Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

With the help of his aide and the three women, Zhao Rong’s team took down the two magical beasts, knocking them to the ground.

While tying up the two subdued Komodo dragon magical beasts, Lili looked at Zhao Rong in surprise. ”Zhao Rong,” she asked, ”I’ve always known you to be invincible, victorious in every battle. Why did you seem so overwhelmed today, facing these two small Komodo dragons?”

Yu Lan wrapped duct tape around the mouths of the two magical beasts and asked Zhao Rong, ”Zhao Rong, you seem exhausted today. Why weren’t you using your full power against those magical beasts?”

Xuelian found some hemp rope and trussed up the two Komodo dragon magical beasts. Looking at Zhao Rong, she asked, ”Zhao Rong, are you feeling unwell? Otherwise, you would have killed these magical beasts in an instant.”

Hearing their concerned questions, Zhao Rong suddenly staggered back, clutching his chest. ”I don’t know what’s wrong,” he said, his voice strained. ”My combat power has drastically decreased. I can’t summon my strength, and most importantly, I can’t concentrate. I can barely see the magical beasts moving.”

Hearing that Zhao Rong wasn’t in good shape, his aide said worriedly, ”Zhao Rong, if we’d known you weren’t in top condition, we would have waited a few days before following this terminator robot to find the mastermind. If we find the big boss today, what are we supposed to do? You’re in no condition to fight, and your combat power has dropped significantly. There’s no way you can defeat the ultimate boss, let alone capture him!”

Lili was also extremely worried. She scanned their surroundings vigilantly and said, ”I hope those villains don’t show up now. If they all appear while our team’s backbone, Zhao Rong, is unwell, how will we possibly fight them?”

Seeing how weak Zhao Rong looked, Yu Lan’s face filled with alarm. ”Zhao Rong, you have to recover your strength quickly!” she urged. ”Otherwise, what will we do if we run into the enemy? You’re the main fighter on our team! The aide is just a supporting character, and we three are just here for backup. You need to take an elixir right now and get your strength back!”

Xuelian was even more direct. She pulled several energy drinks from her pocket and offered them to him. ”Zhao Rong, I’ve got Red Bull, Black Card Six Hours, Ice Bull, and Lehu. See which one you think will boost your stamina and combat power, and just drink it.”

Before the three women could finish, Zhao Rong abruptly collapsed to the ground, clutching his chest as he started to cough. ”It seems...” he wheezed, ”I exhausted too much Inner Strength fighting those two Komodo dragon magical beasts. That’s why I’m so weak...”

Suddenly, before Zhao Rong could finish, a large, bearded man burst through the adjacent wall. Flanked by five subordinates, he looked at Zhao Rong’s group and roared with laughter. ”Zhao Rong! Everyone says your Martial Arts are unmatched and that no one in this world can defeat you... But I, the Headmaster of the Magic Academy, am smarter than that. I chose not to fight you head-on, but to wait until you were at your weakest. I refuse to believe I can’t defeat you now!”

With that, the Headmaster of the Magic Academy let out a bout of arrogant laughter.

The five lackeys standing behind him chimed in, fawning over him. ”Headmaster, your wisdom is truly profound! To choose the precise moment when Zhao Rong is at his weakest and unable to use his Inner Strength... Now, you can kill this enfeebled man with a single blow!”

When the three women and the aide saw that the Headmaster of the Magic Academy was indeed the mastermind, they exclaimed, ”We never thought you were the real villain behind all this! It must have been you who stole our DNA sequences and genetic maps to create those clones to attack us!”

Lili turned to Zhao Rong, complaining, ”Zhao Rong, I told you! I told you the Headmaster of the Magic Academy was a major villain, a mastermind lurking right under our noses! But you wouldn’t believe me. You even said he was a good person. Well, look at him now! Now that he’s shown his true colors, I hope you finally believe what I was telling you!”

Yu Lan sighed in despair. ”Zhao Rong, you’re usually so brilliant, but you were so foolish this one time. How could you misjudge the enemy at such a critical moment? This is a disastrous mistake. A single misstep could lead to eternal regret.”

Xuelian lamented, ”If Zhao Rong had made the right call back then, we would have already eliminated this Headmaster and claimed victory. But now, he has judged wrong. What’s more, he’s suffered internal injuries and his Inner Strength is depleted. In this situation, how can we possibly deal with this monster, the Headmaster of the Magic Academy?”

Hearing the three women, the Headmaster of the Magic Academy roared with laughter again. ”Zhao Rong, just give up!” he crowed arrogantly. ”It’s your own fault for falling into the hands of someone as brilliant and charming as I, the Headmaster of the Magic Academy! You’re dead today, so just surrender!”

With that, the Headmaster began to gloat silently.

Zhao Rong, you’re on the brink of death, and you have no one to blame but your own idiotic, foolish self. You misjudged me from the very beginning. You thought I was a good person, but I’m the villain. You thought I wasn’t the mastermind, but I am! And I’ve seized the perfect opportunity, appearing just after you were injured to finish you off. My timing is perfect!

However, before the Headmaster could finish his silent gloating, Zhao Rong suddenly stood up. He stood tall and straight, brimming with energy.

”It’s true what they say: as the devil grows one foot, the Dao grows ten. The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind it,” he declared, his voice powerful and clear. ”In truth, I knew you were the mastermind all along. From the very beginning, I only pretended to be oblivious to lure you into my trap. I feigned a grievous injury to my Inner Strength, pretended to be weak, and acted as if I couldn’t fight, all for the sake of drawing you, the real mastermind, out into the open. I never imagined, however, that such a simple trick would fool you so completely. Now, Headmaster of the Magic Academy, prepare to die!”
