The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Cheng Jiatong widened her eyes, ”You, you’re talking nonsense, don’t falsely accuse me.”

”I’m not falsely accusing you, I have a brother who’s the cousin of the maid beside you, everyone can testify to that.”

At this point, Cheng Jiatong’s defense seemed extremely weak.

Facing Cheng Xian’s cold demeanor, her heart was in a panic, and she immediately said, ”I really don’t know about this matter, Biyan, what exactly is going on, what have you been hiding from me?”

The maid named trembled, feeling particularly desperate inside, knowing that she would definitely be pushed out by Miss as a scapegoat.

However, she had no choice but to take on the blame herself.

Biyan shakily stepped forward, knelt on the ground and cried, ”Miss, I’m sorry, it was Biyan who acted on her own. Biyan couldn’t bear to see Miss being slapped, so secretly followed the county magistrate, found out where she lived, and contacted my cousin, wanting to, wanting to teach the county magistrate a lesson. It’s Biyan’s fault.”

Seeing her so sensible, Cheng Jiatong secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but on the surface, she was filled with rage and kicked Biyan, ”Who told you to do such a thing? I got slapped, I would naturally find my brother to stand up for me. Look at the mess you’ve made. If you had succeeded this time, you wouldn’t be worth of living.”

She was about to raise her foot to kick again when Ying Xi sneered, ”Is there any need for Miss Cheng to be so agitated? Were these things really done by Biyan?”

”Wha, what do you mean?” Cheng Jiatong asked.

Ying Xi raised her eyes, ”Just now, the hooligan said he’d receive 60 taels after the deed, plus 20 taels he already holds, totalling 80 taels. 80 taels, does a maid have that much money? How is that possible.”

Speaking of this, she suddenly shook her head, ”No, I’ve been too rash. I do have that much money. The county magistrate gives bonuses occasionally, and I’ve saved quite a bit.”

Shu Yu, ”...”

Biyan couldn’t help but widen her eyes, a maid actually had so much money, was the county magistrate really so generous?

Ying Xi continued, ”Even if she has money, would she be willing to bring it out to bribe hooligans? Miss Four, don’t take us all for fools, okay?”

Cheng Jiatong’s face turned pale time and again, yet she stubbornly said, ”Biyan has money, I’ve always been generous with her, maybe she has more than 80 taels on her. And she’s always loyal to me, taking out all her money for me wouldn’t be impossible.”

”Alright, since she has that much money, bring it out then. Where’s the money? Let’s go find it now.”

Biyan couldn’t say anything, her eyes pleadingly fell on Cheng Jiatong, but the latter wanted to secretly hide some silver in Biyan’s room beforehand, yet at this moment, everyone was watching her, she couldn’t make any move, couldn’t even give her a signal.

Not only her, Cheng Wen Bao was also being watched by everyone.

Just as Cheng Jiatong stubbornly refused to admit, a furious shout suddenly came from behind, ”Enough, isn’t this shameful enough?”

Cheng Jiatong’s body stiffened violently, she quickly turned around and saw Old Master Cheng storming towards them, his face livid.

Her face became bloodless as she whispered, ”Dad.”

Old Master Cheng walked up to her, looking at her icily, ”Lift up your head.”

Cheng Jiatong trembled as she lifted her head, Old Master Cheng squinted, and with a ’slap’, a heavy blow landed.

”Ah...” Cheng Jiatong screamed, feeling dizzy, and fell to the ground.
