Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

144: Chapter 144 Charter Flight Back HomeTianxing’s head of West Africa operations immediately sent news of the gold mine, its specific location, and photos of the ore back to Tianxing’s headquarters in Shanghai using an encrypted satellite phone.

On the other side in Shanghai, the sky was just beginning to brighten, and the sun had not yet risen.

In the morning, Chen Mo sat in his office and looked at the message flagged by the AI, which the West Africa lead had sent around five o’clock.

The gold mine was located deep in the jungle at the border of Guinea and Sierra Leone. According to the information gathered by the AI, it was currently unknown to the public and undeveloped.

The corners of Chen Mo’s mouth curled up slightly.

Subsequently, Chen Mo directly dialed Old Xu’s number at the security company in Africa.

As soon as the call connected, Old Xu’s voice came from the other end:

“President Chen! This is Old Xu, at your service!”

Chen Mo said:

“Old Xu, I received news that there is a gold mine deep in the jungle at the border of Guinea and Sierra Leone. The reserves are currently unknown.”

Old Xu immediately said excitedly:

“Really! President Chen! I’m familiar with that area you mentioned; it’s extremely remote and very well-hidden. If this is confirmed, it’s definitely a massive treasure trove!”

Chen Mo smiled and said:

“The specifics need you to confirm. Put everything else aside for now and focus primarily on the gold mine matter.

First, you must immediately pick out a few of your most reliable and tight-lipped men to quietly conduct a simple exploration of that valley to confirm the general scope of the gold mine and whether it’s easy to mine.

Remember, you must act low-key. Do not make a scene, and do not let local powers—and especially not Western media—catch even a hint of this.”

Old Xu’s serious voice came through:

“Understood, President Chen! I will lead the team personally. I definitely won’t leave any tracks!”

Chen Mo gave an ’mm’ and continued:

“Secondly, I will immediately make arrangements domestically to recruit a group of top geological survey and mining engineers with high salaries to head to Africa in batches for a formal, detailed survey.

You stabilize things on that end first. Once the domestic manpower arrives, start immediately. Contact me anytime you need funds.”

Old Xu guaranteed:

“President Chen, rest assured! I, Old Xu, guarantee this with my life; I will definitely get it done for you!”

Chen Mo then added a reminder:

“Take precautions; safety is the first priority.”

“Yes, sir!”

Hanging up the phone, Chen Mo began processing the day’s documents.

Not long after, under the joint efforts of Tianxing and the Dragon Country medical team, the Ebola virus in West Africa was finally brought under full control.

The alarm was lifted.

However, a large number of overseas Chinese and Taiwan compatriots stranded in Africa were anxious because they couldn’t buy tickets to return home due to the airport closures.

Shanghai, Tianxing Headquarters.

Li Yue knocked and entered the office, saying to Chen Mo:

“President Chen, now that the virus is stable, many Chinese and Taiwan compatriots want to go home, but the airports are closed and no tickets are being sold.”

Chen Mo said:

“Communicate with the local authorities and arrange chartered flights to go pick them up.”

“All overseas Chinese and stranded Taiwan compatriots who want to return home can take our Tianxing chartered flights for free.”

Li Yue said:

“President Chen, are you saying... even the Taiwan compatriots should be picked up too?”

“Of course.”

Chen Mo said as if it were a matter of course:

“As long as they are Dragon Country people, whether from the mainland or Taiwan, if they encounter difficulties abroad, we must bring them home.

Both sides of the strait are one family; at a time like this, we shouldn’t distinguish between us.

When a child has been away for a long time, they will eventually return.”

Li Yue nodded and said:

“Alright, President Chen! I’ll go arrange it immediately!”

“Go on.”

In just two short days.

One large chartered flight after another, bearing the Tianxing logo, landed at African airports in succession.

Once the news spread, the overseas Chinese and Taiwan compatriots stranded in West Africa were moved beyond words.

The state, which had originally intended to send chartered flights, received the news, and a certain leader showed an appreciative smile:

“Well done. Tianxing is an enterprise with national responsibility and a sense of social duty. This is how a Dragon Country enterprise should look.”

The overseas Chinese and Taiwan compatriots at the airport welcomed the Tianxing chartered flights.

“Tianxing has come to take us home!”

“Free chartered flights! My goodness, as expected of President Chen!”

“We are from Taiwan; can we come along too?”

The Dragon Country staff on-site smiled and said:

“Of course you can! As long as you are Dragon Country people, everyone goes together! Not a single person will be left behind!”

A white-haired elderly man from Taiwan said with tears streaming down his face:

“We were here calling for help but no one answered, no one cared about us...

Only the motherland, only Tianxing, did not forget us...”

“Old man, don’t cry. Let’s go home.”

Boarding, takeoff, landing.

One by one, the Tianxing chartered flights landed steadily at domestic airports.

This matter instantly surged to the number one trending spot on all major platforms nationwide.

#One Family Across the Strait, Not One Less#

Domestic netizens were completely boiling with excitement:

“Tianxing truly never disappoints!”

“Even the Taiwan compatriots were brought back together; such grand vision! Both sides of the strait are one family after all!”

“Other companies are busy making money, while Tianxing is busy saving the country, saving people, and bringing compatriots home!”

“Watching this literally made me cry. This is the responsibility of a great power; this is the bond of blood!”

“I don’t regret being born in China in this life! Way to go, Tianxing! Way to go, motherland!”

“Taiwan compatriots are also our family; not one can be missing!”

“Tianxing is too top-tier! Free chartered flights to bring all compatriots home!”

“One family across the strait; I’m completely overwhelmed. This is the bond of blood!”

“Proud of Tianxing, proud of the motherland. Taiwan compatriots will eventually come home!”

“So heartwarming. No matter how far one goes, the motherland is always the most solid support!”

But just as the internet was filled with praise, a small number of ’Taiwan Independence’ elements jumped out and started making sarcastic comments online:

“This is a United Front conspiracy! We don’t need the mainland to pick us up!”

“Tianxing’s kindness is fake; they just want to pull a political stunt!”

“We can return on our own; no need for them to meddle in our business!”

“Yes, this is just a mainland United Front tactic. We don’t need their fake kindness!”

“Tianxing is deliberately trying to curry favor with ulterior motives!”

As soon as these comments appeared, netizens were instantly enraged and fired back with full force:

“Have you no shame? Back in Africa, you were crying and screaming to go home, and now that you’re back, you’re acting all high and mighty!”

“Taiwan Independence trash, get lost! When lives are on the line, only the country cares about you!”

“Ungrateful wretches! Tianxing saved you, and you turn around and bite them!”

“One family across the strait; is it the place of you clowns to be barking?”

“Exactly. We are all Dragon Country people. Going home is only natural. Is it your turn to be jumping around here?”

The Taiwan compatriots who had successfully returned home saw these comments and were all shaking their heads and sighing.

A lady from Taiwan spoke to the camera with a sincere yet helpless tone:

“We just wanted to go home safely.

No matter how much those people make a fuss, we know in our hearts that it was the motherland and Tianxing that saved us.

Taiwan has belonged to Dragon Country since ancient times. This point will never change.”
