ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Hmm, I knew it, but it would seem that I can’t really contribute to the thermal power at all.」

Yashiro Bird let out a sigh as he put a red-barreled rifle into the containment space and took out another rifle instead.

In the first place, at the time when the dragon’s whole body was a metal that vibrated at super speed, he had a slight intuition that it was fatally incompatible with firearms. If it is was the real life, the ammunition would be able to blow the human head with one shot, but here, depending on the Vitality of the opponent, there are even humans who can withstand such a thing.

Well, it is not true that the weapon type of gun is completely worthless. If so, the bow and arrow would be treated more miserably. Guns have their own unique strength to them…… And it was the high time to show that strength to other people.

「Goodness gracious…… But still, what an interesting move that is!」

Yashiro Bird, who witnessed the sight of the Tomahawk’s arm-blade protruding from the ground through the scope, took his eyes off the scope and screamed at the perpetrator Sanraku, who was currently flying straight into the sky. But still, he had to keep Tomahawk in sight at all times.

He dared to continue heating up their opponent and cut its arm off at just the right the moment when its hardness was slightly impaired. If that would be all, it would not be something really difficult and any swordfighter Player who knows how to do it would be able to do it. However, there is a Player who can add the condition of “accelerating from the ground towards the sky” while doing that…… And no matter how hard Yashiro Bird was trying to imagine it, he just couldn’t see himself doing something like that.

「If this is the case, and you really do think that the guns are useless……」

That should never be the case. But as a matter of fact, it was just that Yashiro Bird could see that the sword performance right in front of him was simply amazing. Or it could have been said that it was blinding…… But still, it was not nearly enough to convince Yashiro Bird.

If so, you must show power in order to change the opinion of others. The brilliance of a weapon called a gun against the True Dragon “Tomahawk”, that the most of the firearms brought in by Yashiro Bird dis not work at all.

「Fufufufufu…… Is it the first actual battle operation except for trial shooting? Well, but if I want to test it out against a live opponent, then there won’t be any better ones, right?」

Chestoria is a downgraded version of INVENTORY, and although it removes the ability to transfer users into a storage space, it’s not inferior to INVENTORY in terms of unlimited item bag.

Yashiro Bird then manipulated his Chestoria and summoned three objects into the real space.

「Special SP Duty Execution Machine Device Type: Kaulkenin…… The inscription is “One shot is enough for everything”. And this is my trump card…… the legacy of the Gods, the great magic bullets left by the respectable ancestors that I discovered while playing the game casually!!!」

The first item is a musket that goes against the times, contrary to its SF-like appearance. Contrary to the old-fashionedness of a gun, it was created from research and the process of trial-and-error design that felt maddening at times, and it has a structure specialized for operating a certain type of bullets.

The second one was a grenade launcher also designed by Yashiro Bird himself for a certain operation. This itself is used as a preliminary step to fully utilize the trump card.

Finally, the third item……… was a magazine that you load into firearms. However, its existence alone was a bit unusual in the game of Shangri-La Frontier.

This is because the firearms in Shangri-La Frontier basically do not have a magazine as a separate item. From pistols to rocket launchers, bullets are produced by the gun itself, whether live or non-live. That’s because there is a magical power…… or mana particles that power them up, which is a convenient setting to have at all times. And even if the magazine expands outside of the gun itself as a gimmick, it will not be removed from the gun no matter what.

With the exception of some guns, which are equipped with an extended energy battery externally, the one taken out by Yashiro Bird is a genuine magazine. In other words, it’s an item that produces bullets that are independent of any firearm…… and this is the biggest trump card that Yashiro Bird has at the current moment.

A palm-sized, rugged metal block. Its surface was engraved with the words “Lewis & Gilbert” and then a string of other letters.

「SAMIEL Bullet-Type IV: Megrez.」

「It’s coming, for crying out loud……」

Survival let out a sigh as he stared at the sight before his eyes, where the scales of the Blade Dragon had been damaged from the repeated heating and cooling them down.

At the same time, even though his own weapons were not broken, but they surely were no longer in the usable state, either…… but the cause of Survival’s melancholy was the terrifying self-proclaimed Oak, King Urdim.

