Not Being a Trainer This Time

Naoki felt that this Farfetch’d would not give up, so this time he used up a whole basket of Berries in one go, directly making eight Berry Platters.

In the ranch, on the grass.

Eight Berry Platters were laid out in a line in front of Farfetch’d.

Farfetch’d looked serious and began to eat them vigorously one by one.

From the first platter, Farfetch’d forgot Cut.

Feeling the sensation of forgetting a move within its body, Farfetch’d widened its eyes in shock.

From the second platter, Farfetch’d learned Sand Attack.

Farfetch’d nearly choked in surprise.

Still unconvinced, it went straight to the next Berry Platter.

From the third platter, Farfetch’d forgot Iaido Slash.

The determined Farfetch’d: ”Quack!” (Again!)

It just wouldn’t believe it!

Yet when you’re unlucky, even drinking cold water can cause a toothache.

From the fourth platter, Farfetch’d forgot Sleep.

From the fifth platter, Farfetch’d forgot Sand Attack.

From the sixth platter, Farfetch’d forgot Aerial Ace.

From the seventh platter, Farfetch’d forgot Fury Cutter.

By this point, Farfetch’d had forgotten all its skills, and a stifling black aura surrounded it.

But Farfetch’d did not give up.

With a serious face and a belly as round as a ball, it staggered to the last Berry Platter.

Now, it had nothing left to lose!

”Quack!”

Farfetch’d let out a fearless shout and quickly pecked at the last Berry Platter.

When the last piece of Berry was swallowed.

Farfetch’d’s aura suddenly surged, its eyes became incredibly sharp, and then it brandished its leek, leaping into an intense battle dance.

That move was... Sword Dance!

After finishing the dance, Farfetch’d felt full of power throughout its body.

But its stretched belly made it feel incredibly uncomfortable.

In the end, the overly full Farfetch’d flopped onto the grass, its mind blank, staring weakly at the darkening sky, it murmured:

”Quack...”

At this moment, its view was suddenly blocked by a few heads.

Pawmot, Glaceon, Ogerpon, and other Pokemon had somehow gathered around, leaning over to look at this Farfetch’d with the immense appetite who ate nine Berry Platters in one sitting.

Alcremie: ”Murmur!” (It can eat so much! It ate so many Berry Platters in one go, even more than Dragonite!)

Glaceon: ”Eevee...” (It looks like it’s about to die...)

Upon hearing this, Ogerpon started to worry, reaching out its small hand to check Farfetch’d’s nostrils, finding it still breathing, it let out a sigh of relief, joyfully saying: ”Bonnie!” (It’s not dead yet!)

Farfetch’d felt lifeless and its eyes had already become vacant.

Naoki smiled as he approached, looking at this worked-up Farfetch’d, and asked, ”Do you feel alright?”

Farfetch’d did not respond.

Only then did Naoki begin to worry, he touched Farfetch’d’s now hard belly, wondering if it would be okay.

In this world, there have also been quite a few cases of Pokemon getting sick from overeating...

Naoki was very concerned, and there was no way to solve the problem of Pokemon eating too much here at the ranch.

He hurriedly took out Farfetch’d’s Poke Ball and recalled it, then rode Koraidon to the town’s Pokemon Center.

Upon hearing Farfetch’d had eaten nearly forty Berries in one sitting, Miss Joy was shocked.

”How did this happen?”

She looked worried, quickly having her assistant Pokemon, Indeedee, place Farfetch’d onto the ambulance, pushing it into the emergency room.

Naoki held Farfetch’d’s leek, feeling quite complicated.

This Farfetch’d... how could it be so silly?

He waited nearly an hour in the Pokemon Center, and then the emergency room door finally reopened.

Miss Joy came out, letting out a sigh of relief:

”It’s alright now, I just induced vomiting in Farfetch’d, and it has brought up the Berries it ate.”

Naoki immediately felt relieved.

Miss Joy asked, ”Mr. Naoki, is Farfetch’d a Pokemon you just caught?”

Naoki shook his head: ”No, it came to the ranch from elsewhere.”

”I see, no wonder there’s no such Pokemon as Farfetch’d in the Paldea Region,” Miss Joy realized: ”Oh right, Farfetch’d has woken up, you can go in and see it now!”

Naoki nodded and walked into the ward with Koraidon.

Farfetch’d was lying on the bed looking dazed, and when it heard the sound, it turned its head.

”Feeling better?” Naoki asked very apologetically: ”Sorry, it’s my fault, I shouldn’t have let you eat so many Berries at once.”

At that moment, his focus was entirely on the moves that Farfetch’d was about to learn, and he hadn’t noticed how much it was consuming.

Farfetch’d’s gaze cleared up, remembering how this human had brought it for treatment with a genuine concern, it was slightly moved internally, and then gently shook its head:

”Quack.” (It’s not your fault.) It was its own decision to eat.

Naoki handed over the leek: ”Your weapon, take it!”

Farfetch’d took the leek, instantly feeling a sense of security.

Having vomited for a long time earlier, Farfetch’d was now in a very weakened state.

Naoki wasn’t in a hurry to leave, so he simply stayed there with Farfetch’d.

He poured a cup of warm water for Farfetch’d and helped it drink:

”Don’t worry, let’s head back together later, I promise, I’ll find a way to help you relearn the moves you’ve forgotten.”
