Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When Zhao Rong saw that the avatar flying overhead had spotted them, he immediately urged everyone to run. ”Oh no, the avatar found us! Follow me, let’s get out of here!” With that, he led the group out from their hiding spot beneath the leaves. The moment they were clear, the avatar unleashed a laser beam that incinerated the spot they had just occupied, turning it into scorched earth.

It all happened in an instant. Zhao Rong pulled a grenade from his pocket and hurled it at the avatar. Seeing him try to take down the flying enemy with a simple grenade, the three women with him were skeptical. ”Brother Zhao Rong, the assistant’s arrows were all shot down by the avatar. How could a single grenade possibly do anything to it?”

But just as they voiced their doubts, a massive explosion rocked the sky, followed by a rising mushroom cloud. The once-arrogant avatar was instantly obliterated, its remains vanishing into thin air.

When the three women saw that Zhao Rong had actually destroyed the technologically superior avatar with a single grenade, they asked in utter bewilderment, ”Brother Zhao Rong, that’s incredible! How could your grenade be so powerful?”

Zhao Rong smiled. ”Actually, what I threw wasn’t a grenade. It was a miniature atomic bomb.”

Hearing that the weapon wasn’t a grenade but an atomic bomb, the three women collapsed to the ground in shock.

Lili scrambled up, her face a mask of disbelief. ”Brother Zhao Rong, are you joking? An atomic bomb? That’s a nuclear weapon! If one of those exploded, it wouldn’t just kill the avatar, it would annihilate every living thing within a hundred-mile radius! But after that explosion, not only are we fine, the forest around us is completely untouched...”

Zhao Rong looked at the curious Lili and explained, ”Miss Lili, I already told you. What I threw wasn’t a grenade, but a portable, miniature atomic bomb.”

Stepping forward, the equally curious Yu Lan asked about the grenade-sized device, ”Brother Zhao Rong, where did you get a portable miniature atomic bomb? Even if it’s not as powerful as a real one, it was clearly more than enough to kill that avatar.”

Zhao Rong took out his phone and pointed to an app called the Paradise Shopping Cart. ”Where else?” he said to Yu Lan. ”I bought it from there, a website where only deities can shop. It’s my secret weapon for dealing with avatars.”

Now Xue Lianmei grew curious about how to use the device and stay safe. She asked Zhao Rong, ”Brother Zhao Rong, if you gave me a grenade, I could easily use it to kill a bad guy. But if you gave me a portable miniature atomic bomb, I wouldn’t have a clue what to do. Could you teach us?”

Hearing that Xue Lianmei wanted to learn, Zhao Rong immediately took another portable miniature atomic bomb from his pocket and handed it to her. ”Xue Lianmei, using this is very simple,” he explained. ”See this red button? When you want to use it, just press this red button, and then press the green button right next to it. When you’re ready to fire, just aim the device at the bad guy you want to attack. It will automatically track them and detonate when it gets close.”

After hearing the clear instructions, Xue Lianmei grew concerned about safety. She asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, we all know atomic bombs produce radiation, and the blast radius is huge. So how do we protect ourselves?”

Zhao Rong smiled. ”Xue Lianmei, like I said, this portable miniature atomic bomb is intelligent. Once it identifies a bad guy, it doesn’t matter how close a good person is. When it detonates, it will contain its explosive yield and prevent any radiation from leaking, so it won’t harm good people. It will only harm the bad guy. Understand?”

When Xue Lianmei heard how intelligent, high-tech, and user-friendly the bomb was, she eagerly took one from Zhao Rong. Aiming it at a wild boar in the distance, she said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I want to try using this self-protecting bomb right now!”

Zhao Rong nodded, handing her the device. ”Xue Lianmei, just use it the way I taught you. It’s completely safe.”

Following Zhao Rong’s instructions, Xue Lianmei immediately pressed the red button on the bomb in her hand. Then, aiming it at the tusked wild boar, she pressed the green button.

The moment she threw the portable miniature atomic bomb, an explosion erupted. The blast launched the ten avatars hiding behind the wild boar into the sky, dismembering them instantly and turning them to dust that rained down from above.

When Zhao Rong saw that Xue Lianmei’s bomb had not only killed the boar but also the ten avatars concealed behind it, he looked at her with newfound respect. ”Xue Lianmei, you’re incredible! Isn’t that the legendary tactic of misdirection?”

Seeing that she had managed to eliminate ten avatars through a sheer stroke of luck, Xue Lianmei herself was speechless.
