Urban Martial Saint

The atmosphere inside the room was tense to the extreme. Watching helplessly as the young master of the Sword Saint Sect crushed the woman underfoot, cold sweat formed on Number Nine’s forehead as well. This young master of the Sword Saint Sect is indeed the type to kill indiscriminately, treating human lives as if they were insignificant blades of grass. Serving such a master feels as dangerous as accompanying a tiger.

The young master of the Sword Saint Sect paid no heed to the horror-stricken people around him; instead, he relished the feeling, enjoying how others feared him.

Feeling the woman underfoot had completely stopped breathing, the young master of the Sword Saint Sect slowly lifted his foot and took a few steps forward. After pondering for a moment, he looked up at Number Nine and said, ”What’s the situation over at the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance now?”

Upon hearing the young master’s question, Number Nine dared not neglect it and quickly replied, ”Regarding the alliance, there’s just a preliminary shape. The Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance are trying hard to facilitate this alliance. According to the information I’ve obtained, tomorrow noon, those participating in the alliance will arrive at the Seven Steering Committees to further discuss the matters of unification. Moreover, to ensure smoother cooperation, Ye Qing has invited several people proficient in Taoist Incantation to comprehensively translate the Returning Origin Technique, and the translated copies will be distributed to everyone after the discussions.”

The mention of Ye Qing’s name made the young master of the Sword Saint Sect’s complexion turn cold once more, as he harbors deep resentment towards Ye Qing. Not only had he been driven out by Ye Qing from the Seven Rudders’ manor, but more importantly, the affair between Ye Qing and Shen Qingyi has always been intolerable to him. He is extremely conceited, always thinking the whole world should revolve around him. Yet, the woman he fancied had no feelings for him but was instead deeply enamored with another, which he could not endure.

”Ye Qing!” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect repeated the name with bitterness and suddenly punched the marble table beside him, scaring several women behind him. These women have all witnessed the young master’s capricious nature and are indeed afraid he would vent his anger on them in a fit of rage.

Number Nine was somewhat familiar with the young master’s temperament. Seeing the young master in such a state, he knew he was very troubled by matters concerning Ye Qing. He promptly added, ”Oh, there’s also one more thing. In this alliance between the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance and those people, the leader chosen is Ye Qing!”

”What!?” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect yelled angrily, causing a tremor of fear in Number Nine’s heart. Before he could respond, the young master had already dashed before him, grabbing him by the collar, almost lifting him entirely, and shouted angrily, ”What did you just say!?”

Facing such imposing demeanor of the young master, Number Nine was so scared his legs started trembling. He struggled to calm himself slightly and repeated the words he just uttered.

After listening to Number Nine’s words, the young master of the Sword Saint Sect gritted his teeth and said angrily, ”How is that possible? What abilities does that Ye have to qualify as the leader of these people? He’s just a useless person with no martial arts skills; what gives him the right to lead the heroes across the realm?”

The mission of the young master this time was to sow discord among people across the realm, preferably to instigate internal strife among them. However, before inciting, the Sect Leader also assigned him another task, which was to rope in anyone he could. If he truly couldn’t, then sow discord among them, making them fight amongst each other. Regardless, the aim was to weaken others’ strength, thereby enhancing the power of Sword Saint Sect.

The young master of the Sword Saint Sect hadn’t initially planned to rope these people because of his conceited character; he certainly wouldn’t speak nicely to them. So, he directly took the task given by the Sect Leader as sowing discord among these people, letting them fight among themselves first.

However, truthfully, he also really wanted to rope these people together. If he could become the leader of the alliance like Ye Qing, then he would have accomplished a great feat, and the Sect Leader would undoubtedly reward him handsomely. Yet, this matter, he couldn’t do, and Ye Qing, whom he thought inferior, managed to achieve it, leaving him unable to feel balanced in his heart.

Coupled with the prior instance of being expelled by Ye Qing, Shen Qingyi’s affair, and now this alliance matter, his resentment towards Ye Qing has reached its peak. He bit his teeth, clenched fists, remained silent for quite a while before slowly exhaling and said in a deep voice, ”Quite an alliance, quite a Ye Qing! Hmph, if I help you succeed in this alliance, how could I face returning to the Sword Saint Sect?”

Number Nine looked at the young master of the Sword Saint Sect in astonishment. From the young master’s tone, it was clear he intended to sabotage this alliance. But how could he achieve such a feat? It is known that not only do those people harbor hostility towards the Wanyan Family, but also towards the Sword Saint Sect. If people from Sword Saint Sect appear, they will certainly be driven away again!

”Young master, currently, there are too many Peak Masters gathered at Hong Alliance’s Seven Steering Committees. This moment isn’t the most convenient for us to head over there!” Number Nine advised softly.

