Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

At Xuelian’s words, several of the tribesmen immediately explained, ”You might not know this, beautiful lady, but this fungus that grows on the ground and looks like a voluptuous woman is extremely toxic. If someone mistakes it for a beautiful woman and embraces it, their entire body will rot, and they will die instantly.”

Hearing the tribesmen’s explanation, a chill ran down Xuelian’s spine. She took a mannequin from her Magic Ring and threw it at the mushroom on the ground, wanting to test its toxicity. ”Could the poison from this ’beauty mushroom’ really cause a person’s entire body to rot and die?”

However, before she could even finish her sentence, the mannequin began to corrode the instant it touched the mushroom. It started to rot all over, degenerating bit by bit until it dissolved into a pile of pus and completely disappeared.

Seeing the mushroom’s toxicity, Xuelian’s hair stood on end. She immediately rushed over to scold her assistant. ”You! You’re incorrigible and reckless with your lust!” she snapped. ”If these tribesmen hadn’t stopped you just now, your own perverted mind would have gotten you killed!”

The assistant swallowed hard, thoroughly terrified. ”Luckily, those tribesmen stopped me,” he said. ”Otherwise, I would have ended up just like that mannequin—rotting into a pile of pus, seeping into the ground, and vanishing without a trace.”

Lili stepped forward and rebuked him. ”Assistant, can you please get your desires under control? Can you stop thinking with your lower half everywhere you go? Did it not occur to you that it’s impossible for a voluptuous woman to be lying on the ground in the middle of the Primeval Forest? It’s obviously a trap, not a genuine temptation!”

Hearing Lili, the assistant nodded and admitted his mistake. ”Miss Lili, I get it now. Lust is a blade hanging over your head. If you don’t control your desires, a woman will be the death of you one day.”

Yu Lan came forward and berated him. ”Assistant, you’re really something else. The three of us saw a little white rabbit, a handsome man’s face, and a beautiful flower. But you? You saw a voluptuous woman lying on the ground. You’re just too shameless!”

But before the women could finish, Zhao Rong suddenly spotted a beautiful young woman not far away, bound hand and foot and hanging from a tall tree.

Seeing the bound and barely breathing girl, Zhao Rong was overcome with compassion. He started running forward, drawing the Damo Sword from his Magic Ring as he yelled, ”Don’t be afraid, miss! I’m coming to save you!”

But before he could finish, several tribesmen rushed over with vines. They quickly entangled Zhao Rong, pulled him back, and cried out in alarm, ”Zhao Rong, we know you’re a kind and merciful person. We also know that heroes like you enjoy rescuing damsels in distress.

”However, that girl in the tree isn’t human! It’s something very dangerous.

”If you go to save it, you’ll likely have parasite eggs laid inside your body.

”One day, those eggs will hatch and break out, devouring you from the inside out... You’ll die an excruciating death!”

After hearing what the tribesmen said, Zhao Rong instantly felt itchy all over. ”My god,” he muttered, ”I can’t believe the girl in the tree isn’t human, but some kind of egg-laying alien monster...”

The tribesmen corrected him. ”Zhao Rong, it isn’t an alien monster. It’s a type of parasite from this forest.”

When Zhao Rong heard that the beautiful girl was actually a parasite, he was in complete disbelief. ”You guys... you aren’t pulling my leg, are you? How can a girl that beautiful be a parasite? That completely defies the laws of nature, physics, and... everything!”

However, before Zhao Rong could finish, the beautiful girl suddenly disintegrated. The girl, it turned out, was composed of thousands upon thousands of intertwined parasites.

As the parasites flew away, the three women exclaimed in terror, ”My god, this prehistoric world is full of illusions! It’s truly mind-boggling...”

Lili added thoughtfully, ”People always say that seeing is believing, but in this prehistoric world, you can’t even trust your own eyes.”

Yu Lan, particularly worried for Zhao Rong’s safety, said, ”Thank goodness those tribesmen stopped him with the vines.

”If Zhao Rong had rushed over to save that girl, those parasites would have definitely bitten him and laid their eggs inside his body.

”His entire body would have become their food!

”Before long, they would have eaten him from the inside out, leaving nothing but an empty shell of skin. What a gruesome way to die...”

Xuelian stepped forward to check Zhao Rong’s body and said in horror, ”Zhao Rong, we need to check you for their eggs right now!”

Before she could finish, she spotted a raised, red bump on Zhao Rong’s chest. Touching it, she said in extreme fear, ”Zhao Rong, this is bad! You must have been implanted with their eggs! There’s a red bump on your chest... This has to be the mark they left behind!”

But before she could finish, Zhao Rong touched the red bump and scoffed, ”Xuelian, you’re mistaken. It’s just a pimple. Perfectly normal.”

However, before he could finish speaking, Zhao Rong felt a sudden tickle in his throat. He opened his mouth, and a parasite flew out.

When Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and the assistant saw the parasite fly out of Zhao Rong’s mouth, they were so frightened they collapsed to the ground. ”Zhao Rong!” they screamed in terror. ”You really have been implanted with their eggs!”
