Chapter 1641: Releasing All Cards

”Everchanging Sword Style. Violent Anger.” Anna waved her blade while thinking about Noel.

The one who knew him the most, whether it was about swordsmanship or him personally, was Anna.

When he helped her with her training to become a spirit king, she had seen plenty of his Everchanging Sword Style.

That was why the depth of her Everchanging Sword Style could be said to be higher than 50%. It was more than just an imitation, unlike Dimitriʼs Divine Slash, which only captured 20% of its ability.

The slash was extremely slash, as if the spiritual energy itself was bending in a way that it could unleash her anger.

In addition, Anna had the help of the violent and gentle methods to amplify that sword strike.

So, she believed the power was at least 80% of her original power.

Clang!

”Kh.” Anna ground her teeth as she lost the clash. She took a step back to regain her stable form but received a sneer from the Supreme Devil.

”Heh. Do you think you can defeat me with something youʼre doing for the first time? This is why you lose!” The Supreme Devil shouted. He took advantage of the slight gap in her defense to slash her.

Unfortunately for him, Anna had prepared something for him.

When he was about to cut her, lightning sparked.

”!!!” The lightning took the Supreme Devil by surprise.

The spark was unlike any other spark that Anna had released. This spark expanded into a field.

The Supreme Devil instinctively threw himself to the side, canceling his own slash.

The demons that were trying to reach Anna were swallowed by the lightning field. Their bodies were electrocuted and burned. It was as if their blood had evaporated.

Anna hadnʼt stopped there. She placed her right foot in front and raised her left hand before swinging it down.

A lightning bolt struck down.

”Kh!” The Supreme Devil was the one being pressured this time. He never thought Anna would be able to release this kind of lightning, even though she had just infused her power into her sword.

The bolt of lightning forced the Supreme Devil to block it with his sword. In the meantime, Anna leaped toward him, closing the distance between them.

The Supreme Devil was still occupied with the lightning, so he couldnʼt react properly.

In the end, he had to retreat one more time just to buy enough time to avoid her strike. Unfortunately for him, the original Anna controlled the lightning so that it would chase after him.

”Haaa!” The Supreme Devil got a proper distance to create a hit powerful enough that it would disperse the lightning bolt.

But Anna swung her sword right after.

It might not be as strong as her full power, but it was enough to knock the sword back, opening a big gap in the Supreme Devilʼs movement.

By changing her power again and again, she could overwhelm the Supreme Devil. After all, Noel might have twice the spiritual energy she possessed due to him possessing two spirits, but Anna could utilize twice the power due to having two souls.

It might also drain her energy, but it would be worth it as long as she could push the Supreme Devil hard enough.

The Supreme Devil retreated again, but this time, he wouldnʼt be so lucky because the lightning bolt turned into a dragon and emerged from Annaʼs finger. This lightning dragon swallowed all demons on its path and ultimately reached the Supreme Devil.

The Supreme Devil cut it down with his sword, but Anna emerged from within the dragon with her sword fully charged.

”Everchanging Sword Style, Violent Anger.”

”Khhh!” The Supreme Devil gnashed his teeth. He never thought he would be the first one forced to reveal his trump card.

The berserk state of a demon was indeed a powerful trump card. It could amplify the demonʼs power by 50% at the very least. With the Thunder God Possession and Lightning Transformation, even if Anna used the True Spirit Body, it would at most reach 40%.

So, the berserk state was superior to the True Spirit Body in a way. But that kind of power didnʼt come without any price.

His rationality would be consumed by the demons, which might cause the demons to take over his body.

The demon kings might want him to use Berserk so that he would become a full-fledged demon, which was why the Supreme Devil wanted to avoid it if possible.

Still, Anna left him no choice. If he didnʼt use it, he would lose without even doing his best. At this rate, he would be defeated even though he had become a demon king.

”Aaahhh!” The Supreme Devilʼs eyes turned bloodshot as if he had begun to lose his rationality.

In exchange, the Supreme Devil gained enough power that even in a disadvantageous situation, he could blow Anna away with a single swing.

”…” Annaʼs feet slid on the ground, stopping herself.

It looked as if she had succeeded.

”Iʼm going to kill you. Iʼm going to make sure that you die in the most painful way, and I will definitely savor the sight of your partner falling into despair after seeing your pitiful state!” The Supreme Devil roared.

His killing intent soared along with his demonic energy.

The original Anna couldnʼt help but say, ”This power… I think itʼs bigger than our expectations…”

”It still wonʼt change what we will do in this battle.” Anna took a deep breath. ”We will proceed in the same way, but in a much more violent way. Can you keep up with me?”

”I should be the one asking that question. Your sword is weaker than my lightning.” The original Anna harrumphed.

Anna smiled. She was glad she could fix their relationship. This time, the original Anna was truly her strongest ally.

A pair of horns started to grow on top of her head as the lightning burst out of her body. Her hair changed its color one more time.

”True Spirit Body!”
