ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

If the story is unable to go on on its own, there is only one solution to do here. If you have the time to talk wastefully, then you have time to move your body around, so that’s what we are going to do here.

That’s why at the current moment we were all slipping through a strangely quiet forest and stepping into the desert…… It’s 2 o’clock in the middle of the night, but this place still looks as if it was noon.

「Hmm…… Oh yeah. I want to take a quick detour here.」

「Dude, did you already forget what you said?」

I’m a man who tries to not be trapped in my own past.

「Before we all left, you said, “There are going to be no detours whatsoever……」

「This is this, and that is that. This material replenishment.」

「Sanraku-san…… Just how many days do you want this excursion to last?」

Myself, Dipslaughter, and Survival, who doesn’t know much about anybody else’s personality, are beginning to realize that this person named Karoshis UQ might actually be “nuts”. But on top of that, he is the most lively of us all here. No one in here had the courage to point that thing out out loud…… Even that pervert Deepslaughter, which was already weird in its own right.

This guy…… I’m sure it was a kind of control device that could be characteristic of a company slave. Very rarely you see a “type that can shave off their real self for the purpose of the game”…… or it’s something you might actually see on the α Alpha versions of the servers.

Looking at all the spiders, centipedes, and scorpion weapons I showed, I answered without hesitation, keeping in mind not to be swallowed by the strange aura of Karoshis UQ.

「No, it’s still just on the route to Catzeria…… And besides,」

「And besides what?」

「Survival, I’m sure you’re going to like it, right?」

The concentration of poison and the blast radius might be too intense, but … the atmosphere over there is a bit like an that one on the isolated island.

…

………

……………

The desert area is almost as wide if not wider like the entirety of Rabbitz. But in fact, just like with the Sea of Trees, if you continue to run properly without a map, your sense of direction will be seriously messed up.

Karoshis said that we, who live in this modern society, would have to look at the stars and the moon to figure out the direction if that was to happen…… but if you’re doing ShangriLa Frontier to some extent, this is an essential skill to have orientation-wise.

That’s why, for the duration of the second and third day, we decided gathered people dedicated to ShanFro, so we decided to make a detour immediately to get some much needed “supplies”, so we have to cross the desert for us to do that. But then……

「No, look at that, Sanraku…… this, do you understand what this is? This is a self-deformation mechanism. The ground activity performance might have been reduced here, but it’s an acute-angled and streamlined customization that can be called a fighter……」

「Isn’t the main body deformation causing flying while sitting down on the ground?」

「It was a lesser of two evils, believe it or not.」

Unlike the Sea of Trees, this place right here has a very few obstructions. This is why Yashiro Bird took out his INVENTORY…… or its budget version called CHESTORIA , and what emerged from inside of it was a Tactical Machine. The type is Triangular Body Pyramid Men, like the one that Rust was using, but I thought he was interested in guns exclusively, not Mechas. However…… I think he was just as interested in seeing this in action as Rust would be……

The appearance of a further customized Pyramid Man with a very characteristic shape is…… I wonder, this thing looks like a snow-covered Pterois out of all things.

Basically, Type Men behaves like a Power Armor when operated by a human pilot, so they don’t usually deform. But it can also do something very similar to deforming. For example, you can fold your limbs to create a shape that specializes in flight ability out of all things.

「It’s actually impossible to fly inexhaustibly with this, but you can earn a good distance coverage. And above all else, you can mount a gun in this form. It’s a long-distance transport robot based on the advice that was given to me……」

Next is Karoshis UQ.

His vehicle makes a funky noise…… And the engine of the motorcycle is steaming. That’s also the type of bike that has a rugged backrest rather than a heroic feel to it. It feels like it was forced into a cyberpunk setting, or maybe it was made on board of the Leviathan…… Bahamut content has a different range of things that can be done with or without a “license”, after all.

On the contrary, if you get a license for yourself, then your possibilities are suddenly becoming endless.

「I made this thing with a vehicle license, it’s not suitable for the Sea of Trees, but if there is such a spacious field as this one, there is no loss in deploying it here.」

「Vehicle license, huh?」

「Well, it’s like a car license, honestly. You can afford it if you stick to farming.」

「When someone who mostly plays after 10 P.M says that, it really makes you wonder about the value of currency that is time, you know?」

Then next. Deepslaughter.

Her Realization Wand, The Desire, can double the power of non-attack magic. In other words, if only floating was left to the small cane held on by the third arm that grew from her back, and the Realization Wand held by both her normal hands was responsible for the propulsion in the air, we could make this work.

「Sanraku-kun……」

「What is it?」

「No, it’s just that…… Maybe I’ll get the title of Maximum Speed as well in the future, so…… I just thought I’ll let you know about that.」

Huh?

「Nice, Deepslaughter, I like that. If you wanted to provoke me with that, then you have a perfect score of one hundred points.」

「What is the reward that I will get if I win?」

「Now, now. You’ve got one hundred points, but those are red points. So they are deducted.」

「Yes! This means remedials for just the two of us! Where nothing bad is going to happen!」

「There you go. A cigarette burn.」

「This is so wrong! But you are also so wonderful!」

Now that the materials are necessary and time is of the essence, I guess I’m allowed to get a little bit more violent than usual.

Now then…… each one of us have prepared ourselves to cross the desert. “Oh well,” it’s easy to cross the desert with these people, I guess. Now we aim for Catzeria, the kingdom of cats! “Hey, oi!” Let’s fold the flags that we haven’t seen yet and focus on the big flag right in front of us for the time being, and at the end of that road I…… No, we are going to smack that fucking snake around really good! “No, serious! Hey!” Wimps is doing her best, too…… So I can’t fall behind her!

「Hey! What should I do!!」

「「「「……………」」」」

The reason why the rabbit was defeated in the foot race between the rabbit and the turtle is nothing else but its pride. We don’t sleep at night, but unfortunately we haven’t introduced the Zenon-Style unreasonable turn-based foot race rule, so it’s impossible for a turtle to beat a rabbit in this setting…… in other words:

「Oh well, don’t worry about it too much. I’ll think of something.」

「Oh? Well, I’m listening, then.」

「First of all, let’s tie this rope to Yashiro Bird.」

「Please enjoy a comfortable flight.」

「Yeah.」

「And then let’s tie another rope to Karoshis UQ-san.」

「Please enjoy a wonderful land trip, is that alright?」

「…… Yeah, I guess?」

「And then, what we are going to do is to tie these two ropes to both wrists and ankles of Survival, respectively.」

To explain things in a graphic way…… It’s going to be something like this.

「Say…… Why are you even tying us together like that?」

「If you put too much burden on one side, the probability of an accident will increase, and above all else……」

「This robot.」

「This bike.」

「「It’s a one-seater」」

「God fucking damn it!!!」
