Tianjing City, villa by Hong Lake in the southwest, villa no. 16.

Hong Anbao violently threw the wine glass onto the floor. “Damn it! Why is that rascal Hong Dali’s luck so good!? Everything he squanders in something, he always manages to get back such a big reward!? I Am a Singer, I Am a Singer! Damn it! How the heck did this show become so popular? How can it become so popular!? My plan was almost going to succeed, but this happened! Damn it, this can’t do, I need to think of something! There are only three best slots for the younger generation during the family meeting! Mu Yuxi that b*tch definitely will take up one of them, and Big Uncle’s son, Hong Anjin, definitely will count as one of them too. If Hong Dali takes up the last slot, I will be left with nothing!”

It was no wonder that he was nervous, only three people would be awarded as one of the most capable members of the younger generation. The one in the first place would obtain a 100 million yuan of capital, the second 80 million yuan, and the last 50 million yuan.

Seeing that Hong Dali’s show was reaping such high rewards, Hong Anbao was really getting nervous.

Especially as recently, his Fierce Bull beverages was obviously loosing to Might Beverages, the sales performance constantly going downwards!

“This can’t do, I must think of something! I can’t just sit around and wait!” Hong Anbao fiercely said.

…

Disregarding how Hong Anbao was worried about himself, the popularity of “I Am a Singer” was still on the rise.

Thursday afternoon, as the forum for “I Am a Singer” was created on Sangle, the number of members shortly exceeded 500,000 and continued to increase rapidly.

Friday, the official Weibo for “I Am a Singer” was formed, and the number of members who followed it reached 200,000 in the morning. As word got around, every hour saw an increase of 10,000 or so.

Saturday, the media started to focus on introducing the Holographic Projection Technology and translated the report in several languages, posting it on the articles of other countries too.

…

Sunday, city center, Sangle headquarters, 16th floor.

The secretary was full of sweat as he read the report in his hand. He carefully reported to Hong Weiguo: “CEO Hong, the number of people using our search engine increased by another 4% these few days. The main reason was because of ‘I Am a Singer’ that Young Master Dali hosted. From the looks of it, there’s still a lot of room for growth. After all, similar to Unexpectedly! , ‘I Am a Singer’ also has ten episodes…”

Hong Weiguo helplessly shook his head. “This little rascal. He spent seven to eight million just for a TV show, he is really daring.”

The secretary stood at one side, asking, “CEO Hong, then, what should we do next…”

Hong Weiguo touched his chin, suddenly changing the subject. “We don’t have to do anything. Oh right, that child, Lin Chuyin, how is she doing lately? I remember that she brought Dali to her lab the other day.”

The secretary said, “Yes, that’s right. Currently, Miss Chuyin treats Young Master Dali quite well. The Holographic Projection Technology was her creation, and she gave it to Young Master Dali. But Young Master Dali’s moral quality is very good—on the day he got the technology, he helped Miss Chuyin to apply for its patent. From the current looks of things, Miss Chuyin didn’t object to it. Oh right, one of the few projects that Young Master Dali requested to develop was to build a laboratory for Miss Chuyin. The venue is at the outer area of Tianjing Mountain, and work has already started.”

Hong Weiguo took in a deep breath. “What is this little rascal planning to do exactly? He wants to build a mountain stronghold at Fengyuan Lake to be a bandit lord, and instead of building villas at Tianjing Mountain, he plans to build a laboratory. After producing ‘I Am a Singer’ and Unexpectedly! , he went to play in the movie industry…”

Hearing Hong Weiguo’s muttering, the secretary softly said, “CEO Hong, I think that Young Master Dali seems to be… seems to be…”

“Seems to be what?” Hong Weiguo asked.

The secretary wiped his sweat and said, “He seems to be planning on taking over all of the industries. There’s also Zhong Dian website, buying of land, and recently, he made a research laboratory in Chenhui Building 10th floor… He’s involved in too many areas…”

Once he remembered the things that Hong Dali recently did, Hong Weiguo wanted to laugh. “This little prodigal. If he wants to play around, then let him be. There aren’t any major projects anyway, only ten million and below. It’s not a problem.”

“OK, I will go and arrange it now.” Being able to become Hong Weiguo’s secretary, his eye power was naturally not bad. But as he was leaving, he didn’t forget to ask one last thing, “But CEO Hong, according to reports, Young Master Dali seems to be starting to earn money.”

“How much did he earn? Hm, let me count.” Hong Weiguo started to count those assets of Hong Dali that might be earning money. “Ye Lai Xiang, the internet downloads for Unexpectedly! and ‘I Am a Singer,’ plus the copyright fees and such… He should have earned 2 million or so, right?”

“Er…” The secretary flipped through the report, then difficultly swallowed down his saliva. “CEO Hong, what you said is… a bit too little.”

“Too little? Then, how much is it?” Hong Weiguo curiously asked.

