ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Wimp-chan, are you perhaps interested in trying out Kusarigama?」

「Otaku-kun, in situations like this one, the best kind of weapons are the ones that move fast and allow you to establish a certain domain around the battlefield……」

「Huh? Guys, what are you talking about? The Gyro Gloves are the best choice here! Three strikes and you’re out!」

「If you at least said Cesti gloves, then that would have made it much more believable.」

「This is a Japanese katana. There is no girl out there in the world who doesn’t look good with a Japanese katana in tow!」

「That may be so, but that’s not nearly all that interesting. Most of the Players around Thirdrema parade with Japanese katanas, mind you.」

「Then how about this Smack Sword? But if you use it without any skill correction…… it’s weak as hell, isn’t it……?」

「I mean, experiences like that are needed for your proper growth. It’s this thing that allows boys to mature into men, after all.」

「Huh? Am I not misunderstanding something? Or was that an illusion of some sort? did you honestly just spun that oversized greatsword of yours with only one hand?」

「No waaay.」

At first Wimp had real trouble deciding which weapon from the ones displayed in front of her she should choose. She then picked up a comically oversized greatsword and spun it around with one hand as if the weapon was as light as a feather. And then she went ahead and stopped in front of another weapon for about two minutes, clearly pondering something.

「This. I’ll take this one.」

「…… Huh? Dual swords? Why? Why not a Japanese katana, while you’re at it?」

「Dude, we talked about this. No griefing and no hard feelings. Unless you want to be stripped naked and thrown to the sea to wrestle with the sea monsters just like that? That would be a quality content, huh?」

「Do I look like a walking can of fish food to you?」

When she was asked for a reason, Wimp remembers certain words while picking up the twin swords and giving them a swing or two with no special ability or proficiency behind those swings.

If you despise yourself for being “weak” and “fear” those who stand above you…… In other words, it’s that kind of “longing” that she’s been feeling since way back then.

.

So those words rang especially true for the character named “Wimp”, and they were well-worth remembering, no matter how pretentious they were. The white snake, with a firm determination shining in her eyes, said the words that she heard from that one particular person before.

「─── No matter how strong your opponent might seem at first, as long as you keep hitting them you are going to be able to win eventually. That sounds about right?」

「What’s that? Sounds like something a complete Muscle-Brain would come up with.」

「Wimp-chan, could it be that you are such a battle maniac? That’s news to me……!!」

「No, actually…… Doesn’t that ideal smell awfully Tsuchinoko-san-like to you guys……?」

「So what about the rest of the weapons and armor? Aren’t you going to give them a look as well?」

「Maybe Tsuchinoko–san already has something prepared for her somewhere else……?」

It was at that time. At the present moment, a new figure appeared in the Undersea Coliseum, a place that should be known only to the members of the Tias-chan Dress-Up Corps and some select few members of the production jobs.

「Hey there, did you call for me, perhaps!? But I’m here!」

「No, we did not, who the hell are you……!? W-Wait, you are……!?」

How should that person even be described? Well, to start off, in a nutshell…… it should be said that it was a cross-dresser who was most probably a member of one of the production groups. As many people already know, Shangri-La Frontier employs a very advanced in-game character creator where the Player can choose to make their avatars into whatever shape and size that strikes their fancy at the current moment. Of course, it is entirely possible with a character creator like that for men to create female avatars, and vice versa.

If you use items that can be acquired through clearing some of the game’s content, even your voice, previously unchangeable, can be changed to that of the opposite gender. But there is no reason other than the person’s “hobby” to bother with making a character that might be that person, albeit with their gender swapped like that..

So in other words, this Player right here was a strange one, with the body that resembled the ancient sculptures from the real world, but who for some reason or another was wearing a full-fledged maid outfit and, which made for quite the impactful impression. That was the kind of Player that just entered the Coliseum.

「What? What? The hell is this? What does that mean?」

「Elyshion Otokuchuru……!!!」

「But the Maid-outfit equipment is something that should be strictly limited to women…… No, those clothes, they are……!!!」

「Guys, I can’t keep u. What is going on here……?」

「After a period of rigorous and strict training, I have finally arrived… And I have transcended the limits of sewing, no! Of this very world! Now I am the highest profession of “God Tailor ‘Grand Couturier’”! Yes, it is I! Elyshion Otokuchuru!!!」

The figure then stretched his back and flipped his long skirt, striking a dignified pose. And even though he just announced himself in such an eccentric manner, this introduction only had a rather negative impact on everyone present in the Coliseum. Not to mention Wim-, who was only growing more confused by the second and could not quite follow what was currently going on. On the other hand, the members of the Dress-Up Corps started groaning and getting strangely excited…… And Wimp was able to realize that this newly-arrived figure had something to do with it.

「W-What!? Wanna go, huh!? Is that why you came here for!? Wanna fight!?」

Before she could even realize what she was doing, Wimp already assumed a combat stance with the twin swords still in her hands. However, the eyes of Elyshion Otokuchuru were unwavering. It’s as if that person was not afraid that they might get stabbed or slashed by Wimp in a matter of second. But instead, they just approached Wimp head-on while looking her directly in the eyes and……

「I have come in here so that I could meet you.」

「Huh……?」

「I have heard it all from Survival. Don’t worry, I shall tailor the best maid outfit for you in those two days!」

「Huh……?」

OOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!! Hearing those words just now, all of the members of the Dress–Up Corps went into a state of wild excitement. But since Wimp was unable to understand what the big deal here was, she could only look at them with suspicion, question marks popping above her head one after another. But if there was one thing that she managed to learn from observing this situation, it would be something alongside the lines of:

「Humans, are scary……」
