Urban Martial Saint

A sudden change in circumstances, the sound of chanting that suddenly appeared was as if a truly enlightened monk was reciting the Heart Sutra that calms the mind. The solemn yet tranquil voice slowly settled the restless hearts, and the consciousness initially controlled by the heart demon gradually regained peace.

When this sound appeared, Ye Qing immediately turned his head towards the direction from which the sound came. Outside the crowd, a child only a few years old was slowly walking over. His hands were clasped together, his face solemn, continuously reciting softly, and this Heart Sutra was chanted from his mouth.

And this child was none other than the former Broom Star, now the True Buddha!

Seeing the True Buddha appear, Ye Qing was first somewhat astonished, but quickly collected himself. No wonder the power of the Heart Sutra was much stronger than what he recited moments ago; it turned out the True Buddha was chanting it personally. It seems his understanding of this True Buddha is still too little; not only is he astoundingly wise, knowing past and future events, but even the power of his chanting is much stronger than others. To know that Wanyan Hongsheng wielded an enhanced Heart Demon Technique, but could be suppressed by the True Buddha’s chanting, shows how strong the True Buddha’s chanting power is!

Even now, the eyes of the Bloody Monk gradually returned to their normal color. Regaining his senses, he was noticeably perplexed, not knowing what had just happened. Yet, the sound of chanting continuously echoed in his ears. For reasons unknown, the Bloody Monk felt as if he stood beneath a golden Buddha’s feet. That golden Buddha, shining with golden light, seemed like the supreme Eternal Buddha Ancestor, making him involuntarily feel a desire to worship.

And in the distance, the Purple Robe Lama stared blankly at the True Buddha here, his entire expression frozen. He had always been unaware of the Broom Star’s story and thus had never seen the Broom Star. If he had seen the Broom Star, he would surely recognize this child as the Reincarnated True Buddha. At this moment, he finally saw the Broom Star here; although not confirmed yet, he was already certain in his heart—this is the Reincarnated True Buddha he had been searching for!

In fact, after calming down, everyone was also shockingly looking at the True Buddha. When they first heard the chanting sound, everyone basically assumed it absolutely must be a high monk like Shijia arriving; otherwise, no one could have such a solemn aura. But when they turned back to look, they saw this child only a few years old; how could their hearts remain calm?

Especially Wanyan Hongsheng, whose face was full of disbelief, stared at the True Buddha for a while, suddenly raised his voice, and exclaimed: ”Shijia, since you are here, why dare not show yourself? Having a child here pretending to be a ghost, do you think you can scare me?”

Listening to Wanyan Hongsheng, everyone instinctively looked up. Actually, everyone’s thoughts were the same as Wanyan Hongsheng’s, feeling that this child’s chanting power couldn’t possibly be this strong. So, everyone subconsciously believed that surely the current top master of the Buddhist Sect, Shijia, was behind the trick.

However, when Wanyan Hongsheng’s voice spread out, there was no movement around. Meanwhile, as everyone was confusedly looking around, a purple shadow suddenly rushed to the front of the True Buddha, and before anyone could react, the purple shadow was already kneeling, hands clasped, trembling voice calling out reverently: ”True Buddha!”

”True Buddha!?”

Two simple words, yet making everyone present feel as if they were struck by a thunderbolt, astonishingly staring at that small figure. Most of the people here are hidden-world Peak Masters, knowledgeable and experienced individuals. The True Buddha—these two words—everyone here was well aware of their significance!

Although the True Buddha is technically the leader of Brahmanism, in reality, the martial artists of Huaxia are also familiar with his name. Even if not many in Huaxia have truly seen him, everyone knows that the True Buddha is the core existence of Brahmanism, the spiritual essence of Brahmanism. Brahmanism can go without Peak Masters, but it definitely cannot be without the True Buddha.

In the legends of the world, the True Buddha is almost considered a divine figure. His power may not be strong, but his spiritual power is unparalleled globally. Moreover, the True Buddha is a spiritual legacy; before each True Buddha passes away, his memory and spirit are reincarnated into the next True Buddha. Therefore, in a way, the True Buddha can be said to be truly eternally living, only physically dying yet spiritually eternally inherited!

Nobody knows how long the True Buddha has existed. However, it’s confirmed that the True Buddha’s memory has indeed been preserved all along, meaning any incumbent True Buddha possesses the memories of all prior True Buddhas, including their wisdom. Thus, every True Buddha is a person with vast knowledge, wise beyond measure.

