Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

44: Chapter 44 The Bear Who Dared Not Speak OutIn the center of the Great Xia Kingdom’s capital, Dragon City, inside a conference room.

Hearing the leader’s explanation, the general and the experts gradually understood.

Now that mysterious spiritual energy has appeared on Blue Star, the wild beasts outside are evolving and growing stronger imperceptibly. If the fierce beast combat strength evaluation is accurate and such terrifying beasts appear on Blue Star in the future, it would be catastrophic news for humanity.

The power displayed by that Prehistoric White-Feathered Great Eagle far exceeds human comprehension; it is practically a monster from a science fiction world. Therefore, to play it safe and guard against the unexpected, the leader wants Wang Jin to investigate the background of the White-Feathered Giant Eagle.

This idea was also acknowledged by most people in the conference room.

...

On the other side.

At the foot of Divine Phoenix Mountain.

Rumble...

The two-meter-tall shrubbery rumbled, and a massive creature slowly crushed its way out from within.

The Big Brown Bear, over three meters tall, dragged the corpse of a large black wild ox back toward the foot of the mountain. The shrubbery rustled, and the dense bushes were crushed into a wide, empty path.

Boom...

The one-ton corpse of the large wild ox dropped to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

The Big Brown Bear looked up at the mountain peak, his eyes revealing longing.

Although he did not know of the existence of spiritual energy, his body’s instincts told him that if he possessed the territory at the mountain peak, he could quickly grow stronger.

But there was that terrifying Giant White Bird on the peak...

His bear eyes narrowed; sooner or later, he would replace that Giant White Bird and become the lord of this great mountain!

The source of the Big Brown Bear’s confidence was that in the past few days, he had been imperceptibly influenced by the dense spiritual energy around the mountain at its foot, so his physique had been rapidly transforming.

His previously robust five-meter frame was now gradually approaching six meters.

According to bear habits, he would normally eat food right where he caught it and had no habit of moving to eat, but staying at the foot of the mountain for a long time was beneficial for growing stronger.

Desiring power, the Big Brown Bear would not miss any opportunity to grow stronger.

His bear eyes looked ambitiously toward the peak again, then he lowered his head to tear open the rough skin of the large wild ox with his bear claws and sharp teeth.

He finally managed to tear off the skin on the large wild ox’s abdomen.

Suddenly...

”Screech!”

A terrifying cry resonated in the sky!

His body trembled involuntarily, and a trace of fear surged in his heart.

He suddenly looked up, and sure enough, it was that terrifying Giant White Bird from the peak!

Boom!

The ground shook, a white figure flashed, and the terrifying Giant White Bird landed in front of him.

The Big Brown Bear stopped eating, looking at the terrifying Giant White Bird with a puzzled bear face, wondering what this scary Giant White Bird wanted to do...

Ye Yang was very direct, stepping forward to the corpse of the large wild ox.

”Coo coo coo...”

He lowered his head, opened his beak, and began to eat.

The Big Brown Bear was stunned; had his prey been snatched away?

His body instinctively became agitated, but considering the target was this Giant White Bird with terrifying power...

”Roar...”

He could only let out a low growl and turned to continue foraging for food.

”As expected, food obtained for free is the most delicious! This meat tastes good...”

Ye Yang used his beak to eat the flesh of the large wild ox in big bites; his appetite was huge, and he could finish this one-ton large wild ox in one sitting.

His body didn’t even weigh a ton, but his appetite was just that large.

His stomach was like a furnace, operating rapidly, digesting the flesh and blood into nutrients to enhance his physique.

Now, animals in the natural world rely on devouring flesh and blood to grow stronger; they cannot autonomously absorb the spiritual energy in the air to evolve and grow stronger, and can only let their bodies benefit from the imperceptible nourishment of spiritual energy.

If it weren’t for the fact that Ye Yang possessed the automatic upgrade system and his Basic Breathing Technique ran automatically twenty-four hours a day, allowing him to absorb spiritual energy and grow stronger at a speed far exceeding that of evolution through devouring, he would have long since gone around wreaking havoc on the animals in the natural world.

Another reason he didn’t do so was that he was afraid of attracting human attention.

Ye Yang, who was eating with his head lowered, looked up at the back of the Big Brown Bear in the dense forest.

He knew the Big Brown Bear’s thoughts; it hadn’t fully submitted to him, only feared his power.

If the Big Brown Bear’s power ever surpassed his, it would certainly come to challenge his position and occupy the peak, a place rich in spiritual energy.

However, Ye Yang didn’t have any other thoughts about the Big Brown Bear because this was the nature of animals: to submit to the strong, which meant power.

In their eyes, great power is the only truth.

”That Big Brown Bear will probably never know that I am a guy with a cheat, so how could I possibly be surpassed by him...”

”Compared to the Big Brown Bear, the Monkey King is much more perceptive...”

The Monkey King and the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey Troop were truly primates; Ye Yang felt that they had completely submitted to him after seeing him pull out that spirit tree with his own brute strength.

Otherwise, the Monkey King wouldn’t be bringing the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey Troop to search for spirit fruit for him every day. Now, in less than a week, the Monkey King had already brought back five spirit fruits for him, which pleasantly surprised him.

”That silly Giant Panda...”

Thinking of the Giant Panda, Ye Yang felt a bit speechless.

The Big Brown Bear wanted to grow stronger and stayed at the foot of the mountain for a long time to be nourished by the spiritual energy, which counted as a loyal guardian.

While the Monkey King and the monkey troop were his loyal little brothers, bringing him evolutionary resources from time to time.

But this silly Giant Panda—it wasn’t like the Big Brown Bear who wanted to grow stronger and stayed at the foot of the mountain for long periods, and it was hardly ever seen, spending all day digging into the forest to eat vegetation.

Ordinarily, Ye Yang wouldn’t care about the Giant Panda, but after sensing an unknown crisis from humanity, he felt he needed to prepare for the coming crisis.

”It seems I need to find an opportunity to properly train that silly Giant Panda...”

A trace of a mischievous smile flashed in his golden pupils.

...

A forest with lush trees, birds singing, and fragrant flowers.

”Ying ying!!!”

A massive black and white figure suddenly trembled and sneezed.

The Giant Panda’s dark, bright eyes were full of confusion; it blinked and looked around in puzzlement, then looked up, fixing its gaze back on the big tree in front of it.

Hanging from the branches of the big tree were drooping, yellowish-green fruits, emitting an exceptionally tempting scent.

If Ye Yang were here, he would know that these fruits with the tempting scent were all spirit fruits.

”Roar...”

The Giant Panda raised a bear paw to wipe the drool from the corner of its mouth, letting out a low, unwilling growl.

It had already encountered this kind of delicious fruit several times!

Why can’t I climb trees!

It must be because when I was little... Mom forgot to teach me...

Damn it...

The reason the Giant Panda had this thought was that a long time ago, it had seen a bear that looked very similar to it nimbly climb up a big tree.

Well... what it didn’t know was that the bear in its memory was a black bear, which is the only type of bear with the ability to climb trees.

”Beep beep beep beep!!!!!”

A crisp sound rang out!

The Giant Panda lowered its head to look at the source of the sound; it was that strange thing on its neck...

What was that strange thing... Bread!

The stimulation of delicious food made the Giant Panda’s brain nerves active!

Its dark, bright bear eyes lit up!

It turned around and rushed in one direction at full speed...
