Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Old Hama’s voice resounded deafeningly, saying: The Ruyang King is your house slave.

The shocking remark caused everyone present to stiffen, indeed, the Ruyang King is the victim, not only was his military authority stripped away by you but he was also confined in the Great Buddha Temple.

Having suffered such humiliation, the Ruyang King is already magnanimous for not kicking you when you’re down, and now you want him to help you against the vassals, turning him against his allied kings.

You’re just not treating the Ruyang King as a human.

Why would he help you, even if he helps you win, what benefits are there? Winning and letting you take away his military power, letting you successfully strip his vassalage?

You really are treating the Ruyang King as an idiot.

All court officials reacted, recognizing the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel’s words as sophistry, shaking their heads in secret, while the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel was left speechless by Old Hama’s remark, finally retorting after a long pause: ”He, he is not a loyal court minister? If he can’t even do this, what kind of loyal court minister is he!”

This remark was utterly shameless, everyone listening hissed through their teeth, that bastard’s mouth is truly vicious.

Thinking this, at this time, Old Hama faced the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel and said: ”Alright, if we’re judging loyalty, we must look at our Chief of Staff here, you’re treating the Ruyang King like a saint!”

”The Ruyang King is willing to come to the capital, which is already a huge respect for the Emperor, and you still want him to suppress the other kings, you’re really dreaming.”

”Fine, even if we step back ten thousand steps, if the Ruyang King truly was a saint willing to sacrifice everything for the court, in the end, who would benefit?”

”Of course, the current Majesty would benefit!”

The Minister of the Ministry of Personnel spoke up, hearing this, Old Hama laughed heartily and said: ”That the current Majesty would benefit, you’re bold to say that, let me ask you, even if the stripping of vassalages is successful, whose hands will the military power fall into, the Majesty’s? Majesty, do you care to manage this military defense across the regions?”

Upon hearing this, the Emperor remained silent, he has no time for managing these affairs, he’s busy with Immortal Cultivation and pursuing immortality, how could he have time to handle specific military matters?

Thus, the Emperor stayed silent, Old Hama said: ”Well then, the Majesty seems uninterested in handling these specific affairs, since the Majesty does not wish to manage, let me ask who among us wants to manage these specific affairs, to whose hands will the reclaimed military power fall?”

Upon hearing this, everyone couldn’t help but look towards Tuotuo, there’s no need to ask, in the end, this military power would definitely land in the hands of our Lord Prime Minister.

Thinking this, everyone looked towards Tuotuo, Tuotuo’s face turned ashen, he didn’t want these people looking at him like this, such gazes made him very passive, thinking this he gently coughed.

Then his top lackey, the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel spoke up: ”Old Hama, stop asking pointless questions, our current priority is not considering who will manage military power in the future, but finding a way to prevent the kings from rebelling against the court, making them willingly hand over their military power!”

Old Hama furrowed his brow upon hearing the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel’s words, this bastard was shifting the topic again, it must be said, the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel is a bit crafty, he really knows how to twist speech to his advantage.

Understanding this, Old Hama spoke: ”Ha, not discussing this, is it because you’re afraid to discuss? Once the court collects the military power, it will probably be handed to our Left Minister to oversee.”

”By then our Left Minister will have control over both the civil servants and military generals, with civil and military combined, will the world bear the surname Borjigit Clan or Meliqi Clan!”

Old Hama’s words silenced everyone in the court, Tuotuo clenched his fist, Old Hama’s words were incisive.

And the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel’s face turned pale, yet he angrily shouted: ”Old Hama, vile traitor, do not sow discord between the Majesty and Lord Prime Minister, you cannot succeed, you forget how you relied on your outsider status, bullied the Majesty, formed factions for personal gain, monopolized the court, if it weren’t for my Lord Prime Minister setting things right, you would have seized power by now!”

”I seize power, I’m the Majesty’s uncle! I monopolize the court on the orders of the Empress Dowager, after the Emperor took charge, I returned authority to the Majesty, and I have never sought the military power of the vassal kings.”

Thinking this, Old Hama knelt and said: ”Majesty, vassal kings stabilize the world, this is a rule set by the Grand Ancestor, firstly to prevent the Han people from rebelling at the time, secondly and most importantly, to prevent the emergence of powerful ministers within the court, overshadowing imperial power, and threatening the Borjigit Clan’s rule.”

”Majesty, wise and mighty, surely understands the reasoning within, please let the Majesty decide.”

Old Hama bowed his head to the Emperor, seeming relaxed, but in truth, he was forcing the Emperor to make a decision.

Seeing Old Hama like this, the Emperor’s expression was quite unpleasant.

Has the situation reached this stage already?

Emperor Qianshun, this current ruler, is not a muddled person, despite not attending court for over a decade, he clearly understands the interior affairs.

Tuotuo indeed went too far this time, even if he had an easy hand, he must handle it.

Moreover, this matter also involves the Eight Kings’ Biography, the Emperor heard the recent words of the Minister of the Ministry of Personnel; they were pure nonsense, the court proactively antagonizing the vassal kings, moreover initiating action, isn’t this madness?

Forcing people into rebellion?

Wow, yes, you, Minister of the Ministry of Personnel, no matter who becomes Emperor, you can hold office, but if someone else takes the throne, wouldn’t I become a dead man?
