Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

138: Chapter 138 Rumors and Smears, Official RectificationThe night was deep, but the outskirts of the Disaster Area were brightly lit. Emergency lights illuminated the disaster relief base, and various rescue and supply vehicles shuttled back and forth. Official Authorities and volunteers were racing against time to settle the affected people.

Tianxing Group’s first batch of supplies had already arrived smoothly and was being distributed in an orderly manner in cooperation with the Official Authorities, providing immediate relief to the Disaster Area.

Magic City, Tianxing Group Headquarters.

Chen Mo and Li Yue were waiting for news in the office.

At this moment, Li Yue’s phone suddenly rang. After she answered, the anxious voice of the person in charge of front-line supplies came through:

”Assistant Li, this is bad! The second batch of supply trucks was traveling through a mountainous section and encountered a landslide triggered by an aftershock. The road is completely blocked. The excavators haven’t arrived yet, so the convoy can’t get through at all. The supplies can’t reach the Disaster Area for the time being!”

Li Yue’s expression changed drastically as she said to Chen Mo:

”President Chen, the second batch of supply trucks encountered a landslide blockage and cannot reach the Disaster Area for now. The front line is coordinating machinery to clear the road!”

Upon hearing this, Chen Mo immediately ordered:

”Immediately contact all drone formations near the Disaster Area and have them head to the landslide section at full speed. Use the drones to transport urgently needed small items like medicine, food, and drinking water in batches. Use an ’ant-moving’ method to send them to the Disaster Area. Even if it’s slower, the supply of materials must not be cut off! Also, maintain communication with the Official Authorities at all times and synchronize the road-clearing progress!”

”Understood, President Chen, I’ll arrange it right away!”

Li Yue immediately began the coordination.

While Chen Mo and the Tianxing team were still busy coordinating the road clearance, the online sentiment suddenly shifted.

In just over ten minutes, dozens of out-of-context videos and posts suddenly went viral on social media platforms. The videos only showed the Tianxing supply trucks blocked halfway, without mentioning the landslide or the drone transport. The captions were full of malice, consisting entirely of rumor-mongering content designed to gain traffic.

”Breaking News! Tianxing’s disaster relief is just a show! The supplies haven’t even arrived; it’s all superficial work!”

”news broadcast praised them for nothing! Tianxing is just doing fake charity, deceiving people for goodwill to exploit them!”

”The so-called assistance is a complete scam. The supplies never reached the Disaster Area at all. So disappointing!”

As soon as these malicious posts were published, the hired Water Army behind them immediately began flooding the screens to set the narrative. Insults and smears against Tianxing Group came like a tidal wave, instantly overwhelming the previous praise. Now, the internet was in a heated argument:

”To think I actually believed in Tianxing. Turns out they’re just a show-off company. How disgusting!”

”As expected, not a single capitalist is good. They use disaster relief just to grab attention, without any sincere intention to help!”

”Unfollow and blacklist Tianxing! I’ll never buy their products again. Scam company!”

”Did the state media misjudge them? Is this kind of show-off company even worth praising?”

”They’re just doing it to ride the hype and build a reputation, without caring about the lives in the Disaster Area. This is too much!”

”They talked it up so much before, but in the end, the supplies didn’t even arrive. A pure scam!”

”Boycott Tianxing! This kind of heartless company deserves to go bankrupt!”

Even as the Water Army and rumor-mongers frantically pushed the narrative, a large number of clear-headed netizens still firmly supported Tianxing. They desperately spoke out to refute the claims, demanding the facts be clarified before a conclusion was reached:

”Everyone, calm down! Don’t start insulting them without knowing the situation. Landslides are common during earthquakes in mountainous areas; it’s normal for roads to be blocked!”

”Tianxing sent supplies immediately. They must have encountered an emergency. Wait for the Official Authorities’ report; don’t let others dictate your thoughts!”

”Those rumor-mongering videos are clearly edited to gain traffic. Don’t believe them!”

”President Chen has always been a man of action. It’s impossible for him to just be putting on a show. There must be a hidden reason!”

”Please speak rationally and wait for the investigation. Don’t discourage a company that is sincerely helping with disaster relief!”

”Tianxing even stopped selling disaster relief supplies to donate them. How could it be a show? Don’t be fooled by the Water Army!”

The two sides argued heatedly online, and the topic’s popularity soared as the rumors grew more intense.

The Official Authorities took emergency action, and a swift operation was launched.

In less than half an hour, the local Emergency Management Bureau and Public Security Department jointly released a report to clarify the facts, attaching on-site footage of the landslide section and videos of Tianxing’s drones delivering supplies:

Situation Report: The online information claiming that Tianxing Group’s disaster relief supplies failed to reach the Disaster Area is false.

Tianxing’s second batch of supply trucks was unable to pass due to road blockages caused by landslides from the Disaster Area earthquake aftershocks; it was not due to corporate inaction.

After the incident, Tianxing deployed over a hundred drones to continuously deliver urgently needed supplies to the Disaster Area using the ’ant-moving’ method. Relevant departments are making every effort to clear the roads.

Meanwhile, the police have apprehended the individuals who maliciously smeared Tianxing with edited content. They will be dealt with strictly according to the law. We hope the public will not believe or spread rumors.

Once this report was released, the entire internet was in an uproar, and the truth was revealed to the world.

The netizens who had been misled by the Water Army suddenly realized the truth, while those who had firmly supported Tianxing felt vindicated. The previous insults vanished without a trace, replaced by fury toward the rumor-mongers and strong support for Tianxing:

”The official report is here! So it was a landslide blockage, and Tianxing even sent drones to deliver supplies. That’s so hard to pull off!”

”I misunderstood Tianxing! Those rumor-mongers are so wicked, daring to smear even disaster relief efforts just for traffic!”

”The rumor-mongers deserve to be arrested! Such scum should be severely punished; they almost broke the hearts of good people!”

”Tianxing is so reliable! When the road was blocked, they immediately deployed drones. This is real disaster relief, not a show!”

”Where are the people who were insulting Tianxing? Come out and apologize! They did their best to send supplies, only to be maliciously smeared!”

”The clear-headed netizens were right! Tianxing has always been a man of action; we almost let the narrative be set for us!”

”Let’s blast those rumor-mongering accounts! People who lose their conscience for traffic deserve social death!”

”Well done, Tianxing! To be stabbed in the back while facing a natural disaster is heartbreaking. I’ll support you forever!”

”Even the Official Authorities have stamped the clarification. Tianxing’s sense of responsibility is obvious to all. Let the rumor-mongers rot in jail!”

”I’m sorry, Tianxing! I was foolish enough to believe the rumors. I’ll definitely be rational in the future and fully support ethical companies!”

”Using drones for ’ant-moving’ supply delivery is so touching. Tianxing’s vision is on another level, and the rumor-mongers got what they deserved!”

The Disaster Area earthquake was already difficult enough, and yet Tianxing had to suffer this. Fortunately, the Official Authorities acted quickly to clear Tianxing’s name!”

At the same time, angry netizens took collective action, swarming and overwhelming all the social media accounts that had spread rumors and smeared Tianxing. The comment sections were filled with rebukes and denunciations, and the rumor-mongering accounts were all banned.

It was only because those people hadn’t posted on software under Tianxing’s own umbrella; otherwise, they would have been banned even sooner!

Li Yue saw the reversal of the online comments, and her heart finally settled. She said to Chen Mo:

”President Chen, the Official Authorities have clarified everything, and the rumor-mongers have been arrested. Everyone understands the truth now and is supporting us!”
