Urban Martial Saint

The Executioner Scholar is a traitor who came from the Sword Saint Sect. Although he isn’t from the direct lineage of the Sword Saint Sect and didn’t learn their most profound martial arts, he is quite familiar with the Sword Saint Sect’s circumstances. Including the matter of these four servants, who were contemporaries of the Executioner Scholar, he naturally knew that these four servants could collaborate to seal the great formation.

Thus, the Executioner Scholar suspected that if the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect wanted to kill Ye Qing, he would certainly first have these four servants seal off the peak masters of the main building, and then he himself would take action to kill Ye Qing. This plan was the foundation for bringing in the two members of the Wanyan Family.

Indeed, everything went as the Executioner Scholar anticipated. The first to emerge were indeed those four servants, and they headed directly towards the main building, which meant these four people were prepared to directly seal the peak masters there. Everything was going according to plan.

Once those four servants entered the manor, about ten minutes later, the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect stepped out from the car.

Seeing this situation, the three members of the Wanyan Hongsheng group looked excited. Old Sixth Wan Yan wanted to chase directly after, but was stopped by Wanyan Hongsheng.

”Third Brother, aren’t we taking action now?” Old Sixth Wan Yan asked Wanyan Hongsheng in surprise, thinking this was the most suitable opportunity.

”No need to rush,” Wanyan Hongsheng whispered, ”You must let him kill Ye Qing first. We shouldn’t follow too closely, lest we startle the prey.”

”Oh.” Old Sixth Wan Yan nodded in response, while the Executioner Scholar cursed inwardly, thinking Wanyan Hongsheng truly was a sly fox. Although impatient, at this moment, he could still maintain composure, which wasn’t easy. It’s no wonder he can act together with Wanyan Second Master to oversee the current Wanyan Family; one can see some reason from this.

Still, the Executioner Scholar wasn’t anxious. Who slayed Ye Qing wasn’t of much concern to him, as Ye Qing’s matter wasn’t significant to him. What mattered were the affairs of the Sword Saint Sect and the Wanyan Family. Whether the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect could die at the hands of the Wanyan Family was the key issue.

After a couple of minutes, once the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect entered the manor, Wanyan Hongsheng discreetly signaled Old Sixth Wan Yan and the Executioner Scholar to join him in entering the manor.

The Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect didn’t know he was being followed, and his mood was quite elated, eager to capture Shen Qingyi first. However, he managed to slightly control himself and didn’t go looking for Shen Qingyi immediately. Instead, he walked straight toward the courtyard where Ye Qing lived. Killing Ye Qing before capturing Shen Qingyi would be more convenient.

The courtyard where Ye Qing lived was situated in the center of the manor. Under strict guard conditions, it would be challenging for anyone to infiltrate. But the situation was different now; the manor’s masters were all in the main building. The afternoon’s alliance discussions were done, and everyone was inside studying the Returning Origin Technique. Hence, the manor was virtually devoid of masters. The main building’s sound was blocked by those four servants, allowing the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect to infiltrate easily.

Previous intelligence personnel had marked the layout of the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders manor very precisely for him, so the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect easily found the courtyard where Ye Qing lived.

The Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect quietly jumped onto the wall, peeked inside, and saw a person standing in the courtyard center—it was Ye Qing. Meanwhile, at the door, an old man was gnawing on a chicken leg while muttering something to Ye Qing.

The Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect didn’t expect to find Ye Qing so easily or that there would be another person in the courtyard. Fearing the old man might also be a master, he paused slightly. However, during this pause, he heard the old man’s endless chatter, which made the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect’s scalp tingle.

The old man was none other than Old Chen. Ye Qing had just returned to find Old Chen sitting at the entrance nibbling on roast chicken. Ye Qing remarked something to him, causing the fellow to babble on unnecessarily, which left Ye Qing feeling helpless.

”Where did such a verbose old coot come from?” the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect grumbled internally, discreetly using the Sword Saint Sect’s Secret Technique to probe, finding the old man lacked Inner Strength, which reassured the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect.

”So damn chatty, soon I’ll kill you too!” With a vicious glare at the old man, the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect silently leaped into the courtyard, advancing stealthily towards Ye Qing, shielded by the flower bed.

Throughout the process, Ye Qing seemed oblivious, which made the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect even more complacent. At less than ten meters away from Ye Qing, he slowly clenched his fists, accumulating power, readying for a fatal strike.

