Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

119: Chapter 119 Rematch (Part 2)Chen Mo hung up the phone and leaned lazily against the soft sofa; the financial trends for the next ten days were all under his control.

There was no helping it; this was the advantage of a reborn person.

On July 3rd, the US non-farm payroll data would explode, the dollar index would strengthen, and the USD/JPY would see a slight upward surge.

On the 8th, the Fed meeting minutes would release hawkish signals, interest rate hike expectations would be brought forward, and the dollar would continue to strengthen.

On July 10th, the Portuguese banking crisis would erupt completely, global risk aversion would instantly hit its peak, and capital would frantically pour into safe-haven assets.

On that day, the yen would soar against the trend, and the USD/JPY would smash directly through the 101 mark.

Gold would be driven by risk aversion, shooting straight to 1340 dollars/ounce.

crude oil and copper would both take a deep dive due to concerns about market recession.

All the positions he had laid out would land precisely on the critical points of long and short, realizing a double kill on both, swallowing up Wall Street and Japanese Capital in one go.

Soon after, netizens online completely exploded; major social platforms and financial forums were filled with heated discussions, and trending search terms topped the lists one after another:

#US Non-farm Data Explodes#

#Dollar Index Rallies Strongly#

#USD/JPY Exchange Rate Breaks 102.20#

#crude oil Stabilizes Above 103 Dollar Mark#

Ordinary netizens, retail investors, fund holders, and financial bloggers were arguing endlessly online:

”Damn! This non-farm data is way too fierce! The dollar is taking off; this momentum is too strong!”

”USD/JPY hit 102.20! The yen is hopeless, Japanese export stocks are going to make a fortune, and the nikkei 225 is rising like crazy!”

”Major investment banks on Wall Street are speaking out in unison, all shouting that the yen will continue to fall!”

”crude oil is stable above 103; Goldman Sachs has even released a research report saying crude oil will rise to 110 dollars. Go long quickly!”

”Gold is dragging its feet at 1320. Institutions are all saying the dollar is too strong, there’s no market for gold, and it’s highly likely to fall!”

”Copper is at 6800 dollars. Global demand is already weak, but no one dares to go heavily short for fear of being counter-attacked by Wall Street funds!”

A crowd of financial influencers and professional analysts posted messages one after another, stating with certainty:

”Key reminder! The global financial market now has a consensus: The dollar is strong, the yen is weak, crude oil is bullish, and copper is bearish! Anyone who dares to operate against the market is purely throwing money away and courting death. Don’t be stupid!”

Japan was in a frenzy; stock investors, retail investors, and institutions were all immersed in the benefits of the yen’s depreciation:

”Yen depreciation is a huge benefit for exports! Toyota, Sony, and Honda stock prices are soaring, and the nikkei 225 has hit a new high for the year!”

”Keep shorting the yen! Follow the institutions; getting rich is just a matter of this year. If you don’t eat your fill this round, you’re letting yourself down!”

Time flew to the official release of the Fed meeting minutes on the 8th. It released strong hawkish signals, market interest rate hike expectations were significantly advanced, and the dollar index strengthened again.

The market trend completely matched Chen Mo’s prediction. The USD/JPY fluctuated at a high level above 102, crude oil fell slightly, copper prices slowly declined, gold consolidated sideways, and the floating profit of Tianxing’s financial team continued to expand.

In the top-floor trading room of Tianxing’s headquarters in Magic City, Zhao Yuan stared at the jumping market and dialed Chen Mo’s phone:

”Mr. Chen! Our floating profit has already exceeded 10 billion! Wall Street seems to have noticed that mysterious big capital is laying out positions in the opposite direction. Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase have started tentative market dumping and order sweeping. Should we take profit on a portion and secure the gains?”

Chen Mo said indifferently:

”Hold your positions; don’t take profit on a single cent. This bit of floating profit is just an appetizer. The real decisive battle and the real super-profits are all on July 10th. Guard the positions and wait for my general attack order.”

”Understood, Mr. Chen! Resolutely execute your order, hold the positions to the death!”

Zhao Yuan replied, and after hanging up, he continued to stare at the market.

Meanwhile, in the Wall Street financial center, the Goldman Sachs headquarters trading hall and the JPMorgan Chase risk control department.

The Goldman Sachs trading supervisor stared fixedly at the market and said in a grave tone:

”Something is wrong. In four varieties—USD/JPY, crude oil, gold, and copper—there is a mysterious big capital quietly laying out positions. The entry points are quite precise, completely moving against the market trend, and the capital volume is huge. We can’t find the source at all!”

The JPMorgan Chase risk control manager stared at the data report and said in a deep voice:

”This capital is too weird. The rhythm is perfectly timed, as if they knew all the macro news and policy trends in advance. Our order sweeping and market dumping are all precisely avoided by it, and they can even take advantage of the trend to add positions!”

”Investigate with full force! Use all resources. We must find out who is the mastermind behind this capital. If they dare to move earth on Wall Street’s head, we must not let them go!”

The executives of the two major investment banks issued orders in unison. The risk control team and the research team were all dispatched, but after investigating, they only saw layers of scattered anonymous accounts and could not touch the core clues at all, so they could only defensively guard.

When the report was handed to the top management of Wall Street, some of them already knew who it was, but they still believed that they had the advantage this time and would not lose.

Early on July 10th, a piece of news shattered the global financial market:

Banco Espírito Santo in Portugal suffered a major debt crisis, its liquidity was completely cut off, panic instantly spread through the European financial market, and global risk aversion directly soared!

In the Rose Garden in Magic City, Chen Mo looked at the global market screen in front of him and ordered into his phone:

”Zhao Yuan, the general attack begins. Execute according to the established plan, harvest across the board!”

”Understood! Harvesting across the board!”

The top-floor trading room of Tianxing in Magic City instantly sprang into action. After Zhao Yuan gave the order, the traders’ fingers flew, closing long and short positions and reversing operations in one go.

First was the foreign exchange market, a decisive kill on the yen shorts.

Global risk-averse capital frantically poured into the yen for safety, and the USD/JPY exchange rate instantly plummeted in a crash! 102.00, 101.50, 101.32, and then, without any resistance, it directly smashed through the 101.00 mark. The yen soared against the trend!

”Mr. Chen, USD/JPY has broken 101, the floating profit on yen long positions is maximized!”

Zhao Yuan reported to the phone.

”Immediately close all yen long positions, reverse and short the yen, get ready for the second harvest!”

Chen Mo ordered.

After the order was executed, the retail investors and hedge funds in Japan that were shorting the yen were instantly liquidated across the board and lost everything!

The stock prices of export giants like Toyota, Sony, and Honda plummeted off a cliff, the nikkei 225 index plunged over 5%, and a wave of limit-downs broke out in the Japanese stock market!

The Japanese Ministry of Finance urgently held a press conference, and a high-ranking official publicly shouted:

”We will closely monitor abnormal exchange rate fluctuations and take strong intervention measures when necessary!”

Chen Mo looked at the emergency statement from the Japanese Ministry of Finance and didn’t take it to heart:

”Only reacting now? Too late. Second harvest, proceed as planned.”

Then came gold futures, killing both long and short.

Under the influence of risk aversion, comex gold futures soared in a straight line: 1320, 1330, 1340 dollars/ounce. In just one hour, it soared by 20 dollars!
