Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

140: Chapter 140 The net of justice is wide, and the will of the people is with you.The influencers who led the way in editing videos out of context were criminally detained;

The gangs behind the scenes who hired Water Army to manipulate public opinion were caught in one fell swoop;

All accounts that smeared Tianxing were permanently banned, and their content was completely cleared.

Immediately after, the local police and judicial departments released a detailed case bulletin, strictly punishing these individuals for spreading rumors and causing trouble according to the law:

The involved influencers and Water Army gangs fabricated false disaster information and maliciously smeared disaster relief enterprises during the critical period of earthquake relief, violating Article 291-1, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Law:

The crime of fabricating and intentionally disseminating false information, which seriously disrupted social order during the earthquake relief period, was classified as particularly serious. They were punished severely according to the law, with the primary culprit sentenced to five years in prison and the accomplices sentenced to two to three and a half years respectively;

At the same time, the involved personnel used information networks to defame others and stir up trouble, violating Article 293, Paragraph 1, Item (4) of the Criminal Law: the crime of picking quarrels and provoking trouble. Multiple crimes were punished together, and no leniency was shown;

According to Article 5 of the ”Interpretation on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Law in Handling Criminal Cases Such as Defamation via Information Networks”:

Spreading online rumors to undermine public order is convicted as the crime of picking quarrels and provoking trouble. Combined with heinous circumstances such as profiting from a national disaster and maliciously interfering with disaster relief, heavy sentences were imposed. All involved personnel were held criminally responsible according to the law, with no probation.

As soon as the news came out, netizens clapped and cheered, feeling greatly satisfied:

”Well sentenced! To dare to spread rumors and profit from a national disaster during earthquake relief, they should be given the maximum sentence and rot in jail!”

”Take a good look! Articles 291 and 293 of the Criminal Law, heavy punishment for multiple crimes—this is exactly how these internet scumbags should be treated!”

”The permanent ban is so satisfying! Let’s see who else dares to manipulate public opinion and spread rumors. The law is not just for show!”

”The Water Army gangs were wiped out in one go. This feels great! Completely purifying the network environment; there’s no room for any crooked thoughts during disaster relief!”

”They dared to smear Tianxing, who is wholeheartedly helping with disaster relief. Now they’ve paid a painful price! They totally deserve it; it’s not unfair at all!”

”The law drawing its sword is so powerful! Profiting from a national disaster and interfering with relief efforts—heavy punishment is exactly right. This is truly heart-warming!”

”So spreading online rumors carries such heavy criminal responsibility. I’ll remember this now; I resolutely won’t believe or spread rumors!”

”These people have no bottom line just for traffic. Stirring up trouble during an earthquake—ruining Tianxing’s reputation is one thing, but delaying disaster relief is another. I think the sentence is actually too light!”

”Kudos to the judicial authorities! Striking hard and heavy to maintain stability in the Disaster Area and support conscientious enterprises. Amazing!”

”I was so angry at these rumors before, but seeing the sentencing results now, I feel much better instantly!”

”I advise everyone trying to leech off disaster traffic to read the legal articles clearly! Spreading rumors and causing trouble during disaster relief will surely lead to severe punishment!”

”Not only criminal detention and sentencing, but accounts banned and content cleared. It completely cut off their crooked paths. So satisfying!”

”Tianxing was clearly working hard on disaster relief, yet they were maliciously smeared by this group of villains. Fortunately, the law is just and has cleared Tianxing’s name!”

”This is the consequence of doing evil! Trying to gain attention and make dirty money through rumors will only end in being severely punished by the weapon of the law!”

Meanwhile, in a certain office.

Old Huang looked at the overwhelming news praising Tianxing on the internet, then at the still-plummeting data of his own platform. The Panda cigarette in his hand burned to the end, and he only snapped out of it when it burned his finger.

He let out a long sigh.

He lost, lost completely. Not only did he lose the market and traffic, but more importantly, he lost the people’s hearts.

In a building in Hang City.

Jack Ma sat silently in his chair, not saying a word.

He looked at the computer screen—the praise from official media, the support from the whole network, the scenes and discussions of the Disaster Area thanking Tianxing—but he couldn’t even muster a hint of anger.

He finally understood that between him and Chen Mo, it was no longer a gap in money and scale, but a world of difference in responsibility and vision.

The landscape of the e-commerce industry was completely set in stone at this moment.

Magic City, Tianxing Headquarters.

