Chapter 588: Chapter 327: Natural Energy and the Gigantamax Arboliva

League Year 199, March 8, Naoki successfully arrived in the Paldea Region.

Shortly after reaching home, Mayor Thomas came to visit the ranch.

Naoki hadn’t had time to greet all the Pokemon yet, and hurriedly went to welcome Mayor Thomas into the living room.

The elderly man, holding a cane, sat down on the sofa and asked kindly:

”Did the exchange go smoothly this time? I heard that tourism is very developed in Kitakami, attracting many tourists every year!”

On hearing this, Naoki was at a loss for words.

He shook his head and couldn’t help but sigh, ”Porto Marinada Town is still the best!”

”Hmm?” Mayor Thomas was quite surprised, ”Did something happen there?”

Naoki nodded and then briefly told Mayor Thomas what had happened to him in Kitakami.

Including the story of Ogerpon and the Loyal Three, and the mayor of Kitakami wanting to exploit the legend of the Loyal Three to boost tourism.

After listening to everything, Mayor Thomas looked astonished and murmured:

”How could it be like this...”

”But fortunately, I brought Ogerpon back, so it won’t have to suffer anymore.” As he spoke, Naoki took out Ogerpon’s Poke Ball.

With a flash of white light, Ogerpon appeared in the living room.

Seeing the unfamiliar surroundings and unknown humans, Ogerpon seemed a bit flustered and quickly covered its face with its small hands.

”Don’t be afraid, this is Mayor Thomas, and he won’t dislike you,” Naoki said.

”Bonnie...?” Only then did Ogerpon cautiously lift its head to look at the kind old man in front.

Mayor Thomas smiled and nodded at it, comforting:

”Relax, child, no one here will harm you, and you can come play in town anytime in the future. I’m sure everyone will love you.”

”Bonnie?” Ogerpon had never encountered such a thing and never been welcomed before.

Thus, upon hearing these words, its first reaction was disbelief, really?

Naoki nodded beside it: ”Of course it’s true, just like in Kitakami, Porto Marinada Town will also hold lively festivals, and we’ll go have fun then!”

”Bonnie!” Ogerpon looked forward eagerly.

Seeing this Pokemon’s look, Mayor Thomas couldn’t help but sigh, ”Poor child.”

Naoki took out Ogerpon’s four masks and asked: ”Ogerpon, do you want to continue wearing these masks?”

He knew that Ogerpon wore masks to conceal its true appearance so as to blend in with the villagers of Kitakami.

But everyone in Porto Marinada Town loves Pokemon, and Ogerpon is very cute; no one should dislike it.

Under these circumstances, it doesn’t need to wear masks to hide its face at all.

Thinking this, Naoki shared his thoughts with Ogerpon.

After listening, Ogerpon looked down at the masks, then at Mayor Thomas, and happily jumped twice: ”Bonnie!”

Naoki understood: ”Then I’ll help you put these four masks away.”

”Bonnie～”

Mayor Thomas had other town matters to attend to.

So, after visiting Naoki, Mayor Thomas left the ranch.

Only then did Naoki have the chance to release all the Pokemon.

He then called Alcremie and Glaceon to introduce them to Ogerpon.

Actually, Alcremie and Glaceon already knew.

Because they had just been hiding behind the sofa eavesdropping.

To this poor Pokemon, Alcremie couldn’t help empathizing, almost crying.

Glaceon beside it was also angry for Ogerpon.

Ogerpon stared blankly at the few Pokemon in front, then softly said, ”Bonnie～”

Naoki smiled, reaching out to pat Glaceon and Alcremie’s heads:

”Then, I’ll leave Ogerpon in your care! I have a little matter to handle, need to go to town.”

Alcremie immediately nodded and agreed, then took Ogerpon to tour the ranch.

The few Pokemon left.

Calyrex also sent Spectrier back to the stable, then teleported to the living room, gracefully sitting on the sofa and continuing to watch TV.

Dragonite ran out to water the fields. In its absence, those working Dragonite surely didn’t help water.

When it thought of this, Dragonite felt very proud; it is the most reliable and capable Dragonite, and Naoki’s favorite Dragonite!

Flutter Mane also drifted out, not sure what it was going to do.

Only Koraidon and Pawmot stayed in the living room, looking down at the Slugma slowly crawling on the floor.

”Come here, Slugma!” Naoki waved to Slugma from the fireplace, holding a Berry to lure it.

Slugma’s eyes fixed on the Berry, then slowly crawled over, into the fireplace.

Naoki fed it the Berry, seeing Slugma’s silly look, couldn’t help but smile.

”You can stay here for now! I’ll head to town later to find someone to make a nest for you.”

”Pawpaw!”

Pawmot squatted at the fireplace, happily watching Slugma inside.

This way, they now have a warm Slugma-Powered Home!

”Play with Slugma for a while, I’m heading out.” Naoki said to Pawmot.
