Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

The person who came was none other than the master of Ah Da and others, Lord Wuxiang. It was unexpected that Lord Wuxiang would abandon the main force and arrive here alone.

At this moment, Zhao Ya was stunned; her eyes glanced subconsciously towards a small forest not far behind Lord Wuxiang, because Chen Jie was hiding there. It was an instinctive action.

Lord Wuxiang saw Zhao Ya, looked around, and saw only his three incompetent disciples, then spoke: ”Commandery Princess!”

”Why are you here alone?”

Upon hearing this, the Commandery Princess courteously greeted Lord Wuxiang directly: ”Master.”

Lord Wuxiang looked at her and said: ”This place in the Great Capital is chaotic with soldiers. What are you doing here, Commandery Princess? And you three incompetent ones, didn’t I ask you to take care of the Commandery Princess? Is this how you do it?”

Ah Da, Ah Er, and Ah San were taken aback, then all lowered their heads silently.

Zhao Ya spoke at this time: ”Master, don’t blame them. It was my desire to come to this place.”

Upon hearing this, Lord Wuxiang looked at Zhao Ya and said: ”Yaya, aren’t you being reckless? Do you not know that the Princely Heir is currently sending people worldwide to hunt you down, and yet you dare to stay here? Listen to me, leave quickly. In the Capital City, the Prime Minister Tuotuo is the person supporting the Princely Heir. Staying here is akin to entering the Tiger’s Mouth and is futile.”

”And you three incompetent ones, why didn’t you try to dissuade the Commandery Princess from coming to such a dangerous place!”

Lord Wuxiang reprimanded Ah Da, Ah Er, and Ah San.

Upon hearing this, the most straightforward Ah San could not bear it, and said to Lord Wuxiang: ”Master, don’t scold us anymore. We have protected the Commandery Princess all the way north, unlike you who directly leaned towards the Princely Heir, betrayed the Commandery Princess. Have you let the Prince down?”

Hmm!

Upon hearing Ah San’s words of ’filial piety’, Lord Wuxiang’s brows furrowed deeply.

However, Ah San was full of dissatisfaction, thinking that if the master’s behavior is improper, why would you expect the disciples not to criticize?

Lord Wuxiang’s eyes swept over the Commandery Princess again, seeing that her gaze was filled with scrutiny, Lord Wuxiang let out a sigh and said: ”Sigh~ I know you all look at me this way, but I am unashamed in my heart!”

”Master, speaking like this isn’t right. Betraying the lord for glory, yet unashamed?”

At this time, the always steady Ah Da also spoke to Lord Wuxiang. Lord Wuxiang said: ”Betraying the lord, fine, say I betrayed the lord, tell me how did I betray the lord?”

”You betrayed the Prince, doesn’t that count as betraying the lord?”

Ah Er spoke at this time, and at this moment, Lord Wuxiang’s three disciples officially began to challenge him. Lord Wuxiang was silent for a moment upon hearing this, then looked at them and said: ”Where did you see me betray the Prince?”

”You are loyal to the Princely Heir, isn’t that betrayal?”

The three looked at Lord Wuxiang, who laughed twice and said: ”What’s wrong with me being loyal to the Princely Heir? Something happened to the Prince, and the Princely Heir is the first heir, right? Moreover, the Princely Heir holds the Holy Decree from the court. Would I rather not trust the Holy Decree, and cause chaos like you?”

With this statement from Lord Wuxiang, Ah Da, Ah Er, and Ah San all fell silent. Yes, excluding personal feelings, Lord Wuxiang’s actions were entirely justified.

Sharlu is the Ruyang Prince’s heir, which is akin to a Crown Prince. The Crown Prince is the Empire’s successor, and the Princely Heir is the successor of a kingdom.

Now something happened to the Prince, pledging allegiance to the first heir has no problem, especially since he holds the Holy Decree from the court. Can you find a fault in that?

In terms of morality, Lord Wuxiang has no fault, the issue is only emotional.

Upon hearing Lord Wuxiang’s words, Zhao Ya spoke: ”Master, your words are correct. My older brother is indeed the Princely Heir, the heir to the prince rank. Master siding with the new Ruyang King has no issue.”

Lord Wuxiang sighed deeply, his demeanor softened as he said: ”Commandery Princess, I know you are angry, dissatisfied. Truly, it doesn’t sit well with me either, as I am the most loyal minister to the Prince.”

Upon hearing this, Ah San scoffed: ”Tch~”

He now very much dislikes his master’s hypocrisy; ever since the master chose to lean towards Sharlu, he has been contemptuous of his master.

Lord Wuxiang didn’t look at him, but continued: ”Commandery Princess, whether you believe it or not, I must speak my mind. Otherwise, it’s unbearable to suffer this false accusation.”

”The capture of the Prince happened too abruptly, and the Qincha Eight Guards took over Jiangnan too quickly. In that situation, if I didn’t pledge allegiance to the Princely Heir, I would have been fleeing like the Commandery Princess and the three Young Princes. Thus, the whole foundation of the Ruyang Royal Mansion, along with the White Deer Army, would become subject to the Princely Heir alone.”

”My thought is to stay. As long as I have a position within the White Deer Army, I can protect many elderly from the Prince Mansion and prevent their purge by the Princely Heir. This way, when the Prince returns one day, our Ruyang Royal Mansion won’t suffer a severe loss.”

”These are my thoughts. Perhaps the Commandery Princess won’t believe, but every word is from the heart.”

Having said this, Lord Wuxiang said: ”These words I have finished speaking, Commandery Princess, take my advice, leave the Great Capital quickly. Tuotuo has overwhelming power, backed by the Living Buddha’s support. We shouldn’t futilely challenge him.”

Zhao Ya said: ”Thank you for your concern, Master, but my father is imprisoned here in the Great Capital. I must save my father.”
