Reborn As Super Heiress

Capítulo 1935: Chapter 1838: All Familiar Faces

The box is close to the auction hall on this side, featuring a floor-to-ceiling window and a small balcony draped with thin sheer curtains. Through the curtains, one can directly see the situation in the auction hall below, especially the auction stage directly in front; a glance downward reveals everything clearly.

On the auction stage, there is a wooden table over an adult’s waist height. The auctioneer, wearing white gloves, is already getting ready, just waiting for the auction to be officially announced so they can immediately enter a state of battle readiness.

To the auctioneer, this is a tough battle because before the auction begins, the auctioneers are always asked in advance about the minimum estimated auction value of each item. If the final sale price exceeds this estimate, the auctioneer can receive a commission on the excess, though the exact percentage of the commission remains unknown to outsiders.

It can be imagined that with this as a motivation, the auctioneers would of course go to great lengths to enhance and elevate the atmosphere, pushing up the auction items’ price, and even hoping that the final sale price is as high as possible so that their commission becomes more substantial.

The organizers of the auction have prepared a bunch of coded cards for today’s bidders to choose from, usually granting the privilege of priority selection to those who are spending more, have a good reputation, or enjoy some prestige internationally.

However, Huo Sining and they do not need to worry about this aspect because Clayflo had already prepared a card for them when they came.

Perhaps understanding the customs of the Huaxia people, Clayflo’s action principles in this aspect are extremely thoughtful and gentlemanly, not only preparing a number card for Huo Sining and them but having prepared the lucky number eighty-eight.

Seeing this number card, even though Su Qingqing and the others still hold a great deal of prejudice against Clayflo, their irritation has calmed down a lot. At least in these details, Clayflo indeed leaves no room for critique, and everyone in the room was soothed by this little warm detail.

Several old men also nodded repeatedly toward Clayflo, looking very satisfied with this foreign white man’s arrangements.

Huo Sining secretly chuckled inside, thinking, you all change sides too easily, just wait until this guy gives you a severe beating, let’s see if you can still find room to flatter him then.

Due to Clayflo’s arrangements, Huo Sining and they entered the auction hall early, with ten minutes left before the official opening. Huo Sining thought for a moment and took out a booklet she had organized.

This was something Huo Sining had clipped and reorganized from the previous black market auction’s item information and printed out. These data were on those Huaxia antiques displayed in the Black Market Building that Huo Sining deemed worthwhile to bid on, and she had also authenticated each one, confirming they were genuine.

However, although there were quite a few items, not every one could be bid on, and compared to the Beast Head, the urge in Huo Sining’s heart to possess these items was not as intense. If the auction price of these items were lower than the market price, Huo Sining would, of course, buy them without hesitation.

But Huo Sining was very clear in her mind, given Clayflo’s style and the methods of the Rothschild Family, they definitely wouldn’t let those attending the auction take advantage of them, so the final bidding prices of these items are sure to be steep. In such circumstances, the possibility of picking up a bargain is minimal.

Because of this, Huo Sining needed even more to consider a reasonable battle plan. She hoped that these authoritative old men could appraise the market value of the Huaxia antiques she had selected, and then she would bid according to this valuation.

Anyway, she didn’t plan on buying all the Huaxia antiques, getting one or two would already make her very happy. As long as the bidding prices exceed their estimated market values, she would abandon them as soon as possible, without any additional entanglements.

This way, she could also save a little money and direct all her resources toward the grand finale of the two Beast Heads.

As soon as Huo Sining made this decision, it immediately received the support of the four authoritative elders present. Their main purpose for this trip was precisely the climax, the Beast Heads; as for the other items, although they wouldn’t mind owning them, they pale in comparison to the Beast Heads.

The few elders bent their heads to look at the information in Huo Sining’s hand, discussing among themselves and writing a market price under each item, and based on the historical research value and appreciation potential, they estimated a fluctuating bidding price.

By this time, the seats in the auction hall below were all filled with people, and even the VIP boxes on either side and above where Huo Sining and they were had gradually filled with attendees.

Huo Sining scanned the auction venue below. With her keen eyes, she quickly spotted Fujiwara Seiho among the six hundred seats.

Fujiwara Seiho was sitting at a more rearward position, accompanied by a few people. Earlier on the car, when they merely brushed past, and the car was moving quickly, Huo Sining didn’t clearly see who was with Fujiwara Seiho. But looking closely now, Huo Sining was left speechless.

The reason being none other than the fact that those beside Fujiwara Seiho were all people she knew.

Beside Fujiwara Seiho, there were two people seated. On the left was the grandson and granddaughter of Liang Pengzhi, Liang Jinhong, and Liang Junqi, while on the right was Manager Lu from Yin Yizhai, Lu Huairu, and Zhou Zhen from Zhou’s Jewelry.

These people were all mixed up with Fujiwara Seiho, which left Huo Sining shocked but also completely puzzled.

Zhou Zhen was not surprising. Earlier, during Huo Sining’s participation in the Douyu Tournament, she had seen Zhou Zhen in good terms with Hattori Masano. Since Hattori Masano and Hattori Keiko are under Fujiwara Seiho’s influence, Zhou Zhen being associated with Fujiwara Seiho came as no surprise to Huo Sining.

Liang Jinghong had also once been friendly with Watanabe Yasu, and had even taken Watanabe Yasu to participate in domestic auctions, hence the Liang siblings connecting with the Fujiwara line was also not unexpected to Huo Sining.

But Lu Huairu was different. Huo Sining distinctly remembered that earlier, she had inadvertently followed Lu Huairu into an ancient temple with Qibao. It was in that ancient temple that the Jiaoren blood in Huo Sining’s body fully awakened and during which she discovered Lu Huairu’s secret.

On the surface, a seemingly modest and inconspicuous old man, not only is he an appraiser for Yin Yizhai, but also a Taoist who had even spied on secrets concerning the Jiaoren, and at a point harbored malicious intentions, contemplating capturing her and Qibao for the concoction of elixirs.
