Urban Martial Saint

Hearing what the Purple Robe Lama said, everyone let out a sigh. Shen Tianjun said, ”Venerable, although this person stayed behind, he was killed by his own Third Brother!”

”Looks like his Third Brother was afraid we’d catch him and force out the Wanyan Family’s secrets, so he struck ruthlessly and killed him first!” Helian Tiehua said in a deep voice. ”The Wanyan Family are really sly, and their moves are vicious and cruel. They don’t even spare their own people. Dealing with them is truly no easy matter!”

Hearing that Old Sixth Wan Yan had been killed by Wanyan Hongsheng, the Purple Robe Lama was indeed a bit surprised. But after listening to Helian Tiehua’s explanation, he finally understood what was going on. Thinking of how these people had dealt with Old Seventh Wan Yan, he felt relieved. Since they could even trap Old Seventh Wan Yan inside the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, let alone kill an Old Sixth Wan Yan. For the sake of their family affairs, you could say they would stop at nothing and recognize neither kin nor blood!

”It’s fine. Even though this one is dead, the one inside the manor can’t get away,” the Purple Robe Lama said.

”The one inside the manor?” Everyone was stunned. Helian Tiehua asked urgently, ”There’s still someone from the Wanyan Family inside the manor? He didn’t escape?”

”Of course there is, but he can’t run,” the Purple Robe Lama chuckled and said, ”Because you’ve already locked him up in the dungeon.”

”Locked in the dungeon?” Everyone looked at each other, all astonished, not knowing who exactly the Purple Robe Lama was referring to.

”Why do you think the Wanyan Family wanted to abduct me?” The Purple Robe Lama glanced around at them and said, ”Because that Seventh Elder of Iga-ryu is one of the Wanyan Family. His rank is Seventh; he’s the Old Seventh Wan Yan of the Wanyan Family!”

”What!?”

Everyone exclaimed at the same time. This news was truly shocking. The Seventh Elder was actually from the Wanyan Family?

The Purple Robe Lama recounted what had happened after he was captured by those two men. After hearing him out, everyone suddenly saw the light and finally understood why those two from the Wanyan Family had taken away the Seventh Elder. So this Seventh Elder really was their man. From the looks of it, the Wanyan Family had planted quite a lot of spies outside. There were even their people inside Iga-ryu—who knew whether they had people in other factions as well?

Helian Tiehua slowly furrowed his brows. Hearing this, he was even more troubled than the others. Since the Wanyan Family had someone planted even inside Iga-ryu, and that person’s status was so high, already serving as an elder of Iga-ryu, it showed how meticulous the Wanyan Family’s arrangements were. In that case, it was impossible that there were no Wanyan Family men inside the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. Only, who exactly was the spy they had planted in the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance, and what position did that person currently hold? That was a very serious question. If that person’s status within the Seven Rudders was also high, then for the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance, it would be an extremely dangerous matter!

”Ah, so you’re not with them after all!” Just as everyone was lost in thought, Zhou Haoyang suddenly cried out in surprise. This guy’s reaction was really slow—only now did he realize that the Purple Robe Lama beside him wasn’t with the Wanyan Family.

”...” Everyone was speechless for a moment. Zhou Haoyang was really something. The Purple Robe Lama had already helped him fight the Wanyan Family people, and he still hadn’t figured out the Lama’s identity!

”Forget it, let’s stop thinking about this for now and hurry back. We can talk later.” The Bloody Monk suddenly said, ”The Mount Tai battle hasn’t started yet. If we rush over now, we might still catch this battle of the century!”

Upon hearing this, everyone’s spirits immediately lifted. The Mount Tai battle was the showdown between Fu Qingping and The Immortal Lord. For the world’s masters, this was a once-in-a-lifetime clash. If they could watch on the spot, they could not only witness the heaven-defying power of these Beyond The Pinnacle masters, they might even gain some insight from it, which would be greatly helpful in increasing their own strength. So, when it came to the Mount Tai battle, any Peak Master was unwilling to miss it!

”Right. Miss Huangfu has already been rescued; we should head to Mount Tai and witness this battle of the century!” Ding Lianshun immediately nodded in agreement. He, like the Bloody Monk, was one of the more battle-hungry types. The experts of Twelve Green Halls had already gone to Mount Tai tonight to watch this battle of the century; he had only stayed behind because Ye Qing had asked him to. If Ye Qing hadn’t asked for his help, he absolutely wouldn’t have remained, because the pull of the Mount Tai battle was far greater.

Now that the matter was resolved—Iga-ryu’s Sect Master had been killed, the Wanyan Family people driven back, and Huangfu Ziyu rescued—this affair could be considered finished. Taking advantage of the time, if they hurried to Mount Tai, they might still catch this world-shaking fight!

This proposal won unanimous approval, so they didn’t linger. They brought Old Sixth Wan Yan’s corpse back into the manor, then went straight to the main building to find Ye Qing and make arrangements to head for Mount Tai.

