When the voice came out, everyone turned and looked at the direction of the gate.

To enter the place without any notification at this time, there could be no other person except this generation’s business talent, Hong Weiguo.

Seeing Hong Weiguo arrive, many people began to whisper again: “It’s the fifth uncle who came, and he usually pampers Hong Dali. There will be a good show this time around.” “Although he does pamper Hong Dali, when faced with the family rules, even if it is the fifth uncle, he can’t just change it, right?” “It’s hard to say, the fifth uncle is not a normal person, maybe there will be a turning point.”

“Hehe, Weiguo, you have come.” Upon seeing Hong Weiguo, Hong Jianye’s eyes flashed coldly, then he smiled and said, “Speaking of which, Hong Dali’s 18th birthday is coming soon. The family rules can’t be changed. I also had to play a black face for the development of the family. You can’t blame me for that, Weiguo.”

Although he was clearly aware of his fourth brother Hong Jianye’s plan, this was Hong’s Manor, after all. It was not a good place to tear down the pretense and engage in a fight. Hong Weiguo just nodded faintly and said, “I know.” He then turned to look at Hong Tu and said, “Father, Dali’s body was weak in the past. It was rare that he managed to recover. It was because of physical reasons that he had never been exposed to commercial matters before. He had just become good in health. To accept the talent investigation immediately, isn’t this too cruel?”

Hong Tu nodded. “Yes, I have considered this reason before, just…”

Although Hong Tu did not continue, Hong Weiguo naturally understood what he was trying to say.

Sure enough, Hong Jianye said with a smile, “Weiguo, have you forgotten, our third brother is worse than Dali in terms of abilities and intelligence. Because of this, due to the family rules, he could only become a peripheral member and enjoy the rest of his life normally. This fact is well known to all in the Hong family. Although you pamper nephew Dali, you can’t just break the family rules like that, right?”

Hong Weiguo’s cold glare flashed, but it quickly converged back. What Hong Jianye said, he naturally understood. In their generation, his big brother and second brother had second-class talents and could barely earn a small percentage of profits every year. The third brother was the saddest. With the lack of natural IQ, he could only be considered not stupid, and now the family had chosen a place to give him a pension to grow old. The fourth brother Hong Jianye still had some skills; otherwise, he would not have dared to directly barge into the Hong’s Manor. With precedents in place, Hong Weiguo couldn’t object, and thus, coldly said, “Speaking of which, are you so sure that Dali can’t pass the inspection?”

“This is not something whether I’m sure of,” Hong Jianye said with a smile. “I just want to uphold the family rules. I’m not doing this because of my own selfishness.”

“Haha, good!” After listening to Hong Jianye’s words, Hong Weiguo couldn’t help but twitch a few times. His huge palm shook slightly, but suddenly he laughed and said, “Since you have said this, then I will not say any more nonsense!” Hong Weiguo stood on the spot, looked around with disdain, before smiling and said, “Hehe, the big Hong family in my eyes, is not as important as my Dali! If you want to inspect, sure! But I have a word for you, don’t regret it when it’s too late!”

After this sentence was finished, Hong Weiguo turned and left, never looking back!

“Hold it!”

Seeing that Hong Weiguo was leaving, one of the three elders, Hong Ying, who had been silently sitting around, said: “Weiguo, are you really sure about this? Do you want to be the enemy of the whole family?!” With her loud shout, everyone in the entire conference room was shocked. Suddenly, everyone realized the meaning of Hong Weiguo’s words just now.

He was actually saying that if Hong Dali did not pass his inspection, he, Hong Weiguo, the most outstanding genius of the current generation Hong family, would leave the Hong family!

If it were true, then things would become really troublesome.

Hong Weiguo was a genius, a business genius. Even if he were to leave the Hong family, he could enter any family he wanted, and this would cause enormous trouble for the Hong family—trouble that no one could deal with. It could even be said that even if Hong Dali squandered ten times or even a hundred times and lost all the money, the money he wasted was far less than the damage caused by Hong Weiguo’s decision to leave the family!

Even his fourth brother, Hong Jianye, could no longer smile when he heard this.

If Hong Weiguo were sentenced out of the Hong family, not to mention his own companies, even Hong Jianye businesses’ would inevitably be destroyed. There was absolutely no doubt about this. At this time, Hong Jianye discovered that he was still too weak and did not even have the chance to compete with Hong Weiguo.

“I have already said. In my eyes, the mighty Hong family is not even as important as my family’s Dali’s hair!” Hong Weiguo slowly turned and stared at Hong Ying, and said with a deep voice, “In any case, Dali is my son, my only son. Whether he is a dragon or a worm, he is still my son. His body is filled with the blood of me, Hong Weiguo. Hehe, what if I’m the most outstanding talent in this generation’s Hong family. If I can’t even protect my son, even if I have earned 100 billion or trillion, what is the point?!”

