Urban Martial Saint

The four people positioned themselves strategically, guarding all exits, while the Bloody Monk and the Iga Ryu Clan Master faced off in the center.

Seeing the situation, the Clan Master understood clearly that it was absolutely unavoidable this time. He gritted his teeth and suddenly shouted loudly, ”Good! Good! Good! Today, I will let you all witness the ultimate technique of Iga Ryu!”

As soon as he finished, the Clan Master suddenly stepped back, and his entire being seemed to vanish into thin air, disappearing completely!

The people all around changed their expressions, and Shen Tianjun, who was standing closest to Huangfu Ziyu, took a step back towards her, vigilantly observing the surroundings to prevent the Clan Master from suddenly attacking Huangfu Ziyu.

The most vigilant among them was the Bloody Monk at the center. He took a deep breath and stared fixedly all around. Suddenly, he stretched out his hand and struck towards the air in front of him.

At the very moment the Bloody Monk moved, a long knife suddenly stretched out of nowhere from the space in front of him, as if it had emerged from another realm. The knife was almost aligned with the Bloody Monk’s palm, yet his strike was a bit too slow, not hitting the blade, and the long knife directly aimed to slash at the Bloody Monk’s arm.

Seeing the situation, everyone’s face changed drastically. The speed of the long knife was incredibly fast, making it impossible for the Bloody Monk to dodge this strike. Moreover, though the blade wasn’t near everyone, they could still feel the chilling saber qi emanating from it, clearly indicating it was a famed instrument. Such a renowned weapon, wielded by a master like the Clan Head, would be fearsome indeed. If it hit, the Bloody Monk’s arm would likely be rendered useless!

”Watch out!” Shen Tianjun, standing closest, shouted deeply and swiftly rushed forward, simultaneously thrusting both palms towards the air in front of him. Though he struck at just an empty space, Shen Tianjun could sense it was where the Clan Master was hidden, aiming to force him to retreat and thereby save the Bloody Monk.

However, Shen Tianjun knew very well that his strike might not have any effect. For, he was simply too far from the Clan Master, who had ample time to chop off the Bloody Monk’s arm and still dodge his attack. But, he had no other choice, for he couldn’t just stand by watching the Bloody Monk get his arm chopped off!

Actually, the other three also made efforts to rescue the Bloody Monk. However, they were even further away than Shen Tianjun, making it even less timely for them to intervene. Everyone could only watch helplessly as the knife chopped into the Bloody Monk’s arm, and the Bloody Monk didn’t even seem intent on dodging, fiercely striking at the air before him. From his stance, it was clear he knew it was unavoidable, yet he was determined to punch the opponent at least once. But in such a trade, he was evidently at a disadvantage. Even if he could hit the opponent, he would still lose an arm in exchange!

The entire process took just a moment, as the knife chopped into the Bloody Monk’s arm. Yet, the anticipated severing of the arm did not occur. The long knife indeed made a cut on the Bloody Monk’s arm, but it was merely a small wound, incapable of penetrating further, as if wedged into a stone crevice. The wound simply won’t expand, let alone severing the Bloody Monk’s arm.

Though the long knife couldn’t sever the Bloody Monk’s arm, his fist still struck forward. All they heard was a thump, and a figure abruptly blasted out from the air where the Bloody Monk had punched, revealing it to be none other than the Clan Master. He wielded a long knife and, after retreating two steps, steadied himself. His complexion paled noticeably, clearly suffering quite a setback.

What truly was unacceptable for the Clan Master was not just being punched by the Bloody Monk, but the fact that blood dripped from his long knife. He had thrown a full-force slash at the Bloody Monk’s arm, seeming on the verge of severing it. But who could have anticipated that the knife merely made a small cut and then felt blocked by some force, unable to penetrate further, leaving the Clan Master astonished. Meanwhile, the Bloody Monk’s fist showed no hint of slowing, directly landing a punch on him, forcing him out into the open.

The Bloody Monk wasn’t weak, and the punch sent his blood and energy surging. Yet, he completely disregarded his injury, staring fixedly at the Bloody Monk, and said in a deep voice, ”How... how is this possible?”

Not only did the Clan Master find it inconceivable, but the members surrounding who had helped the Bloody Monk, including Shen Tianjun, were equally in disbelief. Judging by the Clan Master’s strength, coupled with a sharp famed weapon, it was unexpected that he couldn’t sever the Bloody Monk’s arm. What in the world had just happened?

