ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

Somehow, the eyes of the representatives of the various races gather towards me. However, I have no time to get caught up in it. I am the ruler of time, the one who various shitty dating sims that stood in my path! The settlement with this self-proclaimed Orc is of the highest priority right now. I’m sorry, I just waved my hand and turned my gaze back towards Urudim-san.

「No, no, no, no. No, no no no! Surely you must be kidding, right?」

「……………」

Oh shit, it looks like he’s in a really bad mood all of a sudden! This is bad, this is bad! I need to fix this at once!

「Ah, what I meant here is that, the Orcs I know…… They give you a little bit of a softer impression? As in, they seem to be on the slightly fatter side?」

In your case, you’re probably the one who’s shiny with lubricating oil. Or fat? I really hope it’s oil, not fat?

「…… I am, not a fake. I am, a genuine Oak.」

「No, I mean…… Orcs are slightly fat creatures with pig heads, and they seem to be killing machines with reinforced skeletons to boot……?」

Somehow it feels really strange.

「Ooorc?」

「I am Oak.」

……… Hmm, could it be that the intonation is somehow different here? It’s more like dragging the word? Or maybe it’s like some really convoluted tongue twister of some sort?

「Not a pig-headed Orc?」

「An Oak is, an Oak.」

Ah…… I, I see? In short, it’s the same character, but it’s pronounced differently? Like, an Oak, perhaps? Or maybe that’s a whole different race with a whole different name to them?

「Oh, no, you see…… It seems I was rather rude here to you. I apologize if I have disrespected you in any way, Urudim-san……」

「I’m Urdim.」

「My bad, Urdim-san.」

「Now then…… There is, a thing that, I would like to, ask of you, Human from Beyond the Surging Waves.」

A question? Like, who is the strongest human being ever? In that case, I’m sorry, but I wonder if I should give Rei-san’s name here……? At least with Rei-san, she seems to be the strongest Player I know.

But what Urdim-san wants to know is apparently not something related to fighting ethnic, but something else entirely. His eyeballs then squeezed into tiny little slits as he was looking straight at me. The shell of his whole body is squeaking and screaming as if to demonstrate the strength of his entire body, and the chair on which he is sitting is squeaking as well. If the chair broke and Urdim-san landed on his butt on the ground, what should I do? Would laughing at his misfortune be the start of a literal blood bath?

「Human being, from Beyond the Surging Waves…… My kinsmen. Have you seen them, Beyond the Surging Waves?」

「…… Kinsmen?」

Urdim-san’s kinsmen would be…… In other words, they are covered with a thick shell that is covering a reinforced skeleton, have four eyes, and their fangs are like thick razors. And they seem to be humanoid in shape, but are not really human, right?

Well, that would have been quite a sight to see something like that parading over the roads of the Old World. Even though they are not Unique Monsters, if they were wandering around like that, I highly doubt the game would have stayed balanced for much longer. They also seem to be completely evil in nature…… No, I guess that Urdim-san is not necessarily evil, but I can guarantee you that if he appeared outside of the gates of Thirdrema saying that he has come in peace and in search of honest work, no one would believe those words.

「Please give me a moment…… No, I don’t think I have seen anyone matching that description……」

「………… Hmm, I, see.」

Uwah, he seems depressed now. To me, it only looks like a charging action before doing something big, like an attack, but Urdim-san then leant down with his back curled up. This is an opportunity, now I can see the danger of a bad end going further and further away from me…… And if so, since he folded up, it’s my opportunity to strike a decisive blow……! I’m not sure why I’m trying to slay a Killing Beast right here, but I can’t escape from a bad end if you are still depressed by the mistakes of the past! Moping is the flag for a bad end, a bony hand of the bony God of Death squeezing your throat.

「Ah, please correct me if I’m wrong about this, but…… you are searching for your kinsmen, correct?」

「Yes…… I have a, younger brother. Went missing. Ever since I’m, looking for him and, my fellow brethren…… Always searching, always travelling.」

When I heard the full story, it seemed to be something along those lines:

Ever since he was born, Urdim-san knew that he was supposed to be the “King Orc”, but aside from that he knew nothing else. I’m actually curious how he managed to survive being that way, but that’s beside the point for now.

That’s why, by some miracle Urdim-san managed to survive in this would where “Strong will eat weak are meat” philosophy was in full swing…… Well, as for right now, he seems to be the top rank in the food chain of this particular ecosystem, and he survived although he had several close calls throughout his life. But he endured through them all. It seems that he’s been treated as a monster that is completely incomprehensible to the sub-races of the New World because he looks like a monster, but as the story went on, Urdim-san proved himself to be a fairly rational person.

Urdim-san also managed to obtain a human-like “intelligence” at one point by meeting Weissash. The mystery of Weissash’s character deepened once more, but that is also a story for another time.

It is impossible to interact with sub-races with this appearance. Therefore, under the guarantee of Weissash, the leader of this great alliance, he seemed to be working as a mercenary over the countries of the multi-ethnic federation. No, this story isn’t that important as well.

The important thing is that Urdim-san is now “in the process of getting married”.

This may sound like a joke, but it’s not that strange. In other words, the instinct to leave offspring behind took over…… but here’s the problem.

In the first place, no one has ever seen a race called “Oak”. The homonymous Oaks are an endangered species, but a few of them seemed to have survived…… but it’s still a different race by all means. Urdim-san, who has traveled all over the New World, has never met his compatriots. Therefore, this brings us to the present moment…… the encounter with a human who came from the Old Continent beyond the great waves was a beacon of hope for him … but the result was not as good as he expected it to be.

「Well…… It must be hard being all alone, with no brethren to call your own. So even if you alone survive……」

「That’s right…… Always, on my own, but I want to, believe that, I don’t have to, be all alone…… But……」

Probatio diabolica. It is much more difficult to prove that something is “not” than to prove that something is “yes”. It is a pure fact that the race of Oaks is present in this world because of the existence of this here Urdim-san. But if so, it would not be strange if there were two or more Oaks in this world who were the same as Urdim-san.

「I understand…… I understand, Urdim-san. If there is even a slight possibility, I’ll want to try and help you out…… That’s the saga of all living things, after all.」

Even if the random numbers are the absolute dogshit here like 0.01%, as long as the odds are not zero, human beings will challenge those odds forever. Since the drop rate after the decimal point is really rough, if 0.01% is guaranteed, there is no option not to challenge it.

「Hey, you! Yes, you! Human!」

「Huh?」

「Shut up! Noisy Oak, leave here!!」

「Yeah that’s right!」

Huh? Centaurs and Harpies are starting to act more and more cheeky towards us…… Well, it’s not like I don’t get where you’re coming from, but that’s not all that good of a behavior…… And then I saw Weissash, who seemed to be ignoring all of the commotion, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly. Hmm, I see?

「Oi, you assholes……! I’m in the middle of an important life consultation with Urdim-san here! So shut your fucking traps or else I’ll make a horse sashimi and yakitori our of you, and feed them to this lolicon of a Survival here!」

「No, why are you dragging me into your own mess all of a sudden? But then again, it makes me want to think of the good old times, so I don’t really mind all that much……」

Somehow, the number of sharp gazes zeroing in on me has increased…… Huh? What’s that? You want to take this one outside? Want to end up like Urdim-san over there? A Killing Beast ending like that? It’s not too late to ask for forgiveness, you know? You only need to grovel on the ground. …… Wait, can Centaurs even grovel in the first place?
