Urban Martial Saint

The Heart Demon Flower and Heart Demon Technique are being simultaneously employed; this is Wanyan Hongsheng’s final trump card. Not to mention the people around him, even Shen Tianjun, who has been continuously battling him, has noticeably slowed down his movements at this moment. Although Shen Tianjun is not controlled by the Heart Demon, he is still influenced, causing his movements to slow considerably.

In fact, Shen Tianjun’s situation is relatively better. Among them, some with weaker willpower have already started to fall under Wanyan Hongsheng’s control, attacking those next to them.

At this time, Wanyan Hongsheng feels invigorated. Originally, he intended to use this ultimate move to save his life and run away; as long as the Heart Demon could control the crowd for a moment, he would have the opportunity to escape. But unexpectedly, this move proved so effective, so many people succumbed to the Heart Demon’s influence, and even more were controlled by the Heart Demon, completely beyond his expectation. It seems that these so-called reclusive masters have more prevalent Heart Demons than others, and using the Heart Demon Technique to control them is most fitting.

In this moment, Wanyan Hongsheng no longer considers fleeing. Because many peak masters are under his control, he now even wants to use these peak masters to attack those who oppose him, potentially defeating them and conveniently seizing the Returning Origin Technique.

The chaos at the scene made Ye Qing’s face change dramatically; the situation completely exceeded his expectations, and for a moment, he didn’t know how to change this situation. Moreover, what worried him most was the Bloody Monk. The Bloody Monk has the most rampant Heart Demon among them, and if controlled by the Heart Demon, his power would multiply, which is terrifying. If the Heart Demon controls the Bloody Monk, then it’s all over.

Despite Ye Qing’s worry, he couldn’t change anything. The Bloody Monk’s eyes became increasingly red, and he seemed like a wild beast about to break free, constantly emitting a terrifying wheezing sound.

These are signs that the Bloody Monk is about to be controlled by the Heart Demon!

Watching the Bloody Monk’s condition, Ye Qing’s brows furrowed even tighter. No, a way must be found to suppress the Bloody Monk’s Heart Demon, otherwise, it won’t end well. But how to suppress the Heart Demon, Ye Qing didn’t know at all.

While Ye Qing was anxiously thinking, the Bloody Monk finally couldn’t hold back, and with a frenzied roar, he stood up and charged towards the battlefield.

Helian Tiehua was always on his guard against him, and upon seeing the Bloody Monk charge out, he immediately followed and blocked the Bloody Monk. At this moment, he had no other choice but to first stop the Bloody Monk to prevent him from starting a massacre. However, he himself felt uncertain; if the Bloody Monk went berserk, how long could he keep him in check?

Seeing this situation, Ye Qing’s expression grew even uglier; the thing he feared the most had finally happened. The Bloody Monk got controlled by the Heart Demon, and now it’s a problem. No way, a method must be found to stop the Bloody Monk. But what can be done to stop the Heart Demon?

Ye Qing’s thoughts raced as he pondered for a moment, suddenly recalling something. Previously, when Broom Star was in seclusion, Ye Qing visited once. At that time, the Buddha’s Relic within Ye Qing attracted the Purple Lotus Karmic Fire on Broom Star, almost burning Ye Qing to death. Broom Star then recited a scripture to Ye Qing, suppressing the Purple Lotus Karmic Fire and calming the power of the Devouring Demon Flower. Later, Broom Star told Ye Qing that regularly reciting that scripture could not only cultivate oneself but also stabilize the Heart Demon.

Stabilizing the Heart Demon—Ye Qing didn’t pay much attention at the time. But now, this is an extremely important effect. If the scripture Broom Star recited can truly stabilize the Heart Demon, could it stop the Bloody Monk’s Heart Demon?

With doubts in his heart, but without choice, Ye Qing needs to quickly stop this. So, almost treating it as a last resort, Ye Qing suddenly chanted loudly: ”Guanyin Bodhisattva, when practicing deeply the Prajna Paramita, perceives that all five skandhas are empty and is saved from all suffering and distress. Shariputra, form is no different from emptiness, emptiness no different from form, form is emptiness, emptiness is form. Feeling, thought, volition, and consciousness are likewise like this, Shariputra, all dharmas are empty appearances, neither arising nor ceasing, neither polluted nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing; therefore, within emptiness, there is no form...”

This passage is the Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra taught to Ye Qing by Broom Star, originally used to suppress the Buddha’s Relic inside Ye Qing. Ye Qing has recited it many times, so the scripture is very familiar, almost spoken out seamlessly. Ye Qing’s voice is loud, not only reciting to the Bloody Monk but also for everyone else present to hear.

