supported Zhao Liying as they walked toward the hotel lobby.

There were few people in the lobby. The receptionist on duty looked up, asked no questions, and went back to their phone.

The two supported Zhao Liying into the elevator, and Li Xing pressed the button for the 12th floor. As the elevator rose slowly, Zhao Liying continued to moan, leaning against them from time to time.

”She’s so heavy. Luckily you’re here, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to support her on my own.”

Li Xing said, catching her breath.

Chen Mo smiled and said:

”It’s fine. We’re almost there.”

The elevator stopped on the 12th floor. They found room 1203, and Li Xing swiped the card, opening the door and helping Zhao Liying inside.

Li Xing glanced around the room and remarked casually:

”Oh wow, for a celebrity, she’s actually staying in a standard king-size room.”
