“Young Master!” Hearing these two words, the half-conscious Ding Chengzhi came to his senses. He grabbed the phone and aggressively asked, “Where is the Young Master? What did the Young Master film? Quick, tell me. Quick!”

“Don’t get worked up!” Sheng Wenshi held the phone almost one meter away from him. “I can get worked up, but you’re not like this normally!”

Ding Chengzhi was affluent in the entertainment business and was well-known. Also, the entire Penghui Films had to listen to him. No one dared to step on him in the entertainment circle, and people recognized him wherever he went. There were more than ten people who had received pointers from him and became famous because he lent music to their movies.

It was certainly rare for a man of such status to appear so frightened.

The song that brought Tai Yajing—receiver of the Music Angel Award, the most influential music award in Asia—to fame was produced by him.

But for a man of such stature to be pale with shock, no one but Young Master Hong Dali could make it happen.

Ding Chengzhi anxiously said, “How can I not get worked up?! What kind of film is Young Master making? By which company? What is the genre? What stars are there in the film? Quick, tell me. I need to think of something else before it’s too late! Oh yes, is Li Nianwei involved?!”

Sheng Wenshi curiously asked, “Erm… Did you misunderstand something? Li Nianwei? Calm down. Old Ding, do you think that the Young Master is making his own shows to take business away from your company?

Hearing what his friend said, Ding Chengzhi sighed in relief. “That isn’t the case?”

He couldn’t help but worry. In actual fact, Ding Chengzhi always had a nagging feeling that as long as the Young Master was willing to invest money to make a movie, the movie would definitely do well.

It would be hard to estimate how much he could earn, but one thing was certain: if Hong Dali were going to do it, there would be no place for Penghui Films in the industry. After all, Hong Dali’s family had his back. It was a known fact that Hong Dali was the precious, sole son of Sangle’s CEO.

Even if Hong Dali were to spend tens of millions to make a film for fun, Ding Chengzhi would not be surprised.

Known to be a generous squanderer, in addition to having the most popular newcomer Li Nianwei on his side…

Ding Chengzhi could not imagine the impact. In any case, this would not be good news for other movie companies.

Sheng Wenshi laughed and said, “No. See how frightened you are. Young Master is producing a low-cost movie, and I don’t think the cost exceeded 50,000. We have no definite way to find out exactly how much Young Master has invested. As you know, Young Master has always squandered generously and freely.”

Ding Chengzhi wiped the cold sweat off his forehead. “That’s not too bad. Low-cost production. Do you know how scared I was? If Young Master intends to make a proper move, I would definitely join him without a second thought. I’m not disloyal, it’s just that Young Master is too powerful. There would be no other choice.”

Sheng Wenshi laughed. “Needless to say, if Young Master intends to invest in the music industry, Ku Ge will go out of business. Thankfully, he’s still ‘ young and playful. He may have good ideas, but his attention span is short. Otherwise, we would all have to sleep in the streets.”

There was no end to talking rubbish. Thus, Ding Chengzhi hurriedly changed the topic. “Don’t worry about sleeping in the streets yet. Tell me, where is the film being produced? Let me take a look. Quick, let me see it so I can think of how to handle it.”

Sheng Wenshi said, “Okay. Enough chatting. I need to report back as well. On the main page of So Cool, you can see the link there. It’s a short 10-minute film called Unexpectedly! .”

“So Cool…” Ding Chengzhi promptly went to the webpage. “Um, I see it. Such a big recommendation! They must have invested in this…”

As he was speaking, Ding Chengzhi suddenly exclaimed, “Downloaded more than 700,000 times?! One million page views?!” Ding Chengzhi was in disbelief. “Old Cheng, his video was just uploaded, right?”

Sheng Wenshi was even more shocked. “Har? Seven hundred thousand downloads? The last I saw, it was only around 500,000 times!”

Ding Chengzhi slumped onto the bed. “Crazy… Everyone is crazy… I’m going crazy too…”

At the same time, just like them, countless people in the entertainment business were discussing Hong Dali’s film. When Cai Wei Entertainment was just set up, everyone was eagerly waiting to see what kind of blockbuster they would produce. But no one would have thought that their first film would be a low-budget, short film.

Everyone was in a state of shock.

A low-budget film engulfed the entire show business.

Countless people watched it, downloaded it, and discussed it delightedly.

Within a day, most people in the show business who forwarded or commented on Weipo contained the word “Unexpectedly,” and even more people had shared the link with the following comment—”I’m on my knees. I have completely conceded.”

It didn’t matter if they were sincere or pretending, or if they were just joining in on the fun. In any case, Cai Wei Entertainment and Unexpectedly! had become the hottest topic on Weipo.

So Cool Video’s President Wu Youdao 1 was truly rightful. He sat in his office, leisurely humming and sipping his tea, with a cigarette in his other hand.

His secretary walked into his room and saw him. “President Wu, I remember you quit smoking two years ago? Why are you in such a good mood today? This is not like you.”

Wu Youdao was in high spirits. “Haha, Xiao Wang, come here and sit down. Aiya, the weather is so good today. Haha, haha, um, when one is happy, the mood changes as well. Haha!”

Affected by his high spirits, his secretary got happy as well. “President Wu, shall I send you today’s report on website views?”

As Wu Youdao held up his teacup, a calmness expression was on his face. “Um, yes. The views have increased quite a bit.”

His secretary reported, “Yes. The views have increased by three-fold, and it’s still shooting up.”