Initially, Ye Qing’s recitation had no effect. But when he chanted the second verse, Ye Qing clearly saw that the Bloody Monk’s movements slowed a bit, as if attracted by the Heart Sutra. This situation made Ye Qing overjoyed; the Heart Sutra really works, and this is truly a good thing. Using the Heart Sutra to calm the Heart Demons of everyone means it can dismantle Wanyan Hongsheng’s ultimate move.

Wanyan Hongsheng also noticed the abnormal situation on the scene, his expression changing dramatically. He was very confident in his Heart Demon Technique, believing that anyone controlled by the Heart Demon could not escape. But what’s going on now? Why did those controlled by the Heart Demon slow down?

Wanyan Hongsheng wasn’t stupid; he could see that the slowing down happened while Ye Qing was reciting the scripture. In other words, the slowing of movements was entirely due to Ye Qing’s recitation. This made Wanyan Hongsheng angry yet more astonished. What kind of scripture is Ye Qing reciting, capable of breaking his Heart Demon Technique?

Watching everyone slowly regain clarity, Wanyan Hongsheng knows if he doesn’t change the situation, he’ll be stuck here. And with so many people controlled by the Heart Demon, Wanyan Hongsheng doesn’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

”Ye Qing, don’t think that a single scripture can break my Heart Demon Technique. Today I’ll show you what true Demonic Sect Technique is!” Wanyan Hongsheng shouted insanely, suddenly raising his hand to bite off half of his ring finger, chewing it loudly before gulping it down.

Ye Qing had seen Southeast Asian Sorcerers using sorcery before, enhancing its power often at the cost of their own bodies. Severed limbs were also seen by Ye Qing. But for Wanyan Hongsheng to bite off his own finger, chew and swallow it, Ye Qing was seeing this for the first time. What exactly is this?

Having experienced a prior battle with a Southeast Asian Sorcerer, Ye Qing understood that Wanyan Hongsheng must be enhancing his strength. Ye Qing dared not be negligent, quickly raising his voice, aiming to use the Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra to suppress the Heart Demons of the crowd. At this point, Wanyan Hongsheng’s subtle yet piercing voice sounded again. This time, Wanyan Hongsheng’s voice carried some strange noises, like ghost wails and wolf howls, constantly stimulating everyone’s hearts, the power much stronger than before!

Those initially suppressed by Ye Qing’s Heart Sutra now were no longer affected, becoming even more controlled by the Heart Demon, shouting and beginning to attack those nearby.

Seeing this, a trace of joy flashed across Wanyan Hongsheng’s face. Fortunately, Ye Qing’s Heart Sutra wasn’t very potent. Against the strength gained by self-sacrifice, Ye Qing’s Heart Sutra couldn’t suppress his Heart Demon Technique; everything remained under his control.

With the crowd again under Heart Demon control, Ye Qing was shocked, urgently raising his voice to recite the Heart Sutra, hoping to suppress their Heart Demons. However, this time his Heart Sutra had no effect, as nobody paused due to his scripture.

The one with the fiercest Heart Demon remains the Bloody Monk. At this moment, he was fighting with Helian Tiehua, but Helian Tiehua didn’t dare to go head-on with him; the constrained fighting naturally put Helian Tiehua at a disadvantage against the Bloody Monk. It seemed likely Helian Tiehua would be harmed by the Bloody Monk.

Ye Qing tried to use his Heart Sutra to suppress the Bloody Monk’s Heart Demon, but it was entirely useless. No matter how loud he shouted, it didn’t change anything, as the crowd remained controlled by the Heart Demon, and the Bloody Monk continued attacking Helian Tiehua with red eyes, leading to a scene that had spiraled out of control.

”Hahaha...” Wanyan Hongsheng was the most unbridled, laughing with his hands on his hips, saying: ”Ye Qing, don’t waste your efforts; how could your scrappy scripture compare with my Heart Demon Technique? Besides, this power comes at the cost of self-sacrifice, enhancing the Heart Demon Technique by several folds. Your petty scripture can’t be of any use now!”

Seeing Wanyan Hongsheng’s arrogant manner, Ye Qing was extremely angry. However, he had to admit that Wanyan Hongsheng was right; his studied Heart Sutra was useless now. Not to mention that Ye Qing himself didn’t have Inner Strength, merely shouting with his throat, yet overpowered by Wanyan Hongsheng’s voice, many people couldn’t hear him reciting.

As Ye Qing was feeling angry yet helpless, a scripture chanting suddenly emerged from the main building behind him: ”Shariputra, form is no different from emptiness, emptiness no different from form, form is emptiness, emptiness is form...”

This voice recited the same Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra as Ye Qing did. Although exactly similar to Ye Qing’s recitation earlier, this voice was much more solemn, giving an impression of tranquility and indifference just by listening!