Moreover, the key point is, the True Buddha is not just capable of knowing past events but also has a special ability to predict future events. Legend has it that the True Buddha is truly the one who sees through all heavenly secrets, not only capable of divining within destiny but also forecasting events outside of fate. No variables can escape the True Buddha’s eyes. This ability is the true foundation of Brahmanism!

Of course, these are things almost everyone knows through legends. But in fact, there is a more crucial matter known to only a few: the special connection between the True Buddha and Brahmanism. Only the True Buddha can utilize Brahmanism’s protective force. This protective force is extremely powerful, unmatched in the world. This is also why Brahmanism can be without Peak Masters but must not be without the True Buddha.

Now seeing the True Buddha here, the shock in everyone’s hearts is imaginable. All expressions froze, staring blankly at the Broom Star; who would have thought that this child, only a few years old, is the True Buddha of Brahmanism? However, thinking about it, if he is the True Buddha, then the prior events can be explained. If he’s the True Buddha, able to chant such scriptures, it is only normal.

Wanyan Hongsheng’s expression greatly changed; he didn’t expect to encounter the True Buddha here. Moreover, the True Buddha broke his Heart Demon Technique, which simply pushed him to a dead end. Also, the appearance of the True Buddha shocked him profoundly. No one understands Brahmanism better than The Yan Family, nor does anyone know the significance of the True Buddha as well as The Yan Family. Now the True Buddha has reappeared, yet he is a Huaxia Countryman; crucially, this True Buddha is clearly the Broom Star who had been by Ye Qing’s side all along. In other words, this True Buddha has a very good relationship with Ye Qing, which is the most troubling aspect.

Everything Wanyan Family planned had a key focus on defense against Brahmanism. Although the Wanyan Family did many things, they never collided with Brahmanism nor ever provoked it in the slightest. Because they didn’t want to anger Brahmanism’s True Buddha. The True Buddha of Brahmanism is the only flaw in their plan. However, despite all their calculations, they never thought, even though they never provoked Brahmanism or the True Buddha, this True Buddha has an extraordinary relationship with Ye Qing, which essentially means they have already provoked him!

Wanyan Hongsheng felt a wave of despair; despite his family’s long-standing preparations, they still couldn’t avoid this calamity, and additionally, his Heart Demon Technique was broken. Truly extremely unfortunate, not only has he failed, but the family’s matters are also stuck here; how can he accept this?

Facing the Purple Robe Lama’s bow, the True Buddha slowly walked up to him. Even though the Purple Robe Lama was prostrated, he was still taller than the True Buddha. However, the True Buddha stretched out his hand slowly to hold the Purple Robe Lama’s head, his face full of compassion. After a long time, he sighed softly and said in a low voice: ”Venerable, you’ve worked hard!”

Even though the Reincarnated True Buddha appeared only a few years old, the Purple Robe Lama didn’t feel any humiliation. On the contrary, hearing the True Buddha’s words, his eyes were already red, and he replied in a low voice: ”Protecting the spiritual legacy of the True Buddha is indeed my responsibility!”

The True Buddha slowly nodded, looking at the Purple Robe Lama’s expression with continued compassion. No one knew why he had such an expression, but the Purple Robe Lama knew best. Because the previous True Buddha had already told him that after he passed away, the Purple Robe Lama could not enter Huaxia again. Otherwise, he would be unable to return to Brahmanism.

This matter was deeply engraved in the Purple Robe Lama’s heart. However, human calculation is not as good as heavenly calculation; after the previous True Buddha passed away, the Reincarnated True Buddha appeared in Huaxia. Under these circumstances, not entering Huaxia was no longer possible for the Purple Robe Lama. But if he entered Huaxia, he would not be able to return to Brahmanism, meaning he would perish in Huaxia.

To find the Reincarnated True Buddha, the Purple Robe Lama entered Huaxia without hesitation. In fact, during this time, he felt deeply concerned, fearing he might lose his life before finding the Reincarnated True Buddha. Now finally finding him, he breathed a sigh of relief. At this moment, even if he indeed loses his life in Huaxia, it doesn’t matter because his mission is completed!

Suddenly, a cold voice startled everyone present. They turned their heads to see the Bloody Monk already lunging towards Wanyan Hongsheng, attacking him with all might.

Wanyan Hongsheng was still shocked by the appearance of the True Buddha; suddenly attacked by the Bloody Monk, he was also startled. He hurriedly jumped up to dodge the Bloody Monk, but the Bloody Monk, looking crazed, pursued relentlessly and attacked, leaving him nowhere to escape.