When Helian Tiehua and the others reached the manor gates, they had already sent Huangfu Ziyu back first. By the time everyone arrived at the main building, Huangfu Ziyu had long since met Ye Qing. It was obvious that after being confined for so long, she had finally seen the one she loved. Even someone as strong-willed as Huangfu Ziyu couldn’t quite hold it in at this moment—her eyes were red, and she was gripping Ye Qing’s hand tightly, sticking close to his side like a little woman, not leaving him even half a step.

Ye Qing was also tenderly holding Huangfu Ziyu’s soft little hand. Seeing everyone come in, his expression was a bit embarrassed, but he still didn’t loosen his grip in the slightest. This woman he loved had been taken twice in a row. The relationship between the two really could be described as ill-fated. So right now, no matter what, he didn’t want to let go of her hand, as if once he loosened his grip she would be snatched away again.

Seeing Ye Qing and Huangfu Ziyu like this, everyone was happy for him. They all knew about the things between the two. Especially Ding Lianshun—his entanglements with Huangfu Ziyu were anything but shallow. If not for Ye Qing’s sake, whenever he met Huangfu Ziyu it would have been a fight to the death. Yet last time, when he was trapped in the Demon Hideout Cave, it was Huangfu Ziyu who went in to save him. That made him deeply grateful to her. Being able to see this young couple finally come together, he was very pleased.

”Ye brothers, congratulations!” Ding Lianshun said to Ye Qing with genuine feeling. ”When you two hold the ceremony, remember to give your brother a shout. Even though our camps are different, this cup of wedding wine from you two—I absolutely have to drink it!”

Although Huangfu Ziyu still had some resentment toward Ding Lianshun in her heart—after all, the Huangfu Household had been destroyed by Twelve Green Halls—these words were very pleasing to her ears. Besides, Ding Lianshun had stepped in to help rescue her this time, which changed her view of him quite a bit. As Ding Lianshun himself had said, although they were on opposite sides, that didn’t stop them from becoming friends. Ding Lianshun was the sort who distinguished clearly between grudges and favors and valued loyalty highly. It was only natural that he and Ye Qing would become sworn brothers.

”Don’t worry, no matter what, I have to invite Ding to drink this cup of wedding wine!” Ye Qing replied with a hearty laugh. Finally seeing Huangfu Ziyu, he was very happy, and spoke freely without much concern. Anyway, his matter with Huangfu Ziyu had long since been settled.

”Then I’ll be waiting!” Ding Lianshun laughed loudly, and the others all followed suit, offering their congratulations to Ye Qing.

Among them, although Shen Tianjun’s face also showed joy, there was still a trace of worry in his eyes. He was certainly happy that Ye Qing and Huangfu Ziyu could end up together. But while things were all smiles on this side, what about his granddaughter Shen Qingyi? To be frank, whether it was Huangfu Ziyu or Shen Qingyi, their place in Shen Tianjun’s heart was the same. He wouldn’t favor either of them. The problem was, no matter which one Ye Qing chose, the other was destined to grieve. That outcome was what made the decision truly agonizing.

After they chatted for a while, Helian Tiehua arranged for another plane. At this point, taking any other mode of transport to Mount Tai would be too slow; flying was the best option. And with the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance having accumulated strength for hundreds of years, their power was immense and their finances abundant. Not only did Helian Tiehua have his own private plane, he could charter several aircraft at a moment’s notice. Going to Mount Tai wasn’t any kind of problem.

Under Helian Tiehua’s arrangements, everyone boarded the plane and headed straight for Mount Tai. The distance from Shenchuan City to Mount Tai wasn’t short, but a direct flight was relatively quick. At the airport in the city near Mount Tai, the helicopter Helian Tiehua had arranged beforehand was already waiting. They boarded the helicopter and flew straight toward Mount Tai without delay, arriving at the mountain at just past eleven at night.

Before the Mount Tai battle even began, the heroes of the realm had already received word long ago. The masters rushing here were too numerous to count. Starting that morning, Mount Tai had gone into lockdown; all tourists were barred from going up the mountain. When Ye Qing and the others arrived, the foot of the mountain was still sealed off. However, the ones blocking Mount Tai were people from the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance. Seeing Helian Tiehua personally leading a group over, they naturally stepped aside at once and sent cars to take Ye Qing and the others up Mount Tai.

On the way up, Ye Qing and the others took the chance to learn about the situation on the mountain.

Just as previously stated, starting from the morning, the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance sealed off the whole of Mount Tai, not allowing ordinary people to enter or leave, so that the battle between these two Beyond The Pinnacle masters wouldn’t shock the mortal world. As for those who had heard the news and rushed here with Martial Arts skills, they were only allowed up the mountain based on their circumstances. To go up, one had to be at least a Top Level master. Ordinary Martial Artists weren’t allowed up at all.
