Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

38: Chapter 38 HatredDeep within the dense forest, the three-meter-tall, burly Monkey King carried a limp, mangled body as easily as if he were holding a chicken.

The Golden Snub-nosed Monkey King leapt through the trees while scanning the forest with his pale yellow eyes for a direction.

Big Brother, the White-Feathered Giant Eagle, seemed to detest the corpses of these two-legged beasts, so he had to throw it far away.

He continued his rapid leaps through the woods for an unknown amount of time.

He felt that he was now far enough from Big Brother White-Feathered Giant Eagle’s mountain territory.

Thud!

With a release of his grip, the shattered corpse dropped to the ground, and the Monkey King vanished back into the forest.

Shortly after he left, a group of soldiers in camouflage arrived at the spot.

Looking at the mangled corpse on the ground, one soldier remained speechless for a long time.

”Based on our recent investigation... the deceased is from Dragon City in the Great Xia Kingdom. He hired a foreign squad to come to the outskirts of Jianghai City to capture the White-Feathered Giant Eagle.”

”Is there any other information?”

”The deceased’s identity is not simple... he’s the son of a director at the Blue Sky Military Industrial Group...”

Hearing this, the hearts of all the Jianghai City soldiers present trembled!

Ordinary people might not know what kind of company the Blue Sky Military Industrial Group was, but the soldiers of Great Xia knew it very well...

It was the top military factory in the country! Nearly one-fifth of the military’s equipment came from Blue Sky Military Industrial Group.

Moreover, the directors of the Blue Sky Group were rumored to hold immense power and be ruthless... If they found out their child died in the outskirts of Jianghai City, it would surely set this entire area ablaze!

It might even implicate Jianghai City itself!

These soldiers were the Jianghai City garrison. Their original plan was to arrest the young man, Young Master Wang, and the mercenary squad, and perhaps take the White-Feathered Giant Eagle back as research material...

However, they didn’t expect that while lurking in the distance, they would only hear a loud boom, followed shortly after by the detection of a several-meter-tall ape-like monkey carrying a corpse through the forest.

They had quietly sneaked closer to investigate.

”Platoon Leader, are we still continuing the mission to arrest the illegal mercenary squad and the target White-Feathered Giant Eagle?”

”Since the young master of the Blue Sky Group is dead, then the mercenary squad is likely doomed as well... That White-Feathered Giant Eagle is probably more terrifying than we anticipated...”

The Platoon Leader thought it over calmly; the current situation deviated significantly from the plan set by the Jianghai City military command.

He took out his communicator and reported the situation they discovered.

A few minutes later, he put down the communicator and breathed a sigh of relief. For some reason, he felt that if their squad went to capture the White-Feathered Giant Eagle, it would not end well.

Fortunately, the superiors had called off the plan.

”Withdraw!”

The squad of over a dozen people got into their vehicles by the forest road and retreated toward Jianghai City.

...

Soon, the officials of Jianghai City also learned the news. After a rare silence among the various leaders and superiors,

They decided to observe the White-Feathered Giant Eagle for a while to gather detailed data before taking action. Without absolute certainty, they would not move against a creature capable of wiping out a mercenary team.

More importantly, the White-Feathered Giant Eagle had never approached Jianghai City, which was a major reason for their decision.

...

A short while later, in Dragon City, the capital of Great Xia, inside a towering skyscraper,

A middle-aged man with a stern face listened to the information coming through his phone...

Crack!

With a flick of his arm, the phone was slammed onto the polished floor, shattering into pieces!

”My son! How could he be dead?!”

Wang Jin roared!

His furious voice echoed through the massive office!

His wide eyes were filled with the rage of a volcanic eruption!

”The way that useless thing died... he was actually killed by a beast!”

As a successful man with a massive estate and immense power, Wang Jin had five children. The one who died was his third son, and also the most disappointing one.

If it had been an accidental death, he would only feel some regret, but to be killed by a beast was something he would never allow!

”How could my, Wang Jin’s, son be killed by a beast?! Even an ancient creature won’t do!”

The ruthlessness in his eyes caused the temperature in the large office to drop several degrees, harboring a storm that seemed capable of tearing everything apart.

”Ancient creature... White-Feathered Giant Eagle...”

”Heh...”

...

On the other side.

Within the hundreds of miles of mountains on the outskirts of Jianghai City.

The mountain peak and cave, cleaned by the monkey troop, looked brand new, with some fragrant herbs and green plants growing on the peak.

If one didn’t look closely, it was impossible to tell that this place had been a bloody mess not long ago; even the air had become much fresher.

”As expected of primates, those flexible limbs are truly convenient...”

If Ye Yang had cleaned the peak and cave himself, it definitely wouldn’t have been this effective.

Now, the Brown Bear and Giant Panda roamed at the foot of the mountain, acting as guards to stop any creatures from ascending.

The monkey troop also helped him search for spirit fruit in the forest. Ye Yang had fully begun to live the life of a mountain king, quite relaxed and comfortable.

Inwardly, he once again praised his decision to subdue the Brown Bear, Giant Panda, Monkey King, and the monkey troop.

His golden pupils looked at the spirit tree before him. Its effect of gathering spiritual energy was remarkable; in just a short while, a faint mist had appeared on the mountain peak.

This mist was transformed from spiritual energy, a physical manifestation of extreme density.

For Ye Yang, who automatically absorbed spiritual energy to grow stronger at all times, this was a very welcome development.

”Right, I remember there was another spirit tree...”

Ye Yang recalled the red spirit fruit he had eaten for the first time.

His eyes lit up, and he flapped his wings, turning into a streak of light as he flew into the distance.

A moment later, he arrived before that large tree.

The result left him very disappointed...

Because this tree that produced the red spirit fruit didn’t have the spiritual energy gathering effect of the spirit tree on the mountain; it was just an ordinary large tree.

This completely dispelled Ye Yang’s previous idea of being a ”forest ranger” and planting a large number of spirit trees on the mountain.

”It seems things related to spiritual energy are still very precious...”

However, he was satisfied, because his current speed of evolution and strengthening was definitely the fastest on Blue Star!

Well... at least within his knowledge.

Next, he would just stay on the mountain and steadily grow stronger...

...

The Giant Panda’s dark, shiny eyes looked toward the mountain peak, longing for the glowing bamboo.

Then he turned and left the mountain to explore the dense forest.

He didn’t want to leave this place; he was just hungry and wanted to find food.

Moving in fits and starts, he used his keen sense of smell to find many delicious and tender plants.

This made him very happy.

In this way, without realizing it, he gradually moved away from the mountain and approached the distant road.

Suddenly, the Giant Panda’s paws stopped.

He raised his round head, his nose twitched, and his dark bear eyes lit up!

He dashed quickly in one direction!

Because this was a delicious scent he had never smelled before!
