Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1926: Chapter 1829: There Really Is a Diamond

Su Qingqing and the others hesitantly looked at Huo Sining: ”Are you sure about this?”

Huo Sining replied irritably: ”Enough chit-chat, weren’t you the one urging to start digging earlier? Hurry up and get to it, dig at least two meters deep.”

Gu Xu nodded, rolled up his sleeves, and began to dig. The others, seeing this, also picked up their hoes and started digging.

Huo Sining didn’t say much, just directed everyone to dig deeper. Gu Xu and Li Jun were strong men, so digging a pit was no problem for them. But Su Qingqing, Yue Shuwen, and Zhong Xiaoyao, the three girls, soon complained that their hands hurt and refused to continue.

After digging for about half an hour, Huo Sining suddenly shouted, ”Stop!”

The two men paused, and Huo Sining quickly squatted down, scraping at the soil in the pit. As she scraped, a shiny, roughly peanut-sized, irregularly shaped diamond appeared before everyone’s eyes.

”Wow, it’s really a diamond!”

Li Jun dropped his hoe and rushed over. Seeing clearly that what Huo Sining held was indeed a diamond, he was utterly stunned.

He previously thought this was just a fake hype by the park’s owner, but it turned out to be real. The diamond in Huo Sining’s hand still had yellow soil on it but refracted colorful light as she rotated it, unmistakably identifying it as a diamond.

”Let me have a look, let me have a look!” Su Qingqing, looking excited, grabbed the diamond and examined it closely. After a while, she couldn’t help but ask, ”Is it worth a lot?”

Huo Sining nodded: ”This diamond has a bit of pink in it, and its brightness and quality are quite decent. Right now, it might not look pretty, but once cut, it’ll have multiple facets and appear very dazzling. That’s the charm of finished diamonds. Colored diamonds are expensive; this diamond is about three carats, and once processed, its market value should be around eighty to a hundred thousand.”

”Only eighty to a hundred thousand?” Upon hearing this price, Su Qingqing and the others instantly drooped their heads, seemingly disappointed.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh, ”What’s wrong with being disappointed? This is found treasure; paying only ten US Dollars for a ticket can get you such a diamond! Many people come to this park searching for gold, and it’s only occasionally that someone finds a diamond!”

And ”only eighty to a hundred thousand”? You’re unimpressed by such a beautiful diamond. Do you think high-grade diamonds are like cabbages in the market, found everywhere for you to pick up?

Huo Sining was speechless. It seemed that being with her for a long time had made these people picky and demanding. Having seen her extravagant spending, even this eighty to a hundred thousand colored diamond seemed unimpressive to them.

After the surprise, Li Jun quickly regained his composure, disdainfully glanced at the diamond in Huo Sining’s hand, and said, ”Such a small diamond, is it worth my effort to dig tirelessly? If you want to exchange this for the twelve zodiac beast heads, you’d be busy forever. How many diamonds like this would you need to trade for the dragon-headed rat head?”

Huo Sining didn’t mind. In fact, in this very area she had just scouted; she already found a very beautiful large diamond. But she feared that digging up such a large diamond right away might scare Li Jun, causing him to be suspicious, which wouldn’t be pleasant.

Moreover, through her recent survey, she was quite sure this area was indeed a diamond deposit. Because when Huo Sining scanned it with her Heavenly Eye, she found many scattered tiny diamonds, likely fragmented by volcanic eruptions and dispersed in the soil.

These diamonds are not very valuable, and most are so small they’re hard to discern. But if Huo Sining had enough time, she could collect all these diamond fragments and have Qibao repair them into large diamonds.

However, given the current situation, such an idea was clearly impossible. Huo Sining could only pick larger diamonds among these fragments to maximize the profit.

Still, seeing the situation beneath the yellow soil made Huo Sining quite excited.

Unexpectedly, although Su Qingqing was usually unreliable, this time she gave a good suggestion. After just a small area, Huo Sining found a big diamond. If they search the entire park, finding a hundred or so large diamonds wouldn’t be a problem.

With this thought, Huo Sining wasted no time. She cheerfully grabbed the small pink diamond, took a dark cloth bag from her backpack, put the diamond inside, and placed it back in the backpack.

”Anyway, this diamond has at least covered our airfare and ticket costs for this trip. Let’s keep trying; maybe soon we’ll find a big diamond that could cover the cost of the six-character Yongzheng period tea leaf glaze bottle!”

After finding two more pink diamonds about the same size as the previous one, Huo Sining shifted her focus to the large diamond. She winked at Gu Xu, who immediately understood and intentionally squatted down to rest.

Li Jun, having grown impatient, began to wander around the park like a headless fly, despite finding diamonds. But these were all small fragments, and to Li Jun, they were not worth much, especially when compared to the antiques Huo Sining aimed to buy.

”All these small diamonds, is the park only filled with such fragments, and the large ones have already been mined?”

Li Jun was starting to lose patience, carrying his hoe, wandering aimlessly through the park.

After Huo Sining directed him to find diamonds, Li Jun started doubting if the park had been reformed, scattering tiny diamonds everywhere, leading him to believe he could casually find a spot and dig to try his luck.

Seeing Li Jun’s expression, Huo Sining knew what he was thinking and smiled: ”Alright then, Li Jun, you team up with Qingqing and Shuwen. I’ll be with Gu Xu, Xiaoyao, and Qibao, and we’ll split up.”

Li Jun nodded, waved, and prepared to dig with Yue Shuwen and Su Qingqing in a different area. Huo Sining signaled Zhong Xiaoyao and Qibao, and they headed to the spot where she had seen the large diamond earlier.
