Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

“Please come with me.” After Sheng Wenshi and his entourage got off the bus, the security guard quickly took the lead. “There is a primary school in front of us. The playground there is a temporary airport stop for our helicopters. When you get there, you can all get into the stadium.”

After making turns here and there, even though it was just a few hundred meters away, they had walked for ten minutes. What awaited them was an unforgettable scene…

At this time, about 5,000 square meters of the elementary school playground, many people were standing together. At least four or five thousand people were visually observed. Then, a huge iron cage was tied under a helicopter, with several steel pipes installed in the cage.

After the helicopter flew back, the iron cage was released and fell to the ground. More than a dozen people then went in and grabbed the welded steel pipes inside the cage. The helicopter propellers hwed, and after a sudden turn, the iron cage was pulled straight to the sky, and then flew to the direction of the stadium… After about two minutes, the helicopter flew back…

Sheng Wenshi and others were full of cold sweat. It seemed that this helicopter was not so comfortable to sit in…

Because the number of helicopters was sufficient, the flight was short, and there was enough space in the cages—the group of people, including Sheng Wenshi, finally entered the iron cage at around 7:40 PM.

After entering the cage, Sheng Wenshi and others clung to the steel pipe inside the cage and stood in a horse stance. A security guard took the intercom and said, “Liftoff!” Then, the helicopter swayed and rose…

The previous times he took a plane, Sheng Wenshi didn’t feel anything wrong at all. However, this time, he finally understood how it felt when his feet were suspended from the ground, in the air—he was immediately filled with cold sweat. But in just a short while, he was completely attracted by other scenes.

In the air, Sheng Wenshi finally saw how many people came to watch “I Am a Singer” and how spectacular the scene was.

Around the West Fourth Loop Stadium, there were twelve huge screens on the outer wall of the stadium, broadcasting live what was happening through the satellite. At this time, in the two-kilometer circumference of the West Fourth Loop Stadium, it was no exaggeration to say that it had been completely filled. Except for the main road in front of the stadium, which was completely isolated by the security belt and the security guard, there was nowhere else where a car could come in from, and it was estimated that even flies couldn’t fly in!

The rooftops of the skyscrapers around were all filled with spotlights controlled by a central computer that shone around the crowd. At this time, although the skylight was dim, the entire West Fourth Loop still seemed bright due to the strong spotlights lighting up the whole place. If one had to compare, the scene was just like shining a dozen flashlights on a large number of ants on the ground.

In the sky, the sound of the propeller whistling could be heard. The West Fourth Loop Stadium had more than 20 helicopters flying in the sky. Whenever a helicopter passed by, Sheng Wenshi would produce drops of cold sweat.

At this time, Sheng Wenshi was already full of admiration towards Hong Dali—not considering the quality of the show, just the atmosphere and scene alone would be worth the ticket price.

I have really made the right decision to come today. Sheng Wenshi thought. If I did not come, I would regret it forever!

The scene was very cumbersome to describe. In fact, Sheng Wenshi had only stayed in the air for a little more than a minute. After all, there were still many people waiting to enter the scene. It was naturally impossible for a helicopter to stay in the air.

At this time, the West Fourth Loop Stadium had already been crowded with people. Sheng Wenshi took a cursory look. At least 40,000 people were present. On the stadium floor, there were more than 20 huge sponge mats. They were used to cushion the impact of the iron cage landing on the ground. After all, if the cage were directly released to the ground, it was easy to cause a shock to the human leg.

After a lot of hard work, Sheng Wenshi finally sat in his VIP seat.

After he and his colleagues just sat down, they were once again shocked by what they saw.

Beside them, there were up to a hundred celebrities sitting together!

“Let me see, let me see.” Sheng Wenshi began from the beginning. “2013 Best Newcomer Award winner Qiu Ruida, best arranger Zuo Yushu, best lyricist Huang Yuande… What the heck, even the 2013 Golden Horse King He Chenglong has come! Just the opportunity to see so many celebrities up close would have made the ticket worth the price!” Thinking of this, Sheng Wenshi wiped his face. “The abilities of this Young Master is so insane in the entertainment circle. Even if these people were offered money, it would have been hard to invite them, no?”

What Sheng Wenshi said was true. These stars were all big names, the really famous ones. It was no exaggeration to say that in the entertainment circle of the whole Heavenly State, they were all ranked at the top. Except for the various awards ceremonies or real entertainment shows, it was definitely not easy to see them together.

In his impression, the last time these people appeared in front of the TV screen was during the 2012 Best Film and Television Entertainment Awards Ceremony which occurred every three years.

However, the reality was that Hong Dali didn’t spend a penny to invite them. The celebrities themselves even had to pay for the high ticket cost themselves. Even if one were to say this, no one would believe it.

One must know that for a VIP seat, even the cheapest one cost 2000 yuan.

