System vs Rebirth

Chapter 1602: Began

”A counterattack?” Rose tilted her head.

”Yes, send the remaining airships to the Stargaze family.”

”!!!” Rose didn’t expect this sudden movement. She had heard that the demon army coming from the northwest had broken into a few groups so that they could attack the entire northern territory in one go.

The Ardagan family was able to contain it due to Noel’s genius placement, but the others were not so lucky.

They would struggle a lot against that many demons.

So, it was good to send a reinforcement.

”Do you want to sweep them?”

”Yes.” Noel nodded with a serious expression. Kill as many demons as you can. Phantom, I want to go along with them but stay hidden. I’m going to start drawing out their hidden ancient demons.”

”Do you need me to fight them as soon as they appear-nya?”

”Not yet. Tell Rui to get there and handle it. Depending on the number, I’ll make some adjustments later. However, the airships also have the capability of defeating an ancient demon, so just stay hidden and watch everything for the time being.”

”Understood-nya!” The Phantom was quite surprised by Noel’s confidence. She had never seen the capabilities of the airship, so she didn’t know its true capability.

Still, Noel wasn’t someone who made empty claims. It looked like she had underestimated the advancement of technology.

If an airship could truly kill an ancient demon, the warfare would change in the future.

Nevertheless, they were allies, so it was better to eliminate the demons first.

Noel continued, ”Bring our 8th and 9th armies. However, the commander will be Lucas.”

Lucas was their outer border who clashed directly with the demons, so it was understandable if he wanted him to eliminate those demons.

”How about Marshal Conrad?”

Noel looked down. There were still three factions that had yet to make a move. The first one was Conrad and the royal army. The second one was the Moon Temple, but since Layla was more adept at defense, the Moon Temple wouldn’t be dispatched. Last but not least, his parents.

His parents’ preparations should be quite massive. They had been preparing to take down the Supreme Devil Organization all this time.

Although they didn’t manage to do it as Noel had done it himself, they should still hold that power.

Besides, Leysha was also a spirit transcendence. With the mercenary group, they could make a huge impact on the battlefield.

However, unlike the other two, Noel didn’t know what his father was thinking. Although he could request his help, he wouldn’t order him.

After all, his father’s insight might be as deep as his, but his father pursued a different method.

Noel paused for a moment before waving his hand. ”For the time being, we should conserve our cards for as long as possible. If we end up revealing our cards first, we will be at a disadvantage later.”

”Understood. I’ll give stern instructions to Lucas then.”

Noel nodded. As Rose left, Noel’s expression turned solemn.

He still had a hard time believing that the demon kings would throw away so many demons. He was sure that the ancient demons would appear as long as they crippled the first wave.

’Are they trying to draw me out first? But Anna’s instincts should be quite solid. Are they targeting Anna?

’Still, if Anna has to fight two, her speed should be higher than theirs. If she wants to escape, they will have a hard time stopping her.

’With my new power, I think I can handle one demon king just fine, so my chance of killing that demon king is much higher than them killing Anna.

’So, what is actually their plan?’ Noel couldn’t read the demon kings this time. Old Ru’s prophecy was good, but it wasn’t enough.

’Should I test the water? Should I lure them out? From all the reports, there are already 4 million demons scattered throughout all four kingdoms. So, how many more will be coming?’

Noel looked at the map, wondering if he had a missing link.

The Greenwood Kingdom had been reinforced. Besides, they should have no problem with withstanding the demons, as most demons from the sea were absorbed into the Zaecuria Kingdom and most demons from land were absorbed by the Muivell Kingdom.

Hence, they needed the least protection.

As for the Zaecuria Kingdom, Dimitri and Diva should be enough as reinforcements. Dimitri was versatile, and Diva should be unmatched underwater.

As long as they worked together with the three guardians over there, they could repel the demons.

On the other hand, the Atracaeca Kingdom had Oscar, Milfa, Laufey, and Anna along with airships.

With Anna there, their combat power was much higher than that of the Zaecuria Kingdom.

So, it was quite hard to find a weak link, but the demons wouldn’t really attack without any confidence.

That was why he wanted to figure out how they planned to attack.

”Hmm...” Noel scanned the map again and again. He had a hard time finding a hole to exploit. ”Am I missing something?”

...

On the other side of the battlefield, the Sky Demon King and the Land Demon King nodded to each other.

”This is a one-way trip. If we fail, we might lose everything. That’s why failure is not an option.” The Land Demon King turned solemn.

”I know. That’s why we have prepared all this.”

”I am the one who mostly prepares it.” The Land Demon King snorted.

”Yes. And you were also the one making Noel Ardagan stronger and stronger.”

The two demon kings glared at each other.

The Land Demon King scoffed. ”Anyway, I don’t plan to argue with you today. Our objective is the same. Even if I hate you the most in the world, I will still work with you to kill Noel Ardagan.”

The Sky Demon King nodded in agreement. ”In that case, let’s not waste any more time. It’s time to pierce their hearts.”

The Land Demon King raised his hand as a single flower stood on his palm. ”Yes. Let’s do this.”