Li Yue smiled and said to Chen Mo:

”President Chen, now the people across the country are praising us, official media has stepped in again, and the rumor-mongers have been heavily sentenced. Our Tianxing has truly attained legendary status this time!”

Chen Mo looked at Li Yue and said with a smile;

”To run an enterprise, one must first be a decent human being.”

”No matter how much money you make, if you lose your conscience, you won’t go far.”

”The Disaster Area still needs us. Let’s keep an eye on it until the relief efforts are finished.”

Disaster Area.

Tianxing’s supplies were still being delivered, drones were still flying, and rescue forces were still converging.

On this day, Tianxing did not participate further in the e-commerce war, but it won the respect and trust of the entire country and the entire nation.

Netizens were still shouting online:

Go Disaster Area! Go Dragon Nation! Go Tianxing!

Time flows like water, and in the blink of an eye, it was August 10th. Exactly one week had passed since the Disaster Area earthquake. The large-scale emergency rescue work had concluded successfully, and order was gradually being restored in the Disaster Area.

At exactly seven o’clock that evening, on the CCTV news broadcast, the anchor, dressed in formal attire and speaking in a solemn and steady tone, delivered a summary report on the earthquake relief efforts lasting two minutes and thirty seconds, bringing a successful conclusion to the post-earthquake rescue:

According to this station, the earthquake relief work for the 6.5-magnitude earthquake in Zhaotong, Disaster Area, Yunnan, has achieved comprehensive results in stages, and the large-scale emergency rescue tasks are basically completed.

At 16:30 on August 3rd, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Disaster Area County, Zhaotong, Yunnan.

After the earthquake, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council attached great importance to it and made deployments immediately, demanding every effort to rescue the injured, properly settle the affected people, and minimize casualties and property losses.

Since the activation of the National Level I disaster relief emergency response, rescue forces from all sides—including the PLA and People’s Armed Police, fire rescue, public security, medical, transportation, power, and communications—have continued to fight. They have searched for and transferred tens of thousands of affected people. Infrastructure such as roads, communications, and power in the Disaster Area have gradually been restored. The basic livelihood of the affected people has been effectively guaranteed, and various disaster relief efforts are proceeding in an orderly manner.

Currently, social order in the Disaster Area is stable, the people’s emotions are calm, and the focus of earthquake relief work has shifted from emergency rescue to the stage of transitional resettlement and post-disaster recovery and reconstruction.

After the earthquake, all sectors of society actively supported the Disaster Area. A large number of caring enterprises, social organizations, and volunteers actively participated in rescue and donated supplies, gathering a powerful positive energy of unity and overcoming difficulties together.

The private enterprise Tianxing Group responded immediately, quickly sending professional rescue teams and urgently allocating a large number of tents, quilts, food, medicine, and other relief supplies to the Disaster Area.

When roads were blocked, the enterprise used drone formations to deliver supplies to remote villages, fully guaranteeing the urgent needs of the Disaster Area, fulfilling social responsibilities with practical actions, and demonstrating the responsibility and sentiment of a private enterprise in the new era.

In response to the fabrication and dissemination of false information and the malicious smearing of disaster relief enterprises during the relief period, local public security and judicial departments handled the situation quickly according to the law, severely cracking down on those spreading rumors and causing trouble, effectively maintaining social order during the earthquake relief period, and promoting social integrity.

Currently, various post-disaster reconstruction efforts have been fully launched. With the joint efforts of all parties, the people in the Disaster Area are actively carrying out self-rescue and rebuilding their homes.

This station will continue to track and report on the progress of post-disaster reconstruction.

After the news broadcast finished, various comments on the internet continued to flood the screen:

”It’s finally over! The Disaster Area pulled through; it wasn’t easy!”

”The news broadcast mentioned Tianxing again and again! This responsibility is well-deserved!”

”I still remember the way Tianxing’s drones delivered supplies; they didn’t even miss the remote villages. They really were meticulous to the extreme!”

”From the earthquake’s occurrence to the end of the rescue, Tianxing never stopped. They are the ceiling for conscientious enterprises!”

”Salute to all rescue personnel, and thanks to enterprises like Tianxing that do real work. We are of one heart!”

”Relief has turned into reconstruction. I believe Tianxing will continue to help. The Disaster Area will definitely get better and better!”

”Appearing on the news broadcast twice—this wave for Tianxing is truly incredible!”

”Severely punish the rumor-mongers and support those with true responsibility. The network environment is clean, and the Disaster Area is embracing a new life!”

”Go Disaster Area, may the reconstruction be smooth! Go Tianxing, the future is promising!”