But whether he believed it or not, when the facts were placed in front of him, Sheng Wenshi had no choice but to believe in what he saw.

“Aiyo, isn’t this Old Sheng?!”

While Sheng Wenshi was thinking, a familiar voice came from the side. “Haha, I didn’t expect our seats to be so close!”

After turning around, Sheng Wenshi saw Ding Chengzhi’s familiar face and smiled. “Haha, Old Ding, even you have come. It’s certainly rare to see you out. I didn’t expect the two of us to sit so near. Are you here to join in the fun too?”

After Ding Chengzhi asked for a small favor from the one sitting next to Sheng Wenshi, he changed his seat to Sheng Wenshi’s side. He then mysteriously said, “Speaking of it, it was all due to Young Master that I managed to grab a seat here. I was here since 4:00 PM. If you had been even a bit later, you would have been late.”

“What?!” After hearing what Ding Chengzhi said, Sheng Wenshi was astounded. “You were here since four?! Are you so free? You sat here and waited for four hours?”

Ding Chengzhi glanced at his surroundings before softly saying, “Four hours? I can be considered to have come late. Do you see Jia Chenglong?”

“Yes, I have. What about him?” Sheng Wenshi asked weirdly.

“He was here since half past two.” Ding Chengzhi said. “Our film crew, Lin Haolin, was here since 2:00 PM. He saw He Chenglong waiting from 2:30 PM till now. Impressive, isn’t it?”

“Impressive!” Sheng Wenshi then continued, “The question is, why did he get here so early? Being an actor, he should not be really close to those from the music industry.”

“What do you mean by not close?” Ding Chengzhi helplessly said. “If it were others, he might not really get along with them, but we are talking about the Young Master. Let alone He Chenglong, even if it were ten He Chenglongs, they would have to come over!”

“What the heck?!” Sheng Wenshi asked with his mouth agape. “Why?”

“Do you still remember The Gale Flash filmed by our crew?” Ding Chengzhi asked. “The one which Young Master said should be renamed.”

“Yes, I do. Hasn’t the whole script and plot been changed now?” Sheng Wenshi asked puzzledly. “What’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong?” Ding Chengzhi said. “Did you see the martial arts scene? That was the real thing, real ancient martial arts! Not that I’m bragging to you, but do you know of the old man in the video? I saw him break a block of wood the size of an arm with his bare hands easily!” Speaking up to here, Ding Chengzhi said seriously, “What we saw was real kung fu. He Chenglong can be said to be the best kung fu master in the country. How do you think he responded when he saw the video?”

“What the heck! You saw it with your own eyes?!” Sheng Wenshi was completely stunned this time. “I was wondering why he came over. With the old man’s emergence, his title of ‘Best Kung Fu Master’ would be hard to keep!”

Ding Chengzhi chuckled. “Otherwise, why do you think he is in such a hurry? In my point of view, he must be more anxious than anyone else. After all, the throne of the ‘Best Kung Fu Master’ is likely to be lost. He must now be thinking about how to get along with the Young Master. Otherwise, his future will not be good.”

“The Young Master is really…” Sheng Wenshi shook his head and smiled. “Ai, who could expect such a publicly acknowledged prodigal to have such great abilities?”

“Prodigal?” Ding Chengzhi shook his head. “He’s not just a normal prodigal. He’s a super prodigal! Let me tell you about it. Have you heard of how our movie had to change its script? One part of it was changed absurdly. The Young Master wanted the male lead to unintentionally fall into a cave with a jade statue of a goddess. Guess what he said next?”

“What?” asked Sheng Wenshi.

“The Young Master said that the jade statue used must be real!” Ding Chengzhi sighed. “Seriously! A jade statue with the height of a person! Adding up the cost of the raw materials and carvings, such a statue would cost at least 300,000! Director Lin asked if we could use 3D printing or stones to replace it, but the Young Master disagreed no matter how we persuaded! Ai, I have never seen such a prodigal. Just a prop in a simple movie cost 300,000!”

“What the heck! You must be kidding!” Sheng Wenshi exclaimed. “No one else would even think of doing this, right?”

“I know, right!” Ding Chengzhi continued to sigh. “But the thinking process of Young Master is indeed different from the normal person. After being with Young Master for a while, I understood that it was definitely not by accident for Young Master to film Unexpectedly! . Young Master’s mystical ideas make it hard for me not to admire him. I dare to say that with the change in plot and script of The Gale Flash , the attendance rate for the film will increase by at least 30%!” Ding Chengzhi said while extended three fingers. “There is only one word to describe how the new plot is compared to the old one—impressive!”

Sheng Wenshi helplessly said, “The longer I come into contact with Young Master, the more I find out how mysterious he is. Ai, Old Ding, with Young Master’s way of doing things, he will definitely give us a surprise with this ‘I Am a Singer,’ right?”
