Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

3: Chapter 3 One Hundred Supreme Breath Cells! Basic Breathing TechniquesThree days later.

In the girls’ dormitory for the third year of high school at the Third Middle School.

Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin sat on stools, staring wide-eyed at the grayish-brown bird huddled on the balcony.

”Minmin, this girl feels something is wrong... The internet says chicks take over a week to open their eyes, so how is Little Phoenix already like this?”

On the balcony, under a few rays of sunlight.

A little bird with grayish-brown feathers was huddled there, indistinguishable from an ordinary Sparrow, except for a beautiful, fiery red plume on its forehead, and a pair of small eyes that were extremely lively and intelligent.

Only three days had passed, but Ye Yang’s growth rate far exceeded that of an average chick. Not only had he opened his small eyes, but his feathers were even able to cover his body.

Because Ye Yang was entirely fiery red when he was a chick, Ran Xiaoyue named him Little Phoenix.

A flash of surprise crossed Ran Xiaoyue’s beautiful eyes, ”It really is! Even all his feathers have grown out!”

Li Minmin, who was beside her, listened thoughtfully, then suddenly stood up abruptly!

”Xiaoyue, do you think... could Little Phoenix be one of those monsters rumored on the internet?”

Ye Yang, who was huddled on the balcony basking in the sunlight, opened his eyes a crack upon hearing this, squinting at the two beautiful, youthful girls close by.

Over the past few days, he had pieced together a lot of information and heard about quite a few strange occurrences from the mouths of these two girls.

First, he confirmed that this was a world with the same background as his previous life, though some details were different, such as the country he was currently in, which was called the Great Xia Kingdom.

It was just that the country name was different from his past life.

As for the strange occurrences...

There were numerous rumors on the internet: fire-breathing roosters, giant snakes as thick as water buckets, zoo animals howling and roaring at the moon in the middle of the night...

Some speculated that these animals’ behavior might indicate that there would soon be major changes in the natural world...

But one had to realize that these animal phenomena were happening all over the world; what kind of change in nature could affect the entire globe?

Could it be a prehistoric natural disaster with huge impact, like an ice age or crustal movement?

Many people began to panic, so government departments around the world started investigations, but they didn’t release any information.

And some imaginative netizens, seeing the disparate changes in animals, said this might be animals evolving rapidly!

Anyway, regardless, many people were now feeling panicked, and official departments were even urging people that if they encountered animals with strange changes, they must hand them over to local relevant departments and ensure their own safety...

Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin looked at each other and shook their heads in unison.

”No, Little Phoenix definitely won’t hurt us.”

Ran Xiaoyue said with certainty in her heart; although she had only picked up this Sparrow egg a few days ago, her intuition told her that this clever and lively Little Phoenix would not hurt her.

Li Minmin nodded in agreement, ”This Little Phoenix is clearly a Sparrow, but it has a beautiful red plume on its forehead; it looks truly extraordinary...”

Behind them, the two girls gathered around Ye Yang again, chirping away like two orioles.

Ye Yang naturally ignored the idle chatter of the two girls that followed.

He pondered to himself...

Although he had only just opened his eyes not long ago, he had learned a lot of information about this world from the mouths of the two girls, Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin.

First, the technological level of this world was the same as his previous life.

Initially, he thought he had come to a parallel world, but from the girls’ fragmented words, he learned an important piece of information.

At some unknown point, animals all over the world had recently begun to change drastically—their intelligence increasing, their sizes growing larger... it seemed they were evolving.

”Could this be the beginning of the spiritual energy recovery from the novels of my past life?”

His speculation about the background of spiritual energy recovery was not baseless; not only were there changes in the animals of the world, but even he, this Sparrow, could perceive unknown energy flowing through the air.

Unfortunately, he could feel this faint energy, but he couldn’t absorb it.

The only thing he could absorb right now was the energy contained in the sunlight.

However, he believed that the energy he absorbed from sunlight was of much higher quality than the energy in the air, and the benefits he gained far exceeded those of other creatures; after all, he was a bird with an automatic upgrade system!

”Ding, your Supreme Aura Cells are basking in the sunlight, feeling very comfortable and pleasant, efficiency increased...”

”Ding, through the unremitting efforts of your Supreme Aura Cells, they are constantly infecting the surrounding ordinary cells...”

”Ding, your body now possesses 100 Supreme Aura Cells, activating the special skill—Basic Breathing Technique!”

”Hmm!!!”

Ye Yang, who was huddled on the balcony, felt his whole bird body tremble!

He had already gotten used to the system’s mechanical notification sounds over the past few days; they were all uniformly about the Supreme Aura Cells constantly infecting the surrounding ordinary cells.

It made him constantly sigh that the Supreme Aura Cells were truly qualified 007 workaholics; as long as they were basking in the sunlight, they never rested.

However, the efficiency and speed of the Supreme Aura Cells infecting cells were not very fast, and the reason was that he had been able to get very little sunlight over these three days.

After all, he was still a chick, and without the help of Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin, he couldn’t get to the balcony on his own.

Now, unknowingly, he already had 100 Supreme Aura Cells! The system notification sound had also brought a change!

He had actually activated a skill—Basic Breathing Technique!

”System Panel!”

Host: Ye Yang

Race: Sparrow

Level: Mortal

Bloodline: Unawakened (100 Supreme Aura Cells)

Skill: Basic Breathing Technique (Entry Level)

The system panel had indeed changed, and the words ”Basic Breathing Technique” had appeared in the previously empty skill bar.

”This will definitely help me become stronger!”

Ye Yang suppressed the excitement in his heart and focused his mind on the ”Basic Breathing Technique” on the system panel, and a piece of information appeared in his mind.

A few seconds later, he understood the function of the Basic Breathing Technique.

Although the Basic Breathing Technique was the most fundamental breathing method, it was simple to operate; by following a certain breathing rhythm and pattern, one could absorb the energy in the air into the body, strengthen one’s own body, and make oneself increasingly powerful.

Ye Yang immediately controlled his breathing, held his breath, and focused, his intelligent eyes looking toward the air outside the balcony.

He had been craving the energy in the air for a long time...

But before he could make any extra movements, the familiar mechanical notification sound rang in his mind.

”Ding, your Basic Breathing Technique has just been born; after sensing your hunger for the energy in the air, it is starting to work hard to absorb spiritual energy...”

”Ding, your Basic Breathing Technique proficiency has increased...”

After the system notification sound rang, Ye Yang immediately felt waves of warm current appearing within his body, strengthening him.

His intelligent eyes widened!

”Oh my god! Even the Basic Breathing Technique can automatically upgrade!”

”This is simply lying down and becoming stronger!”
