ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

Cait-Sith, in a huge nutshell, is a bipedal cat able to speak human language. And if you wanted for even a kindergartner to understand their nature, you could simply describe them as puss in boots.

At the very least the Cat-Sìth I have encountered so far seemed to understand the concepts of intelligence, kingship and knightly pride that, so it wasn’t making them that much different from any normal human NPC.

However, cats are still cats, and it’s a fact that is easy to forget sometimes…… And the reason I don’t want to go to remote places like this one is not because I’m shy or because I have a communicative disorder.

「Well, I mean, it’s hard to think that ordinary citizens are going to have levels that are going to exceed one hundred or so……」

In short, a slight panic occurred amidst the civilians due to the effect of the Carved Wounds I had on me.

「Oi, oi! I’m really sorry, Sanraku, please forgive me! I know I should not do it, but I’m putting those cat ears on…… It’s just to show fraternity, after all!」

One piece of bromide. coming right up.

「Ooohhh! Ooohhh! Ooohhh! Hey! Where are you going!? There’s no need to be scared! Aren’t you over-exaggerating a bit here!? Hey! Excuse me!! Hey, you there! My best friend!」

「That’s right, if you want to be best friends with someone, money is always the answer!」

Sure, money can guarantee all the credit you need, but I don’t think it will be enough to earn someone’s trust that way.

But that being said…… Wasn’t there going to be a summit of some sort here? According to Weissash’s story? I was saying that something like that would be opened around here…… Hmm, I see.

「I can see some dog-head hiding right over there.」

「And there we can see some goblins…… Aren’t the NPCs here a little bit all over the place?」

Cat Kingdom Catzeria. There were many races other than Cat-Sìth in here when we happened to arrived, and races that were clearly monsters that did not fall under the normal sub-races of the New World.

Well, and all of those races were currently scared of me and wary of my existence, mostly because of that particular “Wolf” aura that I was emanating at all times. Well, I think that humans can be even greater of a monster rather than someone with Carved Wounds on them, but I get it. For the time being Luukan is bad. Luukan, I really hope that this next fight we are going to have between the two of us is going to be well worth it, because my hate towards you only keeps on piling up for the time being. …… And hatred is really important to have in fights like this one, since it motivates you to push forward.

「Hey, hey!」

「For the time being, I guess it would be good if there was any Vorpal Bunny around here. It would make explaining things that much quicker.」

「The buildings here are all human-scale and remind me of normal cityscapes. That’s slightly unexpected, I thought it would be lined up with cat-sized buildings, but tall enough for them to walk into them on two legs.」

「If we stay overnight, we might be able to see everything this place has to offer. But that being said, there is no reason for us to stay here all night.」

「Hey, Sanraku-kun.」

…………….

「…… What is it?」

「Let’s just face the reality here.」

「i don’t know why, but when someone like you is saying things like that, it makes me feel that special kind of infuriated for some reason.」

「If you can hit me in such a way that I am still able to function normally after that, which is a role peculiar to victims of Domestic Violence, then I guess that the role of a wife who is a victim of Domestic Violence is not so bad after all!」

「Alright, here goes! Cigarette burn!」

「Aaahh!」

But, indeed, being angry is proof that Deepslaughter’s words are pretty much correct. Well, yeah, I guess…… I had already seen it coming for a while before I even came here, but when I actually got to experience it firsthand, it felt like I was losing for some strange reason…… No, it’s just a game! I need to remember that!

「And here’s a goat.」

「It certainly looks like a goat.」

「No…… Isn’t it more like a deer?」

「But do you honestly think that a deer would look so beefed-up like that and ready to fight?」

─── MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO……………!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

「「「「It’s a freaking cow!」」」」

For example, Trainor Centipede. For example, Fortress Gargantua. According to the flavor text of the materials obtained from them, there was a sentence that made everyone who was reading it only react with a “Say what now?” upon hearing it. A race that escaped from their natural habitat of the New Continent. Hmm, I see…… flavor texts can keep things to be blurred, but they cannot lie, huh?

It is still taller than the Fortress’s body height and still longer than the overall length of the Centipede.. A joke-sized hairy cow lets out a sound while trying to fit its body into the valley……

─── ……… BUEH.

「Seriously? It’s burping now?」

It was a mere burp, but it caused the buildings to shake a little. Now the real question here is: what would happen if this thing decided to let out a mighty roar instead? Wouldn’t that basically cause the entire area to be blow away?

Here, Catzeria is a country of cats at the bottom of a canyon that is made up of two physical mountains…… If that super-super-giant cow moves lightly, the left and right cracked mountains are likely to collapse at any moment now. I mean, why is this cow completely inserting its head into the canyon?

「It surely thinks that we are just a group of small monsters, huh? It’s not a summer resort for the predatory races, so sorry, but we are going to have to tame you a little bit!」

「Or at the very least that should be the case……」

「Umu! When I heard the news that it was a horrifying monster with a burning face that arrived here, I was worried what kind of a vile creature decided to invade us, but it was just you!」

And there was a voice while we were being distracted by the giant cow’s appearance. Now, if we turn around, we could see nothing in front of us…… No, but then we just look down, and.

「Oh, is that you, Aramis?」

「It’s not really the first time we are meeting, but it’s been so long that it feels as though it’s our first meeting. And yes, I knew it…… You have become even stranger since that last time!」

I mean yeah, I guess? Especially since my face seems to be burning?

At the current moment there was a small group of furballs that was apparently the Knights of Catzeria led by Aramis that came to the forefront, pushing the other cats back. And I guess this actually saves us the trouble of looking for someone who can guide us in the right direction. As Pencilgton used to say: it’s important to create events that give you the connections to those in power in various places.

「Well, to put it simply, my Big Bro Weissash told me to come here. So here I am.」

「Alright, that’s good enough of an explanation for me. Let us guide you together with your companions!」

Well, it’s actually good that they were so quick to understand our story.

「Hey, hey, Sanraku-kun?」

「What is it? Just so you know, if you even think about taking out your sword here and screaming something like “It’s time to slice some cats!”, even if it’s for a gag purpose, I’ll beat the shit out of you.」

「Why, you doing something like that to me is all that I have been ever dreaming of, Sanraku-kun! Ahyiin! Just make sure that you’ll leave plenty of hickeys all over my neck as markings!!」

It would seem that mere threats have began to lose their effectiveness here…… I guess I need something new and fresh here if I want to keep her in check. Poison, perhaps? No, I don’t mind if she loses all of her HP and dies…… But I don’t want to be labeled as Player Killer because of her, either.

「Hey, Sanraku? What are we even doing here again?」

「That’s actually a very good question, Survival. And truth to be told…… I don’t really understand that, either.」

「Oi, are you serious?」
