Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1933: Chapter 1836: Personally Coming to Pick Up

After listening to Clayflo’s explanation, Huo Sining realized she had misunderstood, and her face flushed red instantly, with the back of her ears burning:

”I’m sorry, Mr. Duke, I misunderstood you. Those words were a bit harsh, and I hope you won’t mind.”

Clayflo didn’t seem to care: ”It’s not a big deal. I’m only protecting my high-quality clientele. You should know, Miss Huo, that you’re participating in the upcoming black market auction. If anything happens to you on my turf, it wouldn’t be very pleasant. So, if you really want to count, I’m still looking out for my own interests. Miss Huo, you needn’t be too polite. If there’s anything you need help with, just ask. If I can do it, I certainly won’t refuse.”

Huo Sining immediately laughed, suddenly realizing that now she was the lamb waiting to be slaughtered by the man in front of her. So it’s only natural for him to ensure her safety. Thinking this way, Huo Sining no longer hesitated and gracefully said:

”Since you put it that way, Mr. Duke, I won’t hesitate. Actually, the reason I called you is to ask for a favor.”

Huo Sining was so direct that Clayflo was taken aback, but his usual poise didn’t allow him to refuse, so he merely smiled and said, ”Please, go ahead.”

Huo Sining laughed and said: ”Here’s the thing, I went to Oregon a couple of days ago, and while I was away from Philadelphia, suddenly four elders from my hometown, yes, Huaxia Country, came over. Upon hearing that your black market auction has two major Huaxia antiques, they took it very seriously and flew over the next day just to attend your auction.”

”Only I know the rules of your auction. Even the inviter is allowed to bring at most two companions. My companions were arranged by Emperor to find someone to take in, and now suddenly four more have come. I’m at a loss right now.”

”So I wanted to ask if you could help me let in a few more people?”

Clayflo initially thought Huo Sining might propose some excessive requests, but it turned out to be just this, and he instantly laughed:

”Miss Huo, rules are rigid, but people are flexible. Although we met through some conflicts, we do have a connection. I consider Miss Huo a friend; your elders are my elders. Bringing a few seniors to the auction venue is hardly a challenge. Just bring them along; I’ll personally escort them inside!”

Even with Clayflo being so courteous, Huo Sining felt a bit embarrassed: ”There’s no need, just instruct your staff to give me four more entry slots when I bring my companions inside. No need to trouble yourself with this, Mr. Duke. You’re busy with significant matters, and my small request shouldn’t require your personal attention.”

Clayflo responded softly: ”It seems Miss Huo hasn’t regarded me as a friend. I genuinely admire your courage and character and sincerely wish to be friends with you.”

Huo Sining paused in her tone, thinking to herself, if you truly treated me as a friend, why would you exploit me like this? Who would believe it?

But since the other party said so, Huo Sining couldn’t openly confront him, and she could only laugh awkwardly and say: ”Why would you say that? Being friends with Mr. Duke is a blessing from my past life’s virtues; I’m delighted, and wouldn’t resist.”

Clayflo said: ”Since that’s the case, Miss Huo, don’t refuse this arrangement. There’s over forty minutes before the event starts; I’ll send people to the hotel to pick you up. At that time, you won’t need to enter through the main entrance; my men will take you to the private elevator, where I’ll be waiting.”

Huo Sining: ”...”

When Huo Sining and her group tidied up and went downstairs, they indeed saw a few Bentley cars parked at the hotel’s entrance. A bodyguard who had previously been beside Clayflo was standing upright at the hall entrance, and upon seeing Huo Sining, he respectfully performed a gentleman’s salute:

”Miss Huo, please get in the car with your companions!”

Huo Sining didn’t bother explaining to Zhou Shitao and the others, nodded directly, and said to the few elders: ”Master, you sit in the front car; it’s here to take us to the auction venue. I’ll explain once we’re there.”

Without further questioning, Zhou Shitao nodded and called the others to get in the car. Huo Sining, Su Qingqing, and the others also divided into two cars and hurried to the Black Market Building Auction Site.

As the car passed the main entrance of the building, they saw people starting to enter the venue one after another. There were people in exotic costumes from the Middle East, Western Europe, Caucasians, Africans, and Asians. Huo Sining expected such a scene, yet upon witnessing the vibrant entry, couldn’t help feeling tense, and her mood turned heavy.

Despite having the diamonds processed into rounds by Qibao, ready for direct sale without further processing, Huo Sining still felt uncertain. Whether the sale of over a hundred diamonds, along with the winnings from Semiya totaling over nine million, would be enough to acquire the two Beast Heads remained an uncertainty for her.

Feeling anxious, Huo Sining turned, trying to talk to Gu Xu and Su Qingqing to distract herself, but as she turned, she suddenly noticed a few more people approaching, passing in front of their car window, walking straight toward the main entrance.

Seeing those people, not only did Huo Sining freeze, but even Gu Xu’s figure stiffened.

Because the one leading them wasn’t anyone else—it’s Fujiwara Seiho!

Back at the Divine Tomb Village, Fujiwara Seiho and his bodyguards carried explosives and held Long Shan Zhang at gunpoint into the Underground Palace, ultimately causing the collapse of the palace and burying everyone underwater.

Huo Sining originally thought Fujiwara Seiho and his companions had perished, but she was shocked to discover during the earthquake disaster that Hattori Keiko saved Fujiwara Seiho with Yamazaki Mieko’s help, allowing him to escape death!

What surprised her even more was Fujiwara Seiho’s arrival in Philadelphia, seemingly targeting the black market auction. As for his specific target item, Huo Sining was unsure.

However, Huo Sining felt an inexplicable unease, sensing that Fujiwara Seiho might pose a threat to her bids in the upcoming auction.
