The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

Cang Mountain Sect Chiyan Peak

A group of Outer Disciples and Direct Disciples of various Peak Masters crowded in front of a small house on Chiyan Peak.

Even though everyone was far from the small house, since Cang Mountain Sect is one of the Ten Great Sects in the Cultivation World, the disciples here, even if only Outer Disciples, are not inferior in cultivation to Direct Disciples of some small sects. Their vision is naturally good, so they can clearly see the environment around the small house even from a distance, including the little flower beside the house.

”Senior Sister Yu should come out at this time, why isn’t she here yet?”

”What’s wrong with Senior Sister Yu? Is she oversleeping again, or is she sick?”

Although they are all cultivators, who rarely get sick unless injured, these disciples can’t help but speculate wildly.

After a while, just when everyone thought Senior Sister Yu wouldn’t come out today, the door of the small house opened, and a woman in a pink dress, breathtakingly beautiful, walked out.

”Senior Sister Yu is out, Senior Sister Yu is out...”

Everyone excitedly whispered to each other.

”Senior Sister Yu looks even more beautiful today.”

”Senior Sister Yu looks good in pink, better than the blue dress she wore yesterday.”

”Senior Sister Yu’s skin looks even better.”

”Heavens, it seems Senior Sister Yu has slimmed down a bit more; that slender waist... I can’t take it, she’s too beautiful...”

”Even if Senior Sister Yu’s cultivation is weak, I can’t help but like her, she’s truly too pretty, too stunning, she truly deserves the title ’First Beauty of Dongchuan Continent’.”

”If we really compared, Senior Sister Yu would definitely be the most beautiful person across the four continents, West River Continent’s Biyao Fairy is no match for Senior Sister Yu.”

”Ah, Senior Sister Yu is looking over here, Senior Sister Yu looked at me, I can’t take it, I’m too nervous.”

The few disciples hiding behind the low shrubs saw that Senior Sister Yu glanced in their direction, breathing rapidly, their palms sweating in nervousness.

When everyone saw that Senior Sister Yu wasn’t paying too much attention to her surroundings but leisurely basked in the sun with squinted eyes, lazily stretched, then sat on the lounge chair to sip tea and eat fruits, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

”Do you think if I give Senior Sister Yu some Snow Lotus Fruits, she might smile at me?”

”I just got some Spiritual Tea; if I give it to Senior Sister Yu, might she talk to me a bit more?”

Questions like these passed among the many disciples.

Of course, Direct Disciples and Inner Sect Disciples certainly have more and better things than Outer Disciples, but Outer Disciples aren’t giving up.

They are trying all means to gain Senior Sister Yu’s attention.

Though such a beauty may not win her affection, her beauty is so striking it drives others to want to come closer, to seek moments alone with her, even if just momentarily, they’ll find contentment.

Such as Senior Sister Yu of Cang Mountain Sect.

She is so beautiful that even if she spends every day just indulging in pleasures and never seriously cultivates, the elders of the sect cannot bear to say a single reproachful word.

Her beauty is such that she merely has to frown and utter a wish, and disciples in the sect will go to any lengths to find it and present it to her.

Moreover, she is quite wealthy.

This Senior Sister Yu’s parents are both cultivators, elder-level members of Cang Mountain Sect, but several decades ago, after failing to break through their cultivation, they ventured out for training, only to meet danger and disappear.

Although her parents haven’t returned, they left Senior Sister Yu numerous Spirit Stones and cultivation resources before they departed.

Senior Sister Yu has a good family, decent talent, and is so stunningly beautiful that anyone who sees her refrains from criticism. Holding such a vast amount of resources, it’s safe to say Senior Sister Yu is destined to win without effort.

Disciples in the sect think that someone like Senior Sister Yu must be a favored child of the Heavenly Dao.

But actually, that’s not the case in the plot.

The current Senior Sister Yu has already become Anning.

To be honest, when Anning first became Senior Sister Yu, she was amazed by the face she saw in the mirror.

