Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

8: Chapter 8 The Big Black Husky! The Supreme Aura Cell is AngryOn the outskirts of Jianghai City, a Sparrow with shimmering grey feathers rested quietly in the palm of a young girl.

Ye Yang listened carefully to the words of Professor Li before him. This middle-aged man was the most knowledgeable person he had encountered in this world, and surely the one who understood the drastic changes occurring in this world the best.

He wanted to understand the changes happening in this world; that was the reason he had followed Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin here.

”What a coincidence. The people in this world have also detected the energy drifting in the air, and have even named it spiritual energy...”

”Woof, woof, woof!!!”

Suddenly, before Professor Li could finish speaking, a swift black shadow lunged toward Ran Xiaoyue!

No! To be precise, it was lunging toward Ye Yang in Ran Xiaoyue’s palm!

As a Sparrow, Ye Yang possessed all the instincts of a Sparrow perfectly, and the alertness of a bird was naturally no exception!

In an instant, he rose, flapped his wings, and took to the air!

”Woof, woof, woof!”

Only then did Ye Yang see what had lunged at him—it was a large black dog!

And it was a Husky!

A cold glint shot from his eyes!

”You mutt, how dare you ambush this bird! Let’s see me smash your dog head in!”

Big Black the Husky lunged forward so suddenly that everyone was caught completely off guard. They only saw a pitch-black shadow accompanied by a gust of wind rushing toward them!

”Ah! What a big dog!”

”Damn! Don’t be afraid! This is the Husky raised by Professor Li!”

”Huh... I haven’t seen Big Black in a long time; why does it lack its usual goofiness and have a heroic air about it instead?”

”This Husky is still so hyperactive, it loves chasing birds...”

After Big Black the Husky lunged over and discovered its target had disappeared, it stopped in front of the crowd, having neither harmed anyone nor collided with anyone.

Most of them recognized this Husky; it was the one Professor Li kept at home.

What made everyone feel strange and surprised was that this Husky now completely lacked the goofiness of a Husky, and instead possessed a hint of a heroic aura.

The crowd only assumed that chasing birds was a dog’s nature; they did not know the true thoughts within the heart of Big Black the Husky.

Having stopped, the Husky didn’t care about the crowd’s gazes. It raised its head, its bright eyes fixed intently on the little bird hovering in the sky.

It stuck out its tongue and licked its lips, feeling that as long as it ate this little bird, it would definitely be able to become even stronger!

This was also the reason for its ambush...

Suddenly, its whole body tensed up. A sense of crisis, as if it were being watched by a prehistoric beast, enveloped it. This sense of crisis was coming directly from the bird in the sky!

It could not be defeated! Danger!

It decisively dashed behind Li Minmin, wagging its tail while emitting whimpering, aggrieved sounds. It was the complete picture of a silly Husky, without a trace of its earlier heroic image.

”This...”

The crowd was somewhat dumbfounded, not understanding what this big Husky was trying to do.

However, a Husky’s behavior is often just that incomprehensible.

Professor Li found the Husky’s behavior rather strange.

”Strange, Big Black’s behavior has been very intelligent lately; why is it acting like this?”

Only Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin were somewhat certain in their hearts. They looked up at the Little Phoenix hovering in the air. Could it be because of the Little Phoenix?

Professor Li continued, ”I was just about to mention Big Black. I don’t know when it started, but globally, not only animals in the wild, but even poultry and pets around humans have begun to show vastly different behaviors...”

”Therefore, the phenomenon of this little bird is not surprising... As for whether there is any danger... There shouldn’t be, because even though the animals are acting a bit differently, they still haven’t transcended the category of animals, and currently pose no threat to humans.”

Hearing this, Ran Xiaoyue let out a sigh of relief and waved at the Little Phoenix in the sky.

Ye Yang glanced at the Husky hiding behind Li Minmin, realized that this Husky was no match for him, and then slowly descended toward Ran Xiaoyue’s palm.

”This Husky attacked me proactively; it must have noticed the difference in me...”

”I wonder if other creatures are the same as this Husky...”

Ye Yang suddenly felt a sense of crisis, as if he were a target for everyone. However, his mood was not troubled by this issue.

As long as he evolved and leveled up to become the most powerful existence among all creatures, this problem would no longer be a problem!

As for this Husky that ambushed him, he could just find an opportunity to teach it a lesson later...

Sensing the glance from that strange, crisis-filled little bird, the Husky hiding behind Li Minmin let its tail drop straight down, not daring to even look at Ye Yang in the distance.

”Alright, we still have a mission; let’s hurry and head into the mountains.”

”Okay! Professor Li...”

The group marched imposingly toward a towering mountain.

Since this was the outskirts of Jianghai City and not too far from the human city, people often came here to visit, so there were many traces of human activity on the outskirts of the mountain.

The most obvious were the large amounts of trash and plastic bottles.

Gradually, as the group went deeper into the mountain, traces of humans became rarer, the forest became denser, and the ground was covered in dead branches and leaves larger than a human palm.

”Ding, the spiritual energy content in the surrounding air is relatively high. Your Basic Breathing Technique feels happy, and its operational efficiency has increased!”

”Hmm?”

Ye Yang, who was in Ran Xiaoyue’s arms, flashed a small glint in his eyes!

He looked up at his surroundings and realized that the spiritual energy contained in the air was much more abundant than in the city.

The speed at which his body absorbed spiritual energy to nourish itself had increased by a large margin!

”I didn’t expect there to be this benefit to coming into the mountains. The Basic Breathing Technique is truly impressive!”

He had only obtained the Basic Breathing Technique a few days ago; it had already increased his proficiency level and even boosted his strength to F-, it was just too strong!

”Ding, you praised the Basic Breathing Technique excessively in your heart, making the Supreme Aura Cells very angry. They have decided to stop absorbing solar energy and have fallen into a deep sleep...”

This made Ye Yang’s small eyes widen in shock!

He hadn’t expected the Supreme Aura Cells to have such a personality!

”These Supreme Aura Cells have too much personality, right? They even get jealous?”

Ye Yang couldn’t let the Supreme Aura Cells stop absorbing; he had to know that the Basic Breathing Technique was given by the Supreme Aura Cells, and what’s more... he couldn’t actively absorb energy from sunlight, nor could he control the Supreme Aura Cells to infect other cells!

”Oh, Supreme Aura Cells... You are the best! The Basic Breathing Technique was derived from you; in human terms, it is your child... your junior...”

”Mysterious and powerful as you are, you shouldn’t lower yourself to bicker with your child and junior...”

”Ding, your dormant Supreme Aura Cells listened to your words and seemed thoughtful. They have ended their dormant state and begun to operate automatically!”

”Whew...”

Ye Yang let out a long breath; fortunately, the Supreme Aura Cells seemed easy to coax.

Just as Ye Yang was having these internal thoughts, Professor Li and his group also discovered many interesting things.