His performance was truly unrivaled. The outer shell is excellent in that it protects the body to the great extent, his eyes are terrifying because of their aggressive acute angle. The blows delivered from his limbs easily crush the rocks and shake the dragon’s body.

However, for some reason, he was also injecting magical power onto his body to achieve a jet-like mobility, which would normally be impossible for someone like him.

─── Urdim can’t be fast enough to lose the sight of him.

─── Urdim cannot shoot like a rainstorm from a long distance.

─── Urdim can’t use magic like manipulating fire or thunder.

─── However, Urdim can stay on the frontlines the entire time, and his HP and physical strength were all that he really needed here.

And that means that the contribution of Survival into the fight would suffer because of that and…… He really did not want to admit it, but it was almost upward compatible.

「God damn it…… And he’s not even a Player……」

The performance of Urdim, whose playstyle was a one-shot deadly deathblow over and ver again, was exactly what Survival was also all about, a style that you would also often see in hardcore games. It was also something that Survival was aiming at and what he wanted to perfect ever since he started playing ShanFro…… but it is the end, his struggles would not yield the results he wanted and he felt as though he was going to cry.

「But anyways…… What’s wrong?」

It’s not about comparing himself to Urdim, but about dealing with Tomahawk.

In the first place, the power of Survival has hardly been effective against an enemy called Tomahawk, which is equivalent to a whole body metal dragon. Strictly speaking, an attack that just swings a weapon is not invalid at this point…… but it is still inferior to that of Urdim, who surely shakes the core of Tomahawk with each strike of his fists.

「…… Heh, I long for a life where I can get anything I want even if I have to beg for it! But I guess it’s useless in here! Utterly useless! Then, I guess I just need to keep on hitting it until we finally manage to bring this thing down!」

That’s how he lived his life until now, and that’s how he managed to survive on that deserted island. Then, even inside of Shangri-La Frontier, this big principle of his would not be shaken. If it’s a game that is as close to reality as possible…… there can be no mistake between living in reality and living in another dream.

「I’m content with being a hyena, but……… Urdim!!」

「What is, it?」

「Can you make a scratch in this thing? Anything will be fine! Just make sure to pry this asshole open……!!」

「Alright.」

Survival’s attacks can hardly hit Tomahawk, but as mentioned above, he is just “wielding a weapon”. That is, if he was to add a little more effort instead of just swinging around his weapons, the result could be entirely different.

The strongest hit he once dreamed of, giving up is only one way to achieve it.

「This is a party battle, after all. I’m all in for competing, but you also need to know when to cooperate with others.」

The answer that Survival has reached at the end of trial and error is that instead of making his current main job a Gladiator one, he got a job at the top of the list for the “Warrior” archetype, the class of a “Warlord”.

The Warlords are the kings of battle who master all kinds of weapons and demonstrate their true value. By increasing the output of skills corresponding to the equipped weapons, it is possible to operate all weapons with the same output as professionals by the skill “Warrior Liberation ‘Weapon Drive’” (although skills and magic must be dispersed for each weapon). So it is inferior to a job that truly specializes in one form of attacks or another.

「No matter what its whole body is made of, is it a living thing in terms of classification? If so, the effect of this guy will be useful for sure.」

Bloody King’s Belt ‘Blood Champion Cestus’. It is a winning prize for some Player Versus Player content that exists in the world of ShanFro, and is a proof of Survival’s “Ashura Kai All-Out”. Now, the Ashura Kai ranking is not necessarily an indicator of raw strength, but the number of Player kills.

Holding a fist wrapped in a fist band dyed red and black by the blood of its victims who that soaked into it over time, he was now glaring right at the Blade Dragon in front of him.

「Let me beat you into a pulp…… “Shigeho Toru Kaken ‘Juhou Tokaken’”!」

Even if there is a special attack on the dragon, even if you can move faster than yourself. There is no reason why I can’t do it because I can be half-naked with a lower STR than myself.

The power to twist down any enemy that stands before him is certainly in the hands of Survival right now.
