Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

As a Senior Music Producer from the Ku Ge Music Company, Sheng Wenshi was really getting bored from being idle for the past few days.

Since he had listened to Li Nianwei’s concert, till this day, he wasn’t able to derive any excitement from listening to any other songs. In reality, he wished that the entire Ku Ge Music Software could be used solely to recommend Li Nianwei’s songs. Of course, that was impossible. Regardless of how great Li Nianwei’s songs were, he had to follow the rules.

At the first glimmer of dawn, a dazed Sheng Wenshi climbed out of bed. He switched on his tablet, logged in on his Xinhai Weipo account and posted a status, “What a boring past two days, does anyone have any good songs to recommend?” out of boredom. He then habitually browsed the “hot” topics.

“Hm? Unexpectedly! ? First in the ‘hot’ topic rankings? What is it even? How is it that its score is so much higher than the second-ranked?” A puzzled Sheng Wenshi clicked on the link and realized that all those who contributed to the comments section had given strong praise.

“That good? So Cool video-sharing website?” At once, Sheng Wenshi followed the comments’ recommendations and clicked on the link to the So Cool video-sharing website. As the front page was displayed, he was shocked to the core. “No way? What the heck is this? This Unexpectedly! actually took half of the area of the web page!? Is the Chief Editor of So Cool crazy?”

However, there was a reason for everything. Otherwise, even if the website featured it in such a manner, it would at most be just a fish in the pan, dying out soon after.

Upon clicking on the link to the Unexpectedly! video webpage, the numbers displayed gave Sheng Wenshi a huge shock. “543,245 downloads!? 1,654,187 visitor volume!? There wasn’t even such a thing yesterday, and now it got so many downloads overnight?”

As the saying goes, there must be a reason behind every special event. If the reason for its huge popularity was due to the insane featuring, the downloads would highlight the issue. Users weren’t dumb—if the video were bad, no one would buy it.

“Is it really that great?” Seeing that, Sheng Wenshi had already gained some baseline confidence. He then took his time to click on the video link.

First, there was a gentle voice as an opener: “This program is—”

Next was a coarser male voice: “The Prodigal Alliance—” Followed by a young voice: “I want to squander, I want to splurge!”

It was followed by a gentle female voice: “And—”

It was still the previous male voice: “The Tang Medical Enterprise.” Next was a soft-spoken female voice saying, “Don’t stop taking the medication!”

Male dubbing: “Might Beverages.” This time it was the young voice intentionally making it sound coarser, continuing, “Miss Might Beverages for a day, and I feel uneasy all over!”

The gentle female voice concluded: “Sponsored and broadcasted.”

“Ptui—” Sheng Wenshi couldn’t hold it in as he fell onto his bed and started laughing hysterically. He continued watching while laughing and waited till he heard: “My entire life was one without regret, I remember the run by the sunset on that fateful day…” At this time, the mysterious back view of a figure wearing an ancient costume was running very slowly at the side, leaving only a lonely back view. Then a plump male lackey continued, “That was my lost youth, ah~~~”

That enchanting “ah~~~” sound, though being only a single word, was all-encompassing. It encompassed unwillingness, unhappiness, and various other emotions, especially the last note, which could directly strike a chord within one’s soul. Sheng Wenshi heard it once and couldn’t hold it in any longer, rolling onto his bed laughing hysterically. “Ahahahahaha, It’s so funny! This… this is too much, hahaha!”

Luckily, he had a healthy body. Otherwise, he would have laughed himself to death!

“Viral! This show has to get viral!” Sheng Wenshi’s eyes shone brightly. The video wasn’t a long one, but based on his acute senses of the entertainment industry, Sheng Wenshi was sure that the video would get viral!

“The ending should include the producer. This idea is great!” Sheng Wenshi’s eyes were locked onto the screen, as he continued, “Huge effect with just a small production. This video probably took less than 50,000 yuan to produce and yet invited such a wonderful reputation… Incredible!”

Sheng Wenshi was already aware that when this video was spread, the production team would definitely become severely sought after!

One should be aware that, just after one night, there had already been more than 500,000 downloads—and these required payments. This point was enough to indicate the video’s quality. The main actor, with that adorable disposition, made it especially unmatched!

Genius, this is ingenious!

In the entertainment business, this sort of team who can produce this kind of small production with a huge outreach—this was definitely a promising team, definitely a scarce resource in the entertainment business that everyone wanted to connect with. If one connected with them just as they were starting to boom, future negotiations would be easier.

“Where is it, where is it?” Sheng Wenshi watched the entire film and finally found it. “Cai Wei Entertainment!? Li Nianwei’s company? Young Master!?”

“No wonder… no wonder…” Sheng Wenshi dropped his cell phone and smiled helplessly. “Genius, an absolute genius!”

If the layman did not have much of an idea about Cai Wei Entertainment, Sheng Wenshi wasn’t one of them, as he was one of the few who knew its internal happenings. He was the first to learn of the incident in which Ding Chengzhi obtained a sponsorship amount of 5,000,000 from Young Master.

Because of that, Ding Chengzhi had been bragging about it since.

He dazed for a long while, before decisively downloading the video into his tablet. Then, he kept spamming phone calls to his good friend, Ding Chengzhi.

The moment the line connected, Sheng Wenshi roared, “Old Ding, you’ve got to look at this!”

“What is it? You haven’t fully awoken yet?” Ding Chengzhi’s impatient voice sounded from the phone, as he continued, “Let me sleep for a while more…”

Sheng Wenshi kept shouting, “Let me tell you this. If you don’t hurry up, I guarantee you will regret it for your whole life! Your whole life!”

“What’s the hurry? Can’t you wait for a few minutes?” Ding Chengzhi was about to go back to sleep. In reality, in this period, producing the soundtrack for “The Gale Flash” made him really busy every day. He was genuinely tired.

“Not even for a few seconds!” Sheng Wenshi roared again. “Cai Wei Entertainment has released a new film, made by Young Master!”
