Chapter 1645: Sacrificing One’s Own Time

Old Ru raised his right hand and stopped the incoming attack from an ancient demon fox.

However, the ancient demon elephant was rushing from the other side.

Old Ru clicked his tongue. He activated his time ability, stopping the time of the elephant.

Unfortunately, it was not enough to stop the demon elephant.

The demon elephant broke free from the control while letting out all its energy. It was planning to demolish everything that Old Ru had up his sleeve.

Old Ru glanced in other directions. He could see Leysha was doing her best to restrain the ancient demon ape. On the other hand, the Magic Lord and the Water Lord were struggling to fight the ancient demon flower and the ancient demon goat.

The Water Lord and the Magic Lord were just spirit grandmasters with the transcendent path, so they were not ready to fight an ancient demon.

Meanwhile, Leysha was able to gain some advantage, but due to the number of demons around, she had a hard time killing the demon.

To ensure the balance, he had to fight these two demons by himself.

However, this was also his original intention. If he came here just to fail to kill any demons, he would have been disappointed in himself.

Old Ru had lost two of his timelines. If he unleashed everything he had in this timeline, he would definitely die afterwards.

Still, Old Ru had seen a lot of things that were supposed to happen in the future.

That was why he could smile.

”In that case, letʼs make this one worth it,” Old Ru muttered. ”Time Transcend, Life and Death Paradox.”

Suddenly, Old Ruʼs energy erupted.

”!!!” All who understood the power that Old Ru possessed would be surprised. Old Ru was not supposed to be able to wield this level of power.

Old Ru was using his lifespan to actually forge a king path. It would be a temporary one, but he gained the power that could change the outcome of this battle.

Old Ru didnʼt have the thought of hitting the two demon kings. It was true that with the king path, he could somehow fight the two demon kings.

But that wouldnʼt make much of a difference. The demon kings would defeat him, while his decision would definitely let the two ancient demons run rampant on the battlefield.

In addition, he had lost two timelines, meaning the power of this king path was extremely limited.

Even he wouldnʼt be so sure whether he could defeat the two ancient demons with this power or not.

Seeing the demon elephant was about to arrive, Old Ru activated his ability. ”Time Trace.”

The demon elephant felt like it was running backward, as if time itself was going backward.

”!!!” The elephant didnʼt know what was going on. But that confusion had given Old Ru the time he needed to focus on the ancient demon fox.

Old Ru turned to the right.

”…” The fox panicked, realizing that his body had been targeted by Old Ru.

Unfortunately for the demon fox, it couldnʼt get away, as Old Ru was faster in activating his power.

”Time Destruction.”

The fox felt its existence was being erased from this timeline. It released all its energy to resist this energy and escape from whatever Old Ru had placed on its body.

However, resisting a king path was easier said than done. The fox barely escaped as its front leg and a portion of its body abruptly splattered. The blood that spurted somehow disappeared instead of splashing the ground.

The demon fox let out a wail before releasing a powerful energy from its mouth.

Old Ru stopped the time of the air in front of him, creating some sort of barrier.

The ancient demon elephant had managed to free itself from Old Ruʼs ability and headed straight for Old Ru.

The fox felt a bit relieved, hoping that the elephant could do something.

”Time Trace.” Old Ru used the same technique that made the elephant go backward, but this time on himself.

Yes, Old Ru was the one going backward. He traced his movement back, which allowed him to avoid the elephantʼs charge.

”!!!” The demon elephant was trying to stop, but it still crashed into the fox.

”Time Destruction.” Old Ru planned to erase both of them at the same time.

However, he suddenly spat blood as his body started to fall apart.

”Kh.” Old Ru gritted his teeth. His body couldnʼt bear the king path anymore. He also lacked the spiritual energy to help resist that power.

He had to finish this battle quickly. ”Time Destruction!”

Thanks to the slight disruption, the fox and the elephant managed to avoid the worst.

The Time Destruction hit the foxʼs face, disfiguring it. Its left eye and ear were gone, but it was able to keep its life.

On the other hand, the elephant got its body blasted by that power. It caused a deep wound, but Old Ru was also not in a condition to fight much longer.

So, the demon fox released another wave of power, while the elephant used its trunk to discharge its power.

”Time Lock!” Old Ru locked the time in a certain area, which became a seal for those two attacks. ”Kh…”

Still, his body became even more deteriorated.

”One more time.” Old Ru gritted his teeth, enduring everything to unleash just one more attack. He needed at least to kill the ancient demon fox while severely injuring the elephant.

”Time Dissection.”

”!!!” The fox was blasting all the energy it could release at the incoming attack, but the attack was too powerful. As a result, the fox had its own body sliced multiple times.

Boom!

The attack exploded, sending a time wave with a similar property to the elephant.

The latter was rushing toward Old Ru after seeing Old Ru struggling to keep flying. His energy started to flicker.

But this action also allowed the residual power from Old Ru to hit its body.

Old Ru couldnʼt help but smile. ʼEven if I die now, the lady should be able to end everything.”

Old Ru had accepted his fate. As he began to close his eyes, one more unexpected presence appeared.

This silhouette suddenly cut down the severely injured elephant in one go. There was no physical wound, but the elephant simply stopped and fell to the ground, dying.

”!!!” Old Ru widened his eyes. ”Andreas…”

”Grandfather!!!”