”Die!” the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect cursed inwardly, suddenly dashed out, like lightning, to Ye Qing’s back. Ye Qing didn’t even have the chance to turn around before being struck in the back by the young master’s fists. His whole body flew forward, crashed into the pavilion’s pillar, and bounced back to the ground, immobile.

”Ah?” Old Chen was rambling on when he saw this scene, and his entire being immediately froze. What on earth was happening?

The Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect didn’t pay any attention to Old Chen, his eyes grew even more excited as he looked at Ye Qing lying motionless on the ground.

”Ye, aren’t you pretty arrogant? Why aren’t you arrogant now?” The Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect sneered several times, walked straight over to Ye Qing, and reached out to grab Ye Qing, intending to flip him over and search him to see if he had anything the Young Master wanted.

However, as soon as his hand touched Ye Qing, he immediately felt something wrong. The Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect also reacted extremely quickly, let out a light cry, and quickly retreated.

At that moment, Ye Qing suddenly sprang up, holding a scabbard in his right hand, which he swung fiercely towards the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect. Ye Qing had originally been lying on the ground, and this move had been prepared for a long time. So, when the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect arrived, he swung directly. Although the Young Master felt something was wrong, it was too late to retreat.

However, the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect was, after all, a peak master. Seeing there was no way to dodge the strike, he took a deep breath, contracted his muscles a bit, and tried to move his body back. Although he couldn’t fully dodge Ye Qing’s strike, he could at least save his life; even if he got hit, it would only cause minor injuries, and he still had enough strength to counterattack.

Seeing this situation, Ye Qing was also anxious. He had specially prepared this trap, intending to take this opportunity to kill the Young Master. But he didn’t expect the Young Master’s reaction to be so swift. If this trap failed, trying to kill the Young Master would be much harder.

So, in this moment, Ye Qing also took a deep breath, and forcefully swung his right hand, sending the scabbard directly flying. The scabbard shot towards the Young Master’s chest like an arrow from the string, seemingly intending to pierce the Young Master through.

Seeing this, the Young Master laughed instead of being surprised. The scabbard quickly pierced into his body, but his reaction was even swifter; he casually waved, pushing the scabbard aside. In other words, the scabbard only made a small hole in him before being pushed aside, causing even less injury.

Actually, if Ye Qing hadn’t thrown the scabbard, even if the Young Master tried to push it away, he would inevitably clash with Ye Qing’s strength, possibly resulting in a broken arm. But since Ye Qing threw it, pushing it away was much easier, as there was no resistance from Ye Qing’s power.

Thus, not only did Ye Qing fail to kill the Young Master, but he also let him off with lighter injuries, no wonder the Young Master was laughing. This was due to Ye Qing’s lack of battle experience, which naturally couldn’t compare to someone like the battle-hardened Young Master.

Having dodged the strike, the Young Master burst into mad laughter: ”Haha, Ye, you’re quite insidious, setting up such a trap to deal with me. But what of it? Your power isn’t enough; you still can’t kill me, the Young Master. But for me to kill you, that’s much easier. Today, let’s see what road remains for you!”

The Young Master said this while drawing a dagger from his body, and he charged directly at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing hurriedly picked up the scabbard from the ground; this scabbard was actually the scabbard of The Ancestor of Miao Dao, more powerful than most famed instruments. Seeing the Young Master charging, Ye Qing immediately swung the scabbard at him.

”Overestimating yourself!” The Young Master coldly shouted, casually using his dagger to block the scabbard, intending to knock it out of Ye Qing’s hand. Unexpectedly, when the dagger and scabbard collided, not only did the dagger fail to knock away Ye Qing’s scabbard, but instead, the impact nearly dislodged the dagger from his grip. The powerful force numbed his arm, his tiger’s mouth on the verge of splitting.

This situation caused the Young Master to change his expression drastically. He looked at Ye Qing in astonishment and said in a low voice: ”You... your strength, why is it this powerful?”

Ye Qing didn’t reply. His strength came entirely from the Taoist Sovereign on his right wrist. The power of this Taoist Sovereign was unknown to Ye Qing, but dealing with peak masters was certainly no problem.

Seeing Ye Qing not respond, the Young Master said coldly: ”Hmph, having power without speed or skill is still useless!”

Saying this, the Young Master suddenly stepped forward, charging at Ye Qing like a ghost. Ye Qing quickly swung the scabbard to block, but the Young Master’s dagger was already at Ye Qing’s neck.