Anning barely remembers her original appearance, but she has lived as a beauty for many lives. However, it’s rare for someone as beautiful as Senior Sister Yu, even the disaster-causing Evil Concubine she once was couldn’t compare with Senior Sister Yu’s beauty.

Such beauty, not to mention the Mortal or Cultivation World, even immortals in the sky would find hard to come across; even perhaps that Moon Palace Fairy might barely match a little.

Facing such a face, Anning finds herself becoming more agreeable.

So when she knew Senior Sister Yu’s wish, Anning promised without hesitation.

When you think about it, this Senior Sister Yu at first glance seems like Heavenly Dao’s child.

But the truth is not that; Senior Sister Yu is merely a stepping stone to the real Heavenly Dao’s child, providing the protagonist with Golden Finger.

Soon enough, Senior Sister Yu’s beauty, her wealth of resources, and the affection of sect elders will all be taken by the protagonist.

And finally, Senior Sister Yu will become unbearably ugly, leading her to choose suicide.

To put it simply, it’s a story of a transmigration girl wielding a task system, causing havoc everywhere.

The protagonist, Gu Lingling, transmigrated to the Mortal World of Dongchuan Continent, into a rural family. She wasn’t pretty and had poor circumstances; not only was her family impoverished, but her parents were sexist, valuing sons over daughters, leading Gu Lingling to suffer considerably.

Luckily, not long after her transmigration, cultivators from the Cultivation World came to recruit disciples.

Gu Lingling’s talent was not impressive, just Three Spirit Roots, but barely qualified to be recruited as an Outer Disciple by Cang Mountain Sect.

As Gu Lingling, with astonishing determination, climbed the heavenly ladder to formally become a disciple of Cang Mountain Sect, the task system she brought absorbed enough power to awaken.

The task system naturally required Gu Lingling to complete tasks, her overall qualities would improve upon completion.

Besides talent, Gu Lingling also wanted to be very beautiful.

She set her sights on Senior Sister Yu, Dongchuan Continent’s first beauty; she wanted to become as beautiful as Senior Sister Yu.

Gu Lingling also harbored malice toward Senior Sister Yu, looking down on people like her, thinking Senior Sister Yu wasted her beauty by not cultivating properly, indulging in pleasures every day—an absolute disgrace. Such beauty was wasted on Senior Sister Yu.

Therefore, the system, adhering to Gu Lingling’s will, would absorb Senior Sister Yu’s Beauty Value every time Gu Lingling completed a task, becoming more beautiful accordingly.

Subsequently, as Gu Lingling became increasingly beautiful, Senior Sister Yu turned increasingly ugly. Due to the system’s influence, everyone assumed this was normal; no one questioned it, as if Gu Lingling was naturally born beautiful and Senior Sister Yu naturally lazy and ugly.

It can be said Gu Lingling and the system were like thieves, stealing Senior Sister Yu’s beauty, maliciously wreaking havoc on her, causing her finally to be despised by sect elders. Meanwhile, Gu Lingling, through the system, acquired all the cultivation resources left by Senior Sister Yu’s parents. After Senior Sister Yu’s death, Gu Lingling advanced on her cultivation path smoothly without obstacles, relying on her supreme beauty to win the love of many cultivation geniuses, leading them to live and die for her, undergoing hardships to obtain various Spirit Plants, Spiritual Medicines, and Spiritual Artifacts to present to Gu Lingling.

Ultimately, relying on these, Gu Lingling’s cultivation soared, and within a millennium, she ascended to the Upper Realm.

In short, Gu Lingling’s biggest cheat was the system, her second cheat was the beauty stolen from Senior Sister Yu, with Senior Sister Yu being a tragic stepping stone offering cheats.

Thinking over the plot again, along with Senior Sister Yu’s request, Anning couldn’t help but chuckle softly: ”System, doing tasks? Then let’s see whose tasks are done better.”
