Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

6: Chapter 6 The two women were shocked! This sparrow could understand human speech.”Holy crap! A monster!”

Seeing the Little Phoenix on the vanity nod, Li Minmin at the door let out a panicked, delicate shriek!

She stepped back, wanting to turn and leave, but noticed Ran Xiaoyue wasn’t moving, so she looked at Ran Xiaoyue with a mix of nervousness and confusion.

At this moment, Ran Xiaoyue’s beautiful eyes also showed panic, but her keen intuition told her that this fledgling, which had hatched from the egg she found, would definitely not hurt them.

With pale lips, she said intermittently, ”Little Phoenix... I know... you won’t hurt us...”

Hmm?

Ye Yang looked at the fair-skinned girl standing at the door with a puzzled look in his small eyes, thinking to himself.

If you know this bird won’t hurt you, why are your legs shaking so hard?

Her slender, attractive legs were trembling violently. ”Rest assured, we won’t hurt you... and you absolutely must not hurt us either!”

”We are both good people... and we have so little meat on us, the two of us together only weigh a little over a hundred pounds...”

”Wuu wuu wuu... don’t hurt us...”

By the end, she was crying uncontrollably.

Ye Yang: (⊙o⊙)...

”Turns out she’s a coward; I thought I’d met a girl with thick nerves...”

Ye Yang looked speechlessly at Ran Xiaoyue, who was shivering at the dormitory door, babbling nonsense, and crying. He didn’t understand what this girl was trying to do.

Afterwards, he turned around, flapped his wings, and leaped onto the balcony to bask in the sunlight.

”I won’t waste time with you two chicks; this bird needs to get stronger at all times!”

Seeing the Little Phoenix turn to the balcony, the two girls breathed a sigh of relief, feeling much more at ease.

Li Minmin asked Ran Xiaoyue in a low voice, puzzled, ”Xiaoyue, why not leave the dormitory? It’s too dangerous here now... The Little Phoenix’s rapid growth is too weird; it must be a monster!”

Ran Xiaoyue wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and glared at her best friend.

It wasn’t as if she hadn’t realized it. How could a fledgling grow into this size within three days, and even understand what they were saying?

”Even if it is a monster, it’s one I found and hatched myself. Rest assured, the Little Phoenix won’t hurt us.”

”But...”

Li Minmin also knew that the Little Phoenix wouldn’t hurt them... She wasn’t relying on intuition, but on reason.

They were two healthy, growing humans. Even if the Little Phoenix grew rapidly and reached the size of an adult Sparrow in less than a week, it couldn’t possibly be her match!

However... out of fear of the unknown regarding the Little Phoenix’s astonishing growth rate, she wanted to leave.

But seeing her best friend Li Minmin’s stubbornness, like an ox, she knew she wouldn’t leave, so naturally, she wouldn’t leave either.

”This Little Phoenix must be one of those bizarre animals circulating on the internet.”

Afterward, Li Minmin mustered her courage, bit her lip, and walked with a righteous air in front of Ye Yang, who was huddled on the balcony.

”Little Phoenix, I don’t care if you’re a good bird or a bad bird! You absolutely cannot hurt me and Xiaoyue! Otherwise, I will definitely make you know what roast goose tastes like!”

Her tone was very steady.

Ye Yang turned his head and glanced at her, keenly noticing the panic deep in Li Minmin’s eyes.

”This chick is putting on a brave front... Boring...”

He turned his head calmly to look out the window.

”Damn it! This Little Phoenix actually dares to mock me!”

Li Minmin was furious! Her chest heaved!

It was clearly just a Sparrow, yet its expression was so vivid. That look of disdain pierced straight into her heart, giving her the illusion that she was facing a human!

Before she could make any other move, she was stopped by Ran Xiaoyue.

”Hmph, Little Phoenix is lucky...”

What she didn’t know was that if Ran Xiaoyue hadn’t stopped her, she would definitely have been beaten up by a certain bird.

After all, the strength Ye Yang possessed at this moment was not something a young girl could contend with.

...

Inside the girls’ dormitory, Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin lost their usual liveliness, their minds entirely focused on the Sparrow.

They didn’t do their homework, and they only ate a few bites of dinner.

Even they, who never stayed up late, didn’t fall asleep until late at night, and they even slept in the same bed.

In the early hours of the morning.

Two whispers sounded in the dormitory, very soft, for fear of startling something.

”Xiaoyue, are you asleep?”

”No...”

”Me neither...”

”Go to sleep, the Little Phoenix won’t hurt us...”

”Xiaoyue, doesn’t your conscience hurt when you say that? You’re not even asleep yourself...”

”Xiaoyue... say something... you’re not asleep, are you? I’m scared being alone!”

”Don’t talk, Minmin, I’m asleep...”

”...”

”Xiaoyue... I have a bold and immature suggestion...”

”Mm, go ahead, Minmin.”

”Look, since you think the Little Phoenix won’t hurt us, we can’t keep living in fear like this, or it will definitely affect our lives and studies!”

”How about this... tomorrow my dad is taking his students to the mountains in the suburbs for a survey. Let’s take the Little Phoenix to see my dad. He’s an animal expert in this field and will definitely be able to judge the changes in the Little Phoenix...”

”That’s a good idea, but Minmin, we have school tomorrow!”

”Small problem, we can just ask for leave tomorrow.”

”Alright then...”

”Xiaoyue, I suddenly thought of a problem... do you think if this Little Phoenix is a male bird... did it see us bathing?”

”Don’t overthink it, maybe the Little Phoenix is a female bird...”

The little thing huddled on the balcony basking in the moonlight couldn’t help but move its body.

The night passed in silence.

Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin, who had fallen asleep, didn’t know that their whispers had all been heard by Ye Yang.

His agile eyes flickered with an eerie, bright moonlight in the dark environment.

”An animal expert, huh... I hope to learn more information about this world...”

...

The next day, following the late-night conversation between Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin, the two girls asked for leave early in the morning.

Then, Ran Xiaoyue poured a bowl of mealworms into a small dish while coaxing and cautiously asking Ye Yang on the balcony.

”Little Phoenix, Minmin and I are going out for a while later. Do you want to come with us?”

”Let me tell you, the scenery outside is beautiful! The mountains are green, the water is clear, the air is fresh, and in the outside world, you can meet many bird companions!”

Ye Yang acted as if he hadn’t heard, lowering his head to eat one mealworm at a time.

He had long since gotten used to the taste of mealworms, and to him, they were delicious.

Under the nervous gaze of Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin, Ye Yang ate the last mealworm in the bowl.

He raised his small gray head and nodded at the nervous Ran Xiaoyue.

”Phew...”

Seeing this, the two girls looked at each other and breathed a sigh of relief.

They called a taxi and headed straight for the outskirts of Jianghai City.
