ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

It is said that a lot of things in this world are predestined or interconnected with one another. Like for example, there used to be a terrifying three-necked dinosaur-dragon that stood at the top of the food chain in the eastern part of the New World.

Or perhaps the connection that a certain Player forged with this dinosaur-dragon that might have led to a new species that nobody had seen before being born…… Or a rare item that nobody had ever seen before.

But unfortunately, right here I simply cannot wait to nurture that rival-friendly relationship with this Last Boss-like monster. This is the kind of battle where both sides bet on their respective win. And since I was the one who placed the bet first, I have to make sure that this bet will be a winning one, so as to make up for any time that might be lost here. And hope that the reward items are going to be well worth it.

「Hehehe…… It might be difficult, but I can control it even without the Over-Transmission……」

The success rate here is overestimated to be fifty…… No, about forty five percent at best. The Critical Speed attack diversion cannot eliminate the possibility of being blown away by a reaction and dying as a result, but for me now, it is a bet with a not so bad probability.

For you see, I take pride in the fact that I might be the best hunter of the Crystal Scorpions that there is in the entire world of ShangriLa Frontier!

At first glance, this thing seems to be vulnerable to striking attacks, but in reality, I know that most of its body has an excellent impact resistance, and on top of that, I also know that its impact-resistant legs cannot be broken or torn off that easily.

And above all else, it’s actually more than resistant enough to slash attacks…… No, even if you look at it comprehensively, every attack requires a number of times that they need to land, so isn’t there actually not that big of a difference?

Therefore, what I should be doing here is to aim for its front legs, front legs. Since the claw-based materials come out from the legs, I should aim all of my efforts there rather than trying to destroy its tail. And if I break the armor on the front legs to pieces, I can press on the offensive there as much as I want..

The good thing about this monster is that even if you don’t have a destructive attribute on your weapons, you can still break it apart just by hitting it enough times. Well, it’s still difficult to pull off, especially with my current specs…… Sometimes I miss that stupid firepower normal attacks that Rei-san and Massive Dynamite could pull off.

Kuh, if only the avatar of Sanraku from the game Time Chaser 2 ~ Amber Bullet ~ was here…… In that game, the main character is a pistol that can fire an amber bullet that not only is fast and powerful, but it could also increase its power infinitely. So if you hit a bullet that specializes in power from a close range at the expense of range and accuracy, you can generally win any kind of battle they would throw your way.

My name there at that time was Boxing Sniper (a name that ridiculed the strategy of shooting from a close distance while stealthily approaching the target even though it should be a sniper mission) ……… Boxing sniper is now a story of the past, but boxing shooting itself is sometimes useful, even if it could be really troublesome at times.

「Don’t think that I’m going to let you off the hook that easily. I will make effective use of your materials.」

And since this is a solo subjugation, the materials I am going to receive here should also be quite nice. Well, that’s what I am going to be doing here, but while we are at it, what exactly is going on down below?

While I was busy fighting here, I could feel a whole lot of tremors coming from down below…… Oh, is it about our neighbors? Are they on the offensive? When you guys do that kind of concentrated fire, it means that shit must have gotten real down there, right?

Looking down while being careful of the danger that is right in front of me, while also minding not to be hit by a laser shot from either left or right……

「Uwah…… That’s the first time I’m seeing something like this……」

What did they do down there, those guys? For the first time ever, I saw Giant Centipede and Queen Fortress appearing even though Gustavs and normal Fortresses surviving on the field. What is this hellish tag team match?

「……… At this rate, I don’t even want to go back down to something like this.」

Even at the outer edge of the crater seems to be a terrible warzone at the current moment..

I could see some magical effects flashing there, and I felt like I heard a thin sound that seemed to be a scream, so maybe let’s watch this for a moment longer and kill some time with it.

The scorpions are also in interception mode anyways, and the mining time should not be that longer from the usual one.

「Hmm, I wonder if only the Tsarberyl Crystals will come out of here, or will it be something more……?」

Tsuberyl Crystals are a thing to have on yourself, because weapons and armors created with it are really powerful, but they also come with a variety of Switch effects by default, so……? Hmm?

「Hmm? Posti-Tsarberyl?」

Hmm…… This seems to be a Tsarberyl with some accumulated magical power in it…… Is it close to a Lapisteria in nature? Like, it seems to be a rather rare of a drop.

Huh! I knew it! The war economy is the best possible economy there is!

…

………

……………

Question: What happens when the Queen Fortress and Giant Centipede fight in a tight fight?

Answer: Everyone dies except for the scorpions and everyone who is lucky enough to be up above them.

「Did you pick up the materials?」

「It cost me about five guns being turned into scrap.」

「Is it okay for us to go one more time?」

「How can you possibly want more of this hellish action!?」

「What do you think about using double the magic? Will it increase our Treasure Capture by a huge margin?」

I see, so aside from Deepslaughter everyone seemed to have a really hard of a time collecting anything.

「No, you see, that’s because when those guys dig up the ground in the first place, it eventually leads to the awakening of those bigger monsters! What the hell is up with that!?」

「No, you see, I’m really sorry to hear that you had such bad of a time here…… (Trying to sound convincing with a bad result)」

「Guh!」

「Ouch!?」

So it’s too late to withdraw, huh…… Ouch, my poor brain.

I have no plans to go another lap again for the time being, and I have no intention of jumping back into the battlefield where the roaring sounds continue to sound even as we are fairly away from it. Also, at this moment, the tent was crushed by the fragments of the shells that flew around in the aftermath, and the HP of Karoshis was halved by the splinters of the ground and rock flying all over the place, so it would be bad if we stayed here. So we chose to evacuate instead.

「It’s okay, the road is over for now! It’s morning!」

「Being able to play at 6 o’clock in the morning. Isn’t that … amazing?」

「Karoshis-san…… It’s okay, it’s really okay…… Let’s play with all our strength, I know that you can do it……!」

While Karoshis UQ was laughing innocently, Yashiro Bird called out sadly like that……

Now it’s time to get back on the right track.

「The route to Cazzeria leads from here to the southwest…… No, this is like the west-southwest? There seems to be a canyon there.」

「I need to take out some mapping items to make the new map of the New Continent.」

「Don’t you know, Survival? The Library has already released this map to the public.」

「Seriously?」

The detailed location of Cazzeria was taught to me by Elk, but they don’t need to know that. Since we don’t have time, we can say that it was a good purchase considering that I bought efficiency in exchange for some Vorpal Soul meter. The Vorpal Soul is not a currency, but looking at Karoshis one would certainly beg to disagree.

It’s close to the volcano where the Miner Dwarves live, or almost in its neighborhood…… How is the volcano and the canyon adjacent to each other? I’m a smart high school student, but even I don’t know the conditions for such a thing to occur.

For example…… Could it be that the magma that has already flowed out at a speed of about Mach 2 dug into the ground and flowed away as it is? No, isn’t it just stupid to think with the existing laws of physics when you know that there are already huge monsters and primordial gods dug deep inside of the ground?

And when monsters like that will start to appear, this will be one hell of a show to witness! But since this is a game, I just need to accept its current circumstances as something perfectly natural and logical..

「Anyway, let’s take a break after we reach our destination! Breakfast is important, after all!」

Aim for a cat country, a more peaceful country than the battlefield!!!