”Hmph, I have it all arranged!” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect snorted coldly, suddenly looking at Number Nine and said, ”Right, what about that Fu Qingping beside Ye Qing? I heard this person is about to break through the shackles of Acme, so why didn’t he stop when the person from the Wanyan Family was rescued?”

Number Nine said, ”What I heard was, this Fu Qingping, at Chatiang Peak, was ambushed by The Immortal Lord dispatched by the Wanyan Family and severely wounded, nearly losing his life. Although he barely held on to life, he hasn’t fully recovered from his injuries yet and seems unable to take action. So currently, he should be recuperating, unable to fight!”

”So that’s how it is!” A gleam flickered in the eyes of the young master of the Sword Saint Sect, a trace of excitement appeared on his face. He bit his teeth and said in a deep voice, ”Excellent, truly Heaven assists me. Ye Qing, this time, there’s no escape from death for you!”

Upon hearing this, Number Nine couldn’t help but be slightly stunned. So the young master plans to kill Ye Qing. Well, it seems plausible. After all, Ye Qing was unanimously selected by those people as the leader of the alliance. Moreover, Ye Qing’s various ties with different forces make him the most suitable to lead these people. This alliance is also established on Ye Qing handing over the Returning Origin Technique. If Ye Qing dies, then the alliance will lose its leader, and whether it can continue becomes uncertain.

Number Nine whispered, ”Young master, there are numerous Peak Masters at Hong Alliance’s Seven Steering Committees. Attempting to kill Ye Qing there might not be so easy.”

”Hmph, it takes human effort!” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect said coldly, ”Ye has no martial arts skills whatsoever; killing him simply requires moving a finger. If given the slightest opportunity, I can kill him personally!”

Number Nine nodded slowly, considering the current prowess of the young master of the Sword Saint Sect, killing someone without martial arts isn’t particularly challenging. However, infiltrating Hong Alliance’s Seven Steering Committees to commit murder isn’t that straightforward.

Nevertheless, Number Nine didn’t further dissuade the young master of the Sword Saint Sect. In fact, he couldn’t wait for the young master to leave his manor immediately; he really doesn’t want to serve this master any longer. The sooner he is sent off, the better!

”Keep a close watch on Hong Alliance’s Seven Steering Committees.” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect said deeply, ”After the alliance talks tomorrow, these people will be together to study the Returning Origin Technique. Ye Qing has no martial arts skills; he probably won’t stay there long, presenting the best opportunity to kill him. Those Peak Masters will be engrossed in studying the Returning Origin Technique, with no protection around Ye Qing—ha, killing him will be a cinch!”

”Yes!” Number Nine quickly nodded in response, paused slightly, and said quietly, ”Young master, there are sure to be many Peak Masters at Hong Alliance’s Seven Steering Committees that day. If we just enter like that, isn’t it also a bit dangerous if they find us?”

”Don’t worry!” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect smiled coldly and said, ”Do you know why the Sect Leader sent these four servants to assist me?”

”Why?” Number Nine quickly asked, though his martial skills weren’t strong, he had been serving Sword Saint Sect for a while, yet he didn’t know the internal affairs of Sword Saint Sect.

The young master of the Sword Saint Sect said proudly, ”Because these four servants possess an exceedingly clever Combined Strike Technique. Their combat power might not be very high, but together, they can seal off everything around them, akin to Wo Country’s Ninja’s blockade great formation. Even if someone confined inside screamed to the top of their lungs, those outside wouldn’t hear a sound!”

If Nalan Jingwei, the Executioner Scholar were here, hearing this, he would surely be greatly astounded. Because last time, after they snatched the Gold Silk Armor, Nalan Jingwei encountered an ambush by Wo Country’s Ninja on the way. During this ambush, as Nalan Jingwei desperately shouted, outside the Executioner Scholar couldn’t hear a sound. Later, Nalan Jingwei broke through the Gang Qi encirclement, transmitting the sound out. Otherwise, even if he died inside that encirclement great formation, perhaps the Executioner Scholar wouldn’t have received any information at all.

The Sword Saint Sect’s blockade great formation had such similarities with Wo Country’s Ninja’s blockade great formation that truly is indeed wondrous.

”Using this blockade great formation to confine Ye Qing inside, then allowing the young master to personally kill him...” Number Nine said with flattery while looking at the young master of the Sword Saint Sect, ”Indeed an excellent approach, the young master’s insight and calculation are unparalleled, Ye Qing is undoubtedly doomed this time!”

”Hmph, what do you know?” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect glared at Number Nine coldly and said, ”Block Ye Qing? What use is that? If I enter after blocking him, I fear those Peak Masters might hear my movements.”

”Then...then what to block?” Number Nine asked in confusion.

”Rubbish, obviously to block those Peak Masters!” The young master of the Sword Saint Sect sneered, ”Though I only have four servants, blocking the sound of those inside, even momentarily, isn’t a problem. Once they are blocked, they won’t hear the commotion outside.”