After saying that, the whole conference room was filled with pin drop silence.

Everyone felt his determination from Hong Weiguo’s words. Today, there were only two choices. First, the inspection continued, and if Hong Dali did not pass, Hong Weiguo would be sentenced out of Hong family. Second, cancel the inspection and break the family rules.

Certainly, both choices were not good.

At this moment, everyone in the big conference room had set their sights on Hong Jianye, the initiator. Of course, their glares were not so friendly. If Hong Weiguo were to be forced out of the Hong family, the consequences were not something anyone could afford to handle.

Hong Jianye’s face was full of cold sweat. He really didn’t expect Hong Weiguo to reach this step and even dare to say this! Up till here, he could only continue to act tough. Otherwise, he would have no place in the Hong family. Hong Jianye desperately calmed his mind, but his guts were no longer enough. “Weiguo, this is also because of family rules, you cannot blame me.”

“Why would I blame you,” Hong Weiguo laughed and said, “I understand what you’re thinking.”

“Enough!” Seeing the atmosphere getting stiffer, Hong Tu suddenly patted the chair and said with a deep voice, “Weiguo, you’re my son. The most valued and the best son at that. Dali is also a child that I really like since he was young. I shall act on my own this time. The family’s inspection will be delayed!”

When he said this, the whole meeting room was first filled with a short silence, then rebuttals started to be heard all over: “Great elder, how can you ignore the family rules?!” “Yes, yes, once you have set a precedent, how can the later generations handle such cases?” “If we don’t follow the rules, there will be chaos!” “What can you do? Can you really watch Weiguo leave?”

“Everyone, shut up!” The second elder, Hong Wei, who had been smiling all the time, suddenly shouted. “This kind of thing, it’s still not yours to discuss! Let’s listen to what big brother has to say!” He was usually easy going, but currently, he was full of anger. Everyone who knew him knew that he didn’t get angry easily. Once he got angry, it would be like thunder. Everyone shut up instantly.

When the meeting room was completely quiet, Hong Tu slowly said, “Weiguo, Dali’s body has been bad all along. Now that there are signs of improvement, this is a good thing. I will not make it difficult for him, the inspection team will not be sent out for now. But I have a condition.”

“Well, father, what are the conditions.” Hearing that there was a chance for things to be turned around, Hong Weiguo’s heart, which almost jumped out, returned to its original place and hurriedly said, “If you allow it, I’m willing to help him earn his share!”

“Oh, I’m not so heartless.” Hong Tu coughed twice and slowly said, “I heard that the child spent a lot of money during this time and did a lot of things?”

“Yes.” Hong Weiguo nodded. “It seems that because of this, his body is better.”

“En, there is no need for an inspection. He used to dislike business for physical reasons. I do not blame him for that.” Hong Tu paused and said, “Thus, I will not test his business talent. This time, I will make an exception and test him in another way.”

“in another way?” Hong Weiguo asked confused. “How so?”

“According to the rules of our Hong family, the family’s children will receive a total of 10 million for investment after their 18th birthday.” Hong Tu slowly said. “Then, according to the investment, after one year, the total profit is calculated, right?”

“En, that’s true.” Hong Weiguo nodded his head.

“But Dali has not been exposed to business before. Thus, it can’t be done this way. Otherwise, it will be unfair.” Hong Tu said. “After all, he doesn’t know how to do business, isn’t this right?”

“Yes, that’s right.” Hong Weiguo continued to nod his head.

Hong Tu then continued, “Thus, I came up with a new idea. I heard that you recently gave him around 20 million worth of pocket money. He then took the pocket money and made a lot of things. And even went to the entertainment business, right?”

Listening to what Hong Tu said, the young children around him felt all kinds of envy and hatred.

They usually had a hundred thousand or eighty thousand worth of pocket money. Hong Dali, on the other hand, had his pocket money calculated according to tens of millions of yuan.

“Yes.” Hong Weiguo nodded his head.

“Then, the method of Hong Dali’s inspection is to calculate if he made a profit or lost money from the things he bought and invested in during the next family meeting.” Hong Tu smiled. “Gadgets have the benefits of gadgets. At least, Dali doesn’t gamble and take drugs, and it even seems that he has collected a few talents. Thus, we will use 20 million as the bar. As long as at the next family meeting, those gadgets and playthings he had invested in brought back returns, he will have passed the inspection. How about that? During this period, we, the few old guys, will never intervene, and let him freely play. Of course,” Hong Tu raised his gold cane and pointed to Hong Weiguo. “you’re not allowed to intervene.”

Upon hearing this condition, Hong Weiguo finally settled his mind. “Good! I promise! I do at least believe in Dali’s foresight!”

Hong Tu laughed. “Well, you can go then. And remember to bring Dali along to see me during the June 16th family meeting.”

“Alright, father. I understand.” After his father a smile, Hong Weiguo turned and left in big strides.
