Chapter 1625: Momentum

”Divine Slash!”

Even though he hadn’t learned it properly, he had seen it so many times.

The Divine Slash might not be as powerful as the original, but it was still more powerful than his own technique.

After all, this slash came directly from Ardagan, which might also be the inheritance from either Alexander Ardagan or the Spirit God himself.

That was why the power couldn’t be compared to any other techniques of the same level.

The Divine Slash clashed with the tentacle for a few seconds. Both of them were unleashing everything they could because this clash would determine the outcome of the battle.

And finally, after a few seconds of struggle, the tentacle started to rip open.

”!!!” The squid panicked, but it had no way to stop it anymore as the Divine Slash cut through the tentacle and hit the squid’s head, cutting it in half.

The squid’s brain popped out as the body fell back into the water and then floated, showing no more movement.

”Ha... Ha...” Dimitri panted a few times. He finally killed this squid. No, he killed it much more quickly than anyone else.

Although he wouldn’t be able to stop participating in the war after this, his deeds would be the start of their counterattack.

Dimitri couldn’t help but hear cheers coming from another spot. His eyes hurriedly traced back the origin of that sound and found a ship nearby.

He used his power to reach this ship, realizing that the Zaecuria Kingdom’s guardian was fighting another ancient demon.

Without hesitation, Dimitri announced out loud, ”I am Dimitri, the butler of the Ardagan family. One Ancient Demon has died in my hand. It’s time for us to counterattack. Please spread the word that we humans are going to victory!”

Without wasting any more time, Dimitri used the remaining power to help this guardian, hopefully achieving this victory. By creating this wave, he hoped that he could make a big impact on the war.

Obviously, the one leading that ship was none other than one of the two admirals in the kingdom.

He obviously knew how to command the troops and had knowledge about morale.

Dimitri wanted to use that victory to enhance everyone’s morale.

Although he had to use several ships to send that information, he could see Dimitri helping their guardian.

If this continued, that ancient demon might also die, and the guardian could annihilate the rest of the enemy.

In that case, there was no reason for them not to send messages to increase the overall morale.

The admiral immediately shouted, ”Ship 6, Ship 8, and Ship 9. Break free from the formation and immediately spread the word that one of the ancient demons has died and another one will die soon. It’s time for us humans to counterattack.

”We will end this war with our victory! Send the news directly back to His Majesty. Dimitri of the Ardagan family has taken down one of the ancient demons and is helping our guardian to take down another. Use that information as he sees fit.”

With the admiral’s quick judgment, the news immediately spread to all fronts.

When the king heard this information, he couldn’t help but stand up in disbelief.

”So soon?” The king gasped.

”Yes, sir. It’s most likely the True Spirit Body as well as a gamble.”

”It doesn’t matter whether it’s a gamble or not.” The king never thought Dimitri would cause this wave, but it was still good for their kingdom. ”Spread the word to all our armies as well as the Atracaeca Kingdom. It’s time for us to attack them.”

”Yes, sir!”

With the king’s confirmation, the news spread even faster.

However, the one who was shocked the most was actually the reinforcement from the Greenwood Kingdom.

”What? They managed to kill one, and another one is about to go down as well?”

The commander who was supposed to bring reinforcements and supplies had to pass the Zaecuria Kingdom first before reaching the Atracaeca Kingdom.

So, that news couldn’t help but reach his ears, as a passing ship informed them about it.

The commander’s expression turned serious. The commander raised his hand. ”Let’s hurry to the Atracaeca Kingdom. With our reinforcements and supplies, we will end the battle in the Atracaeca Kingdom.”

”Oohh!”

The soldiers cheered. They finally entered the battle, and the situation was already in their favor.

They would surely be the victors.

Still, the one who was happiest from this news was none other than the Atracaeca Kingdom. The situation was already dire in their situation.

Thanks to the initiative of the Demon Banner Army, they could barely hold on.

But with the death of one ancient demon, it would send an entire shockwave to all kingdoms. They could ride this momentum.

”Hulbert!” Prince Ramuer clenched his hands into fists.

”Yes.” Hulbert nodded. ”We have to tell this good news to our soldiers. If we can hold on, more reinforcements will be coming. Just like how we managed to survive for one thousand years, we will survive this war as well.”

Prince Ramuer nodded with a serious expression. ”Yes. If necessary, I am willing to wield my weapon as well and go to the battlefield so as to inspire our people.”

”Hoho. If that’s the situation, I will be the first one to go, Your Majesty.” Hulbert chuckled. ”However, this is the critical moment. Miss Milfa has been spotted with an ancient demon, so we still have to be careful.”

”Yes.”

Hulbert didn’t say it, but there was one place that was more dire than anywhere else. And that place was where Laufey fought.

Laufey was still fighting against two ancient demons with the rest of the demons trying to swarm him.

The airships hadn’t arrived yet, but he could see that the demons were being directed in their directions, so the demons might be doing their best to stop the airships from helping him.

Laufey took a deep breath.

”Well, it sucks, but I might not get any help in this fight. But...” Laufey glared at the enemy. ”I have a reason not to lose to them.”

And for that reason, he planned to bet everything he had.

”True Spirit Body.”
