Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

The Emperor gently nodded and said, ”Zhao Daban.”

”Your Majesty.”

Mr. Zhao came over, and the Emperor said, ”See the Prince off.”

”Yes.”

”Prince, this way please! The Young Prince is waiting outside the palace.”

Upon hearing this, the Ruyang King walked straight out. Watching the Ruyang King leave, a person silently appeared beside the Emperor, who glanced at him and asked, ”Master, how did I do?”

The Living Buddha nodded and said, ”You did well.”

”Master, I still don’t understand, actually since the Ruyang King has already been tricked into the Imperial Palace, the Great Capital, why don’t we just keep him in the Great Capital and directly send Dharma Ba and others to Jiangnan to take over affairs? At worst, let Dharma Ba and them occupy half of Jiangnan, wouldn’t I be even more at ease?”

Indeed, Tuotuo’s commotion this time had some effect; it gave the Emperor a sense of crisis, because he suddenly realized that if all the Vassal Kings rebelled, he really wouldn’t have any good way to handle it, except relying on the Living Buddha, he had no other path.

Thus, he indeed felt a few notions of diminishing the power of the Vassal Kings.

However, this idea was quickly suppressed because it was not endorsed by the Living Buddha, who provided the reason that.

The Vassal Kings were already restless, if the Emperor acted recklessly at this time, the turmoil throughout the empire would be even more rampant, which would be greatly detrimental to them.

Therefore, the Ruyang King must be sent back. When he returns to Jiangnan, the kings there will behave, and since the Ruyang King and King Qi in the Northwest are mutually incompatible, sending him back will also divide the Vassal King’s forces, forming a north-south confrontation.

This greatly reduces the threat to the Great Capital.

Thirdly, the Ruyang King is truly loyal to the Daqian Royal Family, or else Tuotuo couldn’t have made him bind his own hands with just a word.

Such a capable, respectable, and loyal governor to the court is hard to find, and hence his role must be utilized.

The Living Buddha explained to the Emperor, who thought about it and said, ”Well, although I don’t understand these things, since Master said it, it certainly won’t harm me, I’ll do as Master says.”

Saying this, the Emperor looked at the Living Buddha and said, ”Master, do you have any other matters? If not, I’ll return to the rear palace...”

Old Hama is perceptive. Just as he took office as Prime Minister, he proposed selecting concubines, which hit the Emperor’s sweet spot. Our Emperor Shun has no other hobbies except for beauty, and he can never have enough love for beautiful women.

The Living Buddha worries about the Emperor’s health failing due to this, so within the Esoteric Buddhist Scripture, he found a Joyful Buddha Scripture for the Emperor, initially intended to balance yin with yang for a healthy body and longer life.

Unexpectedly, the Emperor saw it as an evil technique for enhancing yin with yang, demanding more in that aspect. A Buddhist Scripture was forcibly interpreted as evil cult skills by him.

The Living Buddha advised him a couple of times, but the Emperor didn’t care, so he could only give up.

Watching the Emperor return to the rear palace, the Living Buddha was also helpless, and due to the pact with Elder Zhang, he couldn’t leave the Great Capital City, trapped in the Great Buddha Temple.

Moreover, his body hadn’t matured, it was time for him to enter seclusion.

Thinking this, the Living Buddha looked up, and just then, a white Divine Eagle was flying in the sky, the Living Buddha lightly leapt and landed on the Eagle’s back, heading directly from the Imperial Palace to the Great Buddha Temple.

Meanwhile, people on the street had gradually come out, suddenly hearing an eagle’s cry, countless people looked to the sky and saw a white eagle carrying the Living Buddha directly towards the Great Buddha Temple.

Seeing this, the people quickly knelt down and followed with worship towards the direction of the Living Buddha.

”Living Buddha bless us, Living Buddha bless us!”

The Living Buddha looked at the people below, face neither joyous nor sad, akin to a temple’s Buddha statue.

Just like that, the Living Buddha flew directly to the Great Buddha Temple.

The Ruyang King just exiting the Imperial Palace also looked at the sky-bound Living Buddha, his gaze slightly tightening, as if being seen by the Living Buddha, who looked at the Ruyang King, at this moment he clasped his hands in a Buddhist salute.

The Living Buddha nodded slightly, and then disregarded him, heading directly towards the Great Buddha Temple.

Watching the Living Buddha leave, the Ruyang King withdrew his gaze, exited the Imperial Palace, and outside saw Wang Baobao already there with a group waiting.

Upon seeing the Ruyang King, Wang Baobao rushed directly to him.

”Father!”

Arriving, Wang Baobao knelt on one knee and called out to his father. The Ruyang King looked at Wang Baobao and said, ”Kuo Kuo, you’ve worked hard.”

Wang Baobao replied, ”To share Father’s worries is my greatest joy!”

Seeing Wang Baobao like this, the Ruyang King lifted him up and said, ”This period has been wronging you, Sharlu, that renegade son, hasn’t spared you some grievances!”

Sharlu was the Princely Heir of the Ruyang King, and this time after the Ruyang King was troubled, he really indulged in the role of Jiangnan Emperor, not only neglecting his father’s rescue but also eliminating loyalists to the Ruyang King in Jiangnan, capturing all of his faithful followers.

If Wang Baobao and Zhao Ya hadn’t fled swiftly, they might have ended as Sharlu’s prisoners.

Wang Baobao found it difficult to express some things, but the Ruyang King wasn’t foolish; he immediately understood the complications involved, therefore with a sweep of his sleeves said, ”Hmm, the rest goes unsaid, these things, we’ll deal with him later in Jiangnan.”
