Rebirth of the Godly Prodigal

It was no wonder that Tang Muxin and Mu Zixiao were curious. The old man dared to even drift and speed while riding a battery car, his face full of oil and a few wrinkles—except for his hair, beard, and eyebrows being white, his body thin and short, he did not look like a frail old man at all. No one would doubt that he could live for another twenty or thirty years if they saw him.

“I’m okay.” The old man hurriedly said. “This young master, this old man here knows that I can’t afford your car, and I still have to rush to work. About this, what can I do…” Up to here, he was also a little scared. The rearview mirror cost tens of thousands. If he were to be really made to pay for it, he couldn’t afford it. He could only hope that this rich family’s young master did not care about such small things. But the possibility was not very big, or it could be said to be minuscule…

“Don’t be in a hurry to leave.” Expectedly, Hong Dali did not allow him to leave. “We can ignore the last time you knocked into us. However, this time, you ought to do something about it. I don’t need your money, I just want you to answer some questions.”

Don’t need your money!

Hearing this phrase, the old man’s eyes instantly lit up. “Sure, sure, sure. Do ask!”

Tang Muxin was the first to ask, “Old man, how did you maintain your looks so well? How can you look so young when you are already over 70?”

It was no wonder that people said that males and females had different ways of thought. Hong Dali and Mu Zixiao were thinking that this old man was definitely not ordinary, and his identity was quite mysterious. On the other hand, the first thing Tang Muxin wanted to know was how the old man maintained his looks…

“The secret to a healthy life lies in exercising.” Hearing this question, the old man said with a smile. “When I have nothing to do, I will go to the park to exercise and practice some boxing. I usually eat on time every day and have one or two small cups of alcohol every day. With a happy mindset, I will remain young.”

“If it’s like that, I will start exercising every day from now on.” Tang Muxin’s eyes were filled with stars. “By doing so, I can remain young forever.”

Originally, Tang Muxin rarely ran in the morning, but with the old man being a living example in front of her eyes, she couldn’t help but be tempted. After all, beauty was something every woman desired. Who didn’t want to look young?

Instead of admiring the old man’s looks like Tang Muxin, Hong Dali was curious about the old man’s job. He thus asked, “Old man, what do you do for a living? Also, what’s your name?”

“I’m surnamed Wang,” replied the old man. “Young Master, you can call me Geezer Wang. As to what I do for a living…” He dryly laughed. “It’s just a small job. Not so far in front, there is a salon. I help the old people there wash, cut, and blow their hair.”

“Wash, Cut, Blow” Geezer Wang. Hong Dali smiled and asked, “What form of boxing do you practice? Is it powerful?”

“It’s for leisure,” “Wash, Cut, Blow” Geezer Wang continued, “I don’t know much, just Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Tongbeiquan, Shaolinquan, Wudangquan, Xingyiquan, Heyangquan, Drunken boxing, Big Scorpion boxing, Small Scorpion, etc… I roughly know how to do all of them.”

After hearing this, Mu Zixiao’s eyeballs nearly popped out. Hong Dali’s luck was definitely going against the heavens!

An old man who knocked his rearview mirror twice turned out to be a martial arts master!

Out of all the martial arts that the old man said, he himself had barely practiced Xingyiquan and Bajiquan. He had not even heard of the others!

“Geezer Wang, are you speaking the truth?” Mu Zixiao wanted to confirm it, or he might not be able to sleep well tonight. “Why not let us compare moves?”

Hearing him say that, Hong Dali and Tang Muxin’s eyes both lit up. Hong Dali: “Wow, Old Mu, you actually know martial arts too?”

Mu Zixiao depressingly said, “Don’t call me Old Mu. I feel that you’re calling me Old Mother [1. Mu in Chinese has the same pronunciation as mother]. Call me Old Xiao…”

“Alright, Old Xiao.” Hong Dali nodded his head.

At this moment, Geezer Wang started to panic. “Aiyo, this young master here. This old man really has an urgent matter. If I were to be late and delay the others, I will get my wages deducted. On top of that, I don’t dare to act against you…”

Hong Dali snapped his fingers and said, “Geezer Wang, why not follow me in the future. A salary of 5000 a month, including food and lodging. How about it?”

Tang Muxin who was at the side, asked hurriedly, “Dali, why are you hiring him before you confirming his abilities? What if he’s bluffing?”

“No worries.” Hong Dali smiled and said, “If he’s lying, Old Xiao will definitely beat him till his teeth drop to the floor.”

Mu Zixiao nodded his head. “Geezer Wang, how about it? Young Master Dali has already said—one month, 5000. This salary is not considered small, right?” He really wanted to confirm whether the old man was a martial arts master.

“Really, 5000 a month? Including lodging and food?” Hearing this, Geezer Wang’s eyes lit up. “I did not study much, you are not lying to me, right?”

“As long as what you said is true, I will definitely give you 5000 a month!” Hong Dali confirmed. “How about it? Do you dare? If you do, get on the car!”

“I’m doing it!” Geezer Wang took the battery car away. “If I were to earn 5000 a month, I don’t need this crappy battery car anymore. The brakes are not even good…” As he talked and was about to get on the car, he thought about it again and was slightly embarrassed. “About that, young master, I’m afraid that my clothes will dirty your car…”

“There is no need for such nonsense.” Hong Dali opened the car door. “Get on!”

“Alright!” Hearing that he could make a monthly salary of 5,000 with this young master, Geezer Wang became bold. “Then I shall not stand on ceremony.” He got on the car and couldn’t stop sighing. “Aiya, this car is really good. This old man here has lived for a lifetime, but the most expensive car I have ever sat on was a Putian that cost more than 100,000. However, after comparing it to the Young Master’s car here, ze ze ze!”

“What about the comparison?” Hong Dali smiled and asked. “Is the difference that big?”

“Big! Of course, it’s big!” Geezer Wang continued, “Look at your car. It’s so spacious, and it even allows me to stretch my legs! It also comes with a mini fridge. Also, look at this leather seat, aiya, it’s such a good car! Good car! After going back, I can show off to the other old men!”

There was a saying that everyone liked hearing praises. Tang Muxin smiled and said, “Geezer Wang, your skill must definitely be good, right?”

“Of course!” Geezer Wang continued, “My ‘Wash, Cut, Blow’ skills are definitely the best! In just five minutes, I can fix the entire haircut…”

“Geezer Wang!” Mu Zixiao, who stood at the side, couldn’t help but say, “She’s asking about your martial arts skills, not your ‘Wash, Cut, Blow’ skills!”

“About that,” Geezer Wang said. “I have practiced it for my whole life. It should be good enough. In my early days, others even called me Soaring Eagle Wang Daoming—En, that’s about 40 or 50 years ago. Even if I were to say it, you wouldn’t understand.”

Hong Dali did not know if Soaring Eagle really existed, but he at least found out that the old man was called Wang Daoming…
