The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 106: Chapter 106: I Can Use Instant Teleportation!

The guy with the injured hand was still waiting on the ground to provide backup. Seeing his partner fall, he rushed to catch him, only to be crushed beneath him and knocked to the dirt.

”Why are you so useless? If my hand wasn’t cut, I would have gone up myself!”

”No... I didn’t mess up. A guy suddenly appeared out of nowhere!”

”What guy?”

Sprawled on the ground, the two looked up, but from their angle, they didn’t see anyone.

”Are you chickening out?”

”Screw it! Let’s try again!”

The two scrambled to their feet. One crouched down again while the other stepped onto his shoulders. Just as the guy on the bottom stood up to boost his partner, the one with the injured hand asked a question.

”Did you hear a CLICK?”

”What CLICK?”

The guy on top, who was grabbing the edge of the second-floor balcony to pull himself up, felt utterly baffled.

”It sounded like a door opening...”

Just as the injured guy on the bottom finished speaking, he saw the living room door swing wide open. A silhouette appeared right in front of him!

He didn’t fall over in fright, but carrying a full-grown man on his shoulders, his panic caused him to stumble.

The guy on top hissed, ”Keep steady! Don’t drop me!”

”There’s... there’s someone here...”

”No, there isn’t!” This time, he had specifically peeked over the edge; the balcony was empty.

The injured guy didn’t argue. Seeing Zhang Yun raise a fist, he frantically dodged to the side.

He completely forgot he was carrying his partner!

Not only did he fail to dodge the phantom threat, but he also dragged the guy on top down with him. The two men crashed to the ground once again.

”What the hell is wrong with you?” This time, the guy on top complained. Falling from a higher point, he took the brunt of the impact—and he had fallen twice now.

Then, he also noticed the silhouette standing right in front of them and immediately shut his mouth.

”Come on! Be good and open your mouths!”

Hearing Zhang Yun’s words, the two men clamped their jaws shut.

Zhang Yun didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ”Damn it! It’s not like I’m trying to shove something foul down your throats!”

The two men finally reacted. They sprang up and lunged, aiming straight for Zhang Yun’s head!

Crouching between them, Zhang Yun struck out with both hands, simultaneously burying a fist into each of their chests!

It was as if they had been slammed by sledgehammers. Before they could even fully stand, they collapsed back to the ground, crying out in agony.

Zhang Yun took a pair of filthy, mud-caked work gloves he had prepared and stuffed them into their mouths.

”Answer me honestly. Who sent you? What do you want?” Zhang Yun demanded in a low voice.

”...”

With their mouths gagged, the two men had absolutely no intention of answering.

Zhang Yun grabbed the guy whose hand had been pierced by the glass. ”I’ll give you two chances. First, I’ll drag your hands across the top of that wall.”

He pulled the wounded hand close to their faces so they could get a good look at the cut.

”Second, I’ll press your faces against it and grind them into the wall!”

Both men shivered in terror, especially the one whose hand had already been impaled. The top of the wall was lined with jagged glass shards. If their faces were dragged across that...

It wouldn’t just disfigure them; it would blind them!

Just the thought of it sent shivers down their spines.

”Mmph, mmph...”

”Don’t want to talk, huh? Your first chance is gone.”

Zhang Yun still had a tight grip on the injured guy, so the other man hastily yanked the glove out of his own mouth.

”I’ll talk! I’ll talk!”

”Speak!”

”We were just hired for a job. I don’t know who the client is. Our boss handled the contact and gave us the assignment. The client gave us the GPS location of the car outside, and we followed it all the way here.

”The target is a beautiful female CEO. The client wanted us to... wanted us to...”

Zhang Yun drove another fist into the man’s stomach. ”Do you want to skip straight to grinding your face against the glass?”

The man rolled on the ground, clutching his stomach in agony, and hurriedly begged, ”Stop hitting me... I’ll talk! They wanted us to make it look like an accidental death. Since this is the countryside, we figured we’d kill her first, then blow up the gas cylinder...”

Zhang Yun let go of him and yanked the glove out of the other man’s mouth.

”He’s telling the truth! That was our mission. We don’t have any personal grudge against her; we’re just lowly grunts working a job.”

Zhang Yun hadn’t expected them to give up the client’s name anyway. Based on what Ouyang Mingruo had said about Ouyang Chunqiu, a schemer like him definitely wouldn’t leave any loose ends.

”Where is your boss?”

”The boss didn’t come...”

”Right, the boss just gives orders. He never shows up in person. We just do the dirty work, please spare us!”

Zhang Yun sneered. ”You didn’t drive into the village. Are you telling me it’s just the two of you? No getaway driver?”

”Um... we parked our car on the road just outside the village.”

”There’s someone else in the car, isn’t there?” Zhang Yun glared at them. ”Don’t bother denying it! You two are completely incompetent; there has to be someone stronger backing you up!”

”Yes... Number Two is in the car.”

”Please let us go! We’ll leave right now and we swear we won’t try anything again!”

Zhang Yun delivered a swift punch to each of them, knocking both men out cold.

Although their assassination attempt had failed, their plan had been exceptionally malicious.

If Zhang Yun had been a normal person, Ouyang Mingruo would have been murdered in his home, and no amount of explaining could have cleared his name! Furthermore, a gas explosion would have buried him, his house, and anyone else inside alive, forcing them all to die alongside her!

However, it was only a plan. Since they hadn’t succeeded and could easily change their stories, relying on the law would be useless. He had to deal with them himself.

Grabbing one man in each hand, Zhang Yun hauled them out the door and dragged them toward the outskirts of the village.

About a hundred meters past the village entrance, a car was parked. There was one person inside, but instead of sitting in the driver’s seat, he was resting with his eyes closed in the back.

THUD!

Suddenly, a body slammed against the windshield. The heavy impact made the entire car shudder.

THUD!

Another body slammed against the windshield right next to the first one. The two men lay side-by-side, their faces squashed out of shape against the glass.

The man in the backseat quickly opened the door and stepped out.

”Number Two... be careful...”

”This guy... he’s got brute strength...”

The two men, who had been dragged over unconscious, were jolted awake by the painful impact against the car and frantically shouted a warning.

Number Two’s eyes were fixed entirely on Zhang Yun, ignoring his subordinates’ words. Did it even need to be said that the man who could toss two grown men onto a car hood had immense strength?

”Friend! Cutting off a man’s money is like murdering his parents. Are you sure you want to play the hero?” Number Two said coldly.

Zhang Yun scoffed. ”You try to murder my friend in my own house, planning to blow up my home afterward, and you say I’m cutting off your money?”

Number Two hadn’t known Zhang Yun’s identity. Hearing this, he realized reconciliation was impossible.

”So that’s how it is. In that case... go to hell!”

He swiftly drew a gun from his coat. At a distance of merely a few meters, he had guaranteed accuracy.

Zhang Yun chuckled. ”A gun? Is it real?”

”You’re about to find out!” Number Two flipped off the safety.

Zhang Yun gave an eerie smile. ”I can use Instant Teleportation. Watch me appear right behind you!”

Instant Teleportation? Number Two didn’t believe it for a second. Was he trying to distract him?

He remained unfazed, his finger already curled around the trigger, ready to fire.

But... the young man standing before him genuinely vanished!

Had he actually used Instant Teleportation to get behind him? Instant Teleportation was impossible, but if his speed was fast enough, he might be a blur in the darkness...
