Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When Zhao Rong saw a parasite actually fly out of his mouth, he immediately clapped a hand over it and exclaimed in horror, ”Holy crap, are you kidding me? It looks like those parasites really did lay eggs in me...”

Before he could finish speaking, the primitives standing behind him immediately began to dig a grave. When the three women saw the primitives had already dug a grave with astonishing speed, they asked in utter surprise, ”What are you all doing? Why are you digging a grave out of the blue? Are you planning to bury some of your tribesmen who are about to die of old age?”

One of the primitives, leaning on his shovel, replied, ”When we die, we are given sky burials. We never dig pits or bury our dead. We’re digging this grave specifically for you modern people.”

Lili looked around, then asked the grave-digging primitives in astonishment, ”If you aren’t digging this for someone from your tribe, then who is it for?”

Before Lili could finish her question, the primitives stopped digging, stood up straight, and bowed to Zhao Rong. ”Parasites have already laid their eggs in Brother Zhao Rong’s body,” one said. ”Based on our experience, this brother won’t live for more than five minutes. The parasite eggs will hollow out his body, turning him into an empty shell before he dies a tragic death. So, this grave we’re digging is for this brother right here.”

When Zhao Rong heard that the grave was for him, he asked in disbelief, ”Holy crap, aren’t you guys being a little rude? I’ve heard of people digging a pit for someone to fall into, but I’ve never heard of anyone digging someone’s grave while they’re still standing right here!”

Before Zhao Rong could finish, his assistant rushed over and sent the primitives sprawling with a flying kick. ”You primitives are a bunch of jinxes! Total trash!” he cursed. ”Why the hell are you digging a grave for our Brother Zhao Rong? He’s a living, breathing person! Aren’t you just cursing him to die sooner?”

The primitives, looking very aggrieved as they picked themselves up, tried to explain. ”Brother, you don’t understand. We’re not digging a grave for Brother Zhao Rong for no reason. In our tribe, people are often bitten by these parasites, which then lay eggs inside their bodies. Once someone is infested, they will be eaten into an empty husk from the inside out and die in agony within five minutes. We’re not doing this without cause; we’ve seen this happen before.”

Hearing this, the assistant turned to look at Zhao Rong and was shocked to see that countless red spots had appeared all over his body.

In horror, the assistant stammered, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I think... I think it’s already been two minutes. Your body is covered in thousands of red, pimple-like spots. Brother Zhao Rong, this is bad! The eggs laid by those parasites must already be hollowing you out from the inside!”

Lili stepped forward, pulled a tube of ointment from her pocket, and began frantically rubbing it all over Zhao Rong’s skin. ”Brother Zhao Rong, don’t be afraid, you’ll be okay! I’m putting this Piyanping ointment on you. It’ll cure whatever this skin condition is!”

Yu Lan pulled out a set of cupping tools from her pocket and immediately began applying them to Zhao Rong’s skin to draw out the toxins. ”Don’t be afraid, Brother Zhao Rong, you’re not going to die! I’m using cupping therapy to draw the poison out of your body. Once the poison is gone, your immune system will kill off these parasites!”

Xuelian produced hundreds of silver needles from her pocket and began performing acupuncture on Zhao Rong’s pressure points. ”Brother Zhao Rong, don’t worry. I’m going to perform acupuncture on you according to the principles of the I Ching. It will make the parasites inside you collapse on their own and die a miserable death!”

With that, the three women threw all their efforts into helping Zhao Rong. However, despite the Piyanping ointment, the cupping therapy, and the acupuncture, the pustules on Zhao Rong’s body only grew more numerous, and he began to grow weaker and weaker.

Suddenly, tears streamed down Lili’s face. Feeling that Brother Zhao Rong wasn’t going to make it, she cried, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you have to hang on! I’m calling for an ambulance right now! We’ll get you to Xijing Hospital, the best hospital in all the five northwestern provinces! They’ll fix you up!”

Yu Lan, feeling as if she were about to be parted from him by death, declared, ”Brother Zhao Rong, if these parasite eggs consume your body, then I don’t want to live either! I’ll let them eat my body too, so I can join you in the underworld and become your wife!”

Xuelian, sobbing uncontrollably, pulled a white school uniform from her pocket and put it on. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I swear I’ll burn offerings for you on the seventh day and third anniversary of your death. After that, I’ll kill myself and join you in the netherworld.”

Hearing the three women’s words, Zhao Rong began to believe he was truly about to die. Just then, he pointed at a package falling from the sky. ”Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, don’t worry! I’ve already bought a super dewormer from the Paradise Shopping Cart! As long as I take this medicine, it’ll kill all these terrifying parasites inside me, and I’ll survive and be perfectly healthy!”

When the three women heard he had bought a super dewormer from the Paradise Shopping Cart, they immediately scrambled to pick up the fallen package. ”Brother Zhao Rong, what kind of dewormer did you buy? Hurry, take it out and let us see!”

Zhao Rong opened the package and took out the dewormer he had purchased from the Paradise Shopping Cart, and the sight of it shocked the three women so much they fell to the ground. They had expected him to pull out some sophisticated, highly valuable Western medicine pills. Instead, they were stunned to discover a small box inside the package.

And inside the box was a single, terrifying beetle.
