Chapter 1605: Suspicion

*Roar!*

*Roar!*

*Roar!*

”Seriously?” Laufey couldn’t help but furrow his eyebrows. ”This might be much worse than I originally thought.

”What’s wrong?” Anna asked.

Laufey explained, ”According to our scouts, there are approximately 1 million demons coming to the beast kingdom, 2 million to the Muivell Kingdom, 2 million to the Greenwood Kingdom and the Zaecuria Kingdom combined, and 3 million to the Atracaeca Kingdom.

”It’s clear that they are trying to break the Atracaeca Kingdom, the weakest of the five.

”In addition, without their leader, it is going to be hard for them to defend. And the second purpose must be to force us to send our people here, weakening the Muivell Kingdom, specifically the Ardagan family, further.”

Anna nodded. It matched the report she had gotten. ”So, what about the next wave? Those are the demons, right?”

Anna was pointing at the incoming demons from afar. It was still too far for them to engage in combat, but it was already visible to Anna and Laufey.

Laufey nodded. ”Judging from how the supreme devil has acted, my assessment should be quite accurate. However, I’m not entirely sure about the demon kings.”

”Just tell me about it.”

”From my speculation, the number of demons this time will be similar or even higher.

”I’m thinking that they will send another 2 million demons to the beast kingdom to lock them up in their region. They must know it’s impossible for them to pull tricks on Noel.”

”Fair enough. Judging from the number of spirit transcendences left behind, it won’t be weird for them to be locked like that.” Anna nodded in agreement.

”As for the Greenwood Kingdom, it is in a very strategic place. The sea is absorbed by the Zaecuria Kingdom, while we are absorbing the land attack.

”Hence, the Greenwood Kingdom won’t face much damage this time, and they won’t make any big movements.

”Noel should have predicted it beforehand.”

”True.” Anna nodded. ”That’s why he doesn’t send any reinforcements to the Greenwood Kingdom.”

”But Noel might not be the only one who plans this. Luke should be as well.”

”Father-in-law?”

”Yes. Don’t you know where he built up his force secretly?”

”The Greenwood Kingdom!”

”Yes. I might not be as good as him when it comes to strategy, but I have been by his side for a long time, so I know his tricks. Since the Greenwood Kingdom won’t face too much attack, he places the reinforcement there. This way, the demons who don’t expect it will be surprised by the reinforcements.

”In fact, I think that the conflict between Sir Raincart and the Greenwood Kingdom’s royal family was also his doing. By making it the main topic, he could hide the matter about his own piece.”

Laufey explained carefully. While it looked like Anna wasn’t adept at strategy, it didn’t mean she was completely clueless.

”Now that I think about it...” Anna gasped. ”The position of Noel’s killing zone is in there.”

”Yes. I suspect that Noel knows about this as well. He’s good at reading people, so I’m not really surprised. In other words, Noel might be planning to sweep everything with force in a counterclockwise direction.”

”In other words, the Atracaeca Kingdom, the weakest link, will be the next one to get the reinforcement.” Anna nodded in agreement. ”Still, we know about this, but how about the ancient demons? In the end, those are the ones that matter, no?”

”I’m afraid so.”

”My senses have been tingling for some time. You may not know it, but I have a good perception of danger. That’s how I have been able to guess the gist of the enemy’s plan, and Noel has been incorporating it in his plan.” Anna paused for a moment. ”I suspect the enemy to have at least 30 ancient demons. Or it won’t be this dangerous for humans.”

”If that’s what you think, then it must be that way.” Laufey nodded with a serious expression. ”Currently, there are three spirit transcendences and one spirit king in the Atracaeca Kingdom.

”The Zaecuria Kingdom, they have 5 spirit transcendences if you count Dimitri and this mysterious person from the beast kingdom. Greenwood Kingdom has 3, but they won’t be a problem.

”That leaves one spirit king and 6 spirit transcendence rank experts in the Muivell Kingdom, along with Leysha still hiding. It’s only appropriate to distribute it this way. If one side is too overwhelming, their side will also face the same thing.”

Anna looked down, contemplating. ’From what we have heard, Old Ru is planning to go here. Andreas and Venom Overlord are also coming. If they have 30 or something ancient demons. How are they going to spread them?’

The situation became extremely complicated, especially for the Atracaeca Kingdom.

”Is this the reason Noel wants me to bring our main airship? He knows that even with all this reinforcement, the Atracaeca Kingdom will still be hit hard, but because he can’t spare more spirit transcendences to make sure he could withstand the main attack from the demons, he sends me the battleships.”

”I’m afraid so.” Laufey nodded with a serious expression.

Anna squinted her eyes. It was really more chaotic than she had originally thought. Noel had begun winding up his battle.

”He has taught me a lot of tactics, but I guess I still can’t match him.” Anna scratched the back of her head.

”Rather than that, we have a much more important thing.” Laufey shook her head.

”That’s right. Thank you for telling me all this, Uncle.” Anna smiled.

Laufey was having a hard time keeping his poker face. He never thought there would come a day when Anna would call him an uncle.

Still, as her elder, he had to maintain his calm and composed look so that Anna would continue to grow further. ”Since you have thought about everything, as the supreme commander of this army, what would you like to do?”

There was no need to hesitate. ”Uncle. I need you to go to Oscar and propose a joint operation right away. Oscar is better than me in a defensive battle, so it will be better if we link up with him.

”I’m going to give him the command. All I request is that he make sure no one can intervene in my fight. No matter what, I have to stop either the supreme devil or the demon kings by myself here. I need him to handle the rest.”

”Understood.” Laufey politely lowered his head, but the corners of his lips curved slightly.
