Reborn As Super Heiress

Capítulo 1928: Chapter 1831: Racing Against Time

One hundred and fifty hectares converts to 1.5 million square meters. Huo Sining moved forward rapidly at a speed of one thousand square meters per minute. Whenever she found a place with diamonds, she would quietly make a mark. At this speed, she had surveyed half of Volcano Park in a day.

Over there, Gu Xu and Li Jun were so exhausted that they could barely raise their arms. By the end of the day, they had dug dozens of holes. Although each hole wasn’t large, each was at least one or two meters deep. Such work intensity would be too much even for farmers who worked in the mountains every day.

However, under such intensity, Huo Sining’s harvest was remarkable. Dozens of large, colorful diamonds were stored in Huo Sining’s storage ring, each one dazzling her eyes.

Considering that the park closes at six, even though Huo Sining was reluctant to leave, she managed to restrain her excitement. The group hurried back to the rented villa.

After returning, Huo Sining hurriedly used Spiritual Energy to massage and soothe Gu Xu, Li Jun, and the others, including Su Qingqing and Yue Shuwen. After being treated with Spiritual Energy, everyone’s fatigue disappeared.

After dinner, everyone went back to their rooms to rest. The next morning, Huo Sining and the group went out with their tools again.

Armed with the prior day’s experience, the group cooperated more smoothly on the second day, and they were more skilled in their digging techniques.

As a result, the staff at Volcano Park noticed that there was a group of Huaxia people, unlike the other tourists. They dug with great care and precision, digging deep and with high organization and discipline, with a specific person directing them.

Especially the girl directing, who crouched on the ground while scouring the park, leaving no corner unexamined. She would occasionally wave her companions over to dig in specific spots.

Some curious people asked if they had found any diamonds, but the answer was always a shrug or a helpless gesture.

This was a race against time. Huo Sining had never raced against time like this before. For Gu Xu and Li Jun, this was the hardest physical labor they had ever done. When they finally dug out the last big diamond Huo Sining discovered, the group collectively collapsed in the park, exchanging pained smiles.

However, when they thought about the diamonds they had harvested this time, each person’s heart surged with unprecedented blood and passion.

Huo Sining had never seen so many colors of diamonds in her life—yellow, blue, pink, orange, red. Essentially, if a diamond could be found in any color, she had it in her bag. Although the value of these diamonds couldn’t be precisely estimated before cutting, such a large bag certainly wouldn’t be cheap.

Moreover, Huo Sining had another thought in mind. If these diamonds were cut and processed, a lot of material would surely be wasted, reducing their size and weight.

But she had Qibao. This guy wasn’t just able to repair jadeite and porcelain; it could also extract stones.

Huo Sining remembered when she first met Qibao. This guy demonstrated a skill at Magic Capital’s Antique Street, extracting only the essence from a piece of junk jade rough, significantly enhancing the quality of the jadeite’s water species.

.

With this thought, Huo Sining’s eyes lit up. Diamonds were rocks too. If she could change their shape and directly turn them into finished diamonds, she could control the number of facets as she wished. This way, the diamond’s weight and size wouldn’t change, and there would be no waste of material!

Thinking this, Huo Sining’s mind became fervent, and she looked at Qibao with a burning gaze.

Being looked at by Huo Sining like this, Qibao felt a chill down its spine, completely unaware of what its sister was planning this time.

The park staff clocked out at 6 PM on the dot. Covered in dust and dirt, Huo Sining and her group were directly ushered out of the park by the staff.

Because every one of them showed unwillingness and reluctance to leave, the staff didn’t suspect a thing, thinking they were just tourists who couldn’t bear to leave without finding diamonds. They promptly shut the gates without paying any additional attention to these Huaxia people.

Back at the villa, everyone sprawled out again, but this time Huo Sining didn’t have time to massage them. Instead, she pulled Qibao into the bedroom and locked the door behind them.

She took out all the diamonds from the storage ring; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, over a hundred diamonds scattered on the table. These diamonds, uncut and unpolished, had dulled colors, much like jadeite unrefined by carving or polishing, incomparable to the shiny diamond jewelry typically seen in stores.

However, Huo Sining knew that each of the diamonds before her was extraordinarily precious.

The diamonds varied in size; the largest was the size of a fist, while the smallest was just a size smaller than a quail’s egg. Although Huo Sining wasn’t very knowledgeable about diamonds, she had looked up information about them the day before and learned that diamond quality is measured by four dimensions: carat, clarity, color, and cut.

In the grading of colorless diamonds, the top color grade is D and goes down to Z. Here, only the color grades from D to J were mentioned. D-F are colorless grades, and G-J are near colorless. From K down, they generally have no collection value, although jewelry settings made with K color and below can be very beautiful in gold.

Because from K down, diamonds gradually turn yellowish, it’s best to choose colors above H. I-J grades are also near colorless but have a slight yellowish tinge if examined closely.

Diamonds with colors such as yellow, green, blue, brown, pink, orange, red, black, purple, etc., are rare treasures among diamonds and are very expensive, with red diamonds being the most valuable.

All these diamond colors were present before her, so their carat and color were unquestionable. Huo Sining’s focus now was on improving their clarity and cut.

Huo Sining used the Heavenly Eye to observe the internal conditions of the diamonds. As expected, she could see the unique triangular growth patterns on the diamond surfaces, proving that they were absolutely natural, ruling out the possibility of them being synthetic.

However, these natural diamonds also had some drawbacks. Many of them contained impurities and weren’t of the purest quality.

If these were pure diamonds free of any impurities, their value would naturally be incomparable. On the contrary, if they contained impurities, their price would naturally be significantly lower.