”Why is it impossible?” The Bloody Monk maintained a tranquil demeanor, coldly gazing at the Clan Master opposite him, and replied, ”Don’t forget, I am from Xiaolin Temple, Shijia’s junior disciple!”

The Clan Master roared, ”What’s it matter if you’re from Xiaolin Temple or Shijia’s junior disciple? You’re not Shijia!”

”It’s true I’m not Shijia, but I have learned the Vajra Indestructible Body that Shijia studied!” The Bloody Monk paused for a moment, and said, ”I just couldn’t comprehend the Vajra Indestructible Body before, but recently I’ve started to grasp it. Though I haven’t fully mastered the Vajra Indestructible Body, my physical strength is at least strong enough to withstand famed weapons. Your long knife may be sharp, but it’s not sufficient to sever my arm!”

Upon hearing this, everyone present was astonished. They had never thought the Bloody Monk learned the Vajra Indestructible Body and even gained insights into it. This meant his abilities had significantly increased! It made sense why he was confident in dueling the Clan Master alone, as his current mastery of the Vajra Indestructible Body meant few peak masters could inflict any harm upon him!

Helian Tiehua and the Wolf Monk were the most understanding of the Bloody Monk’s situation, having followed him and listened to True Buddha preach Buddhist scriptures for the past few days. Though True Buddha spoke only of scriptures, the Buddhist principles therein were astounding. All of them studied martial arts within the Buddhist sect, and the scriptures are gifts from the Buddha. To truly excel in the martial arts of the Buddhist sect, one must also delve into the scriptures, explaining why Buddhist sect masters throughout history were also highly knowledgeable monks in scripture.

True Buddha’s understanding of the scriptures had reached the acme. His exposition benefited those who studied Buddhist martial arts profoundly. In truth, not only the Bloody Monk, but even the Wolf Monk and Helian Tiehua gained deeper insights into their previously learned martial arts thanks to True Buddha’s teachings, and their skills had somewhat improved.

The Bloody Monk possessed great intuition, and having heard Ye Qing speak of the power of the Buddha’s Relic and directly witnessed it, his insights within this field were the greatest. Over the past few days, his capabilities rapidly improved. Though he had heard Shijia speak of the Vajra Indestructible Body in the past, he had no understanding at the time. Yet, throughout these recent days, he gained new insights into the Vajra Indestructible Body and finally mastered it. And today, it proved particularly handy. Not only did it block the dangerous strike from the Clan Master, but he also countered with a punch, forcing the Clan Master to suffer an internal injury.

”Congratulations, Sect Leader, your martial arts have reached a new height!” Shen Tianjun remarked with a light laugh, knowing the Bloody Monk’s connection to Ye Qing. The stronger the Bloody Monk becomes, the more beneficial it is for Ye Qing.

”The Vajra Indestructible Body!” The Clan Master ground his teeth, and said gravely, ”I never anticipated you’d master this ultimate technique. I was careless!”

The Bloody Monk remained composed and said, ”Now you understand why I dare face you alone, don’t you?”

The Clan Master clenched his teeth, looking at several peak masters encircling him, fully aware that today he couldn’t possibly escape with his life. He took a deep breath and said in a deep voice, ”I refuse to believe I can’t break your Vajra Indestructible Body!”

Having said this, the Clan Master suddenly leapt up and charged towards the Bloody Monk. And just less than three meters away, he strangely vanished into thin air.

Faced with this situation, the Bloody Monk remained completely undisturbed; instead, he directly punched towards his left side. Almost at the instant he swung his punch, a long knife thrust from his left side, slashing toward his body. Again, neither party dodged—the knife cut into his left shoulder, creating a bloody scar, while his punch struck the hidden Clan Master, forcing him out once more.

”Ugh!” The injury was heavier this time; the Clan Master spat a mouthful of blood immediately after emerging. Observing the Bloody Monk’s scarred left shoulder made him even more disheartened. Though he’d hit the Bloody Monk, it was merely external. And his successive injuries were all internal. Continuing this exchange, the Bloody Monk might not suffer significant wounds, but his life could very well be lost here!

The Bloody Monk coldly said, ”I advise you not to use these futile blinding methods anymore. We’ve understood the tricks of your Wo Country’s ninja long ago. No matter how well you hide or how skillfully you perform blinding methods, as long as your body moves, it stirs air currents. Peak masters, with protective gang qi surrounding them, perceive any airflow. Even if you could truly become invisible, it’s useless against peak masters!”