The secretary tabulated: “Currently, the fee to broadcast each episode of ‘I Am a Singer’ is one million. The fee for So Cool video-sharing website is one 1.5 million. Plus the entrance fee for each performance of ‘I Am a Singer,’ the current estimation after deducting the cost is that Young Master Dali can earn about three million yuan of pocket money every week.”

“…” Hong Weiguo was totally speechless.

The secretary continued to report: “And from Miss Zhang Cai’s latest report, there seems to be a foreign TV station that plans to buy the rights to host ‘I Am a Singer’ overseas. The discussion is still in progress, but details haven’t been finalized yet.”

Hong Weiguo laughed loudly. “This little rascal, it seems that he is giving us a big surprise this time as well. OK, you can leave first. Let me think this over carefully.”

“OK.” The secretary instantly exited the room.

After the secretary left, Hong Weiguo fiercely clenched his fist. “Well done, Dali! By the time of the family meeting, let’s see who still dares to say anything against you, hahaha!”

…

Chenhui Building, Caiwei Entertainment.

Zhang Cai held two documents and reported to Hong Dali: “Young Master, currently, there are people from South Korea and Merika who want to buy the rights to ‘I Am a Singer.’ Young Master, your instructions are…”

“South Korea?” Hong Dali was planning to say that he didn’t plan to sell the rights, but once he imagined selling “I Am a Singer” to the “Oppas” in South Korea, the thought of it felt quite enjoyable. “How much did they offer?”

Zhang Cai looked at the document and said, “They offered three million yuan to buy the lifelong rights to host ‘I Am a Singer.’”

“Three million…” Hong Dali smiled in disdain. “Are they trying to fool a ghost? No.”

Hearing him say this, Tang Muxin, who was at the side, was instantly alarmed. She softly reminded him, “Dali, this is just the right for them to host the show, we don’t have to give them anything else.”

Hong Dali still objected. “I know that. The problem is that the price is too low! Those Koreans are rich anyway, it’s fine. What about Merika?”

“The people from Merika offered four million US dollars, but they request that we lend them the Holographic Projection Technology.” Zhang Cai asked, “Then, Young Master, for them…”

“No.” This time, Holographic Projection Technology was even more straightforward. As the Holographic Projection Technology was still not yet fully completed, it still needed to be kept a secret. Otherwise, once they borrowed the Holographic Projection Technology and directly developed the Colored Holographic Projection Technology and applied the patent for it, it would be a huge loss! Therefore, he decisively rejected. “Just four million, and they want to borrow the Holographic Projection Technology? Tell them to f*ck off! They think I don’t know what they are truly thinking of?”

This time, Tang Muxin totally agreed with him. “Dali, you’re really smart. I thought you rejected because you thought the price was too low, but it was actually because of this. Not bad at all.”

Laying on Li Nianwei’s thigh, Hong Dali changed his position and said, “That’s for sure, it’s not like I’m lacking money. This Holographic Projection Technology is very important, we can’t lend it out easily. What do we do if they learn the technology through it? I’m not afraid that they will imitate our technology, but I’m afraid that they will defeat our legal one with their imitated one!”

Imitated defeating the legal, this was something that the QQ company from his previous life often did. Hong Dali couldn’t afford to be careless.

“Then, I shall go back and reject them.” Since the Young Master had already decided, Zhang Cai naturally knew what to do.

“Ah~~ I shall sleep for a while more.” After giving out a long yawn, Hong Dali closed his eyes. But in his mind, he hurriedly pulled out the Great Prodigal System. Now that the third mission had been completed, he was only left with adding in the attribute points!

System: “The third mission has been completed, an extra 15 attribute points shall be rewarded. At the same time, as all of the beginner missions have been completed, the System shall be going through a countdown to the upgrade phase. Once the host has reached 100 points in each attribute, the System shall undergo the upgrade immediately. Once the System is upgraded, only the attributes will be maintained at the maximum. The other monetary values will all be erased.”

What this meant was simple. As the beginner missions had all been completed, the remaining thing to do was just to accumulate attribute points to maximize his attributes. Once that was done, the System would upgrade itself. Once the upgrade started, regardless of how much extra attribute points he had left—and whether he added them or not—the stats would go back to the default maximum, and the rest of the values and attribute points would be erased.

He believed that, by that time, the System would definitely have more and better functions—in fact, there was already two quite good Side Missions:

[Side Mission 1: The Caring Little Prodigal. Mission Requirement: Unknown. Current Progress: 0/1000. Mission Reward: The title “Animals’ Best Friend.” Title Effect: The host will not be attacked by any big animals as long as the host does not attack them first. Title Level: Junior. Additional explanation: This mission does not have to be completed. Once the System finishes upgrading, it will be erased.]

[Side Mission 2: Nature’s Little Prodigal. Mission Requirement: Protect the environment. Current Progress: 232/1000. Mission Reward: The title “Nature’s Best Friend.” Title Effect: Obtain the favor of Nature, the ability to freely float in water. Title Level: Junior. Additional explanation: This mission does not have to be completed. Once the System finishes upgrading, it will be erased.]

These were good missions… Hong Dali smiled in delight.
