The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Shu Yu was taken aback, ”Here again? Did he say what it was about?”

It’s only been two days since they last met, why is he here again? Could it be that something happened with Chen Qiu again?

Jiang Fengshou shook his head, ”No, I told him after the Qingming Festival, he left saying he’ll come again tomorrow.”

Shu Yu nodded, indicating she understood.

The next day, she arrived at Lu’s not long before she indeed saw Gan Rui there again.

Shu Yu thought he had something urgent, but unexpectedly Gan Rui said, ”I’ve sent a letter to Brother Xun, Brother Xun should be back in a few days.”

”Hmm, and then?”

”Huh? What then?”

Shu Yu, ”...” So you came to find me two days in a row just to tell me you wrote to Xun Sheng?

What does that have to do with her, ah ah ah ah, she’s not familiar with Xun Sheng, and doesn’t care about your back-and-forth correspondence, okay?

Shu Yu was feeling a bit speechless, while Gan Rui seemed completely unaware and was rambling on.

Shu Yu was busy, seeing he didn’t have anything substantial, she wanted to find an excuse to send him away.

Just then, Meng Han’s voice came from outside, ”Sister Shuyu, are you there?”

Shu Yu hadn’t responded yet when Gan Rui’s eyes lit up, he stood up abruptly and walked straight out of the study.

Shu Yu’s eyelid twitched, damn, she found the reason for her twitching eyelid.

She quickly got up and went out, only to see Gan Rui already talking to Meng Han, ”Miss, do you remember me?”

Meng Han was stunned for a moment and quickly waved her hand, ”Young Master Gan, please don’t call me Miss.” It was too embarrassing.

”Then, may I know the lady’s name?”

”My surname is Meng.” Meng Han spoke quite generously.

Gan Rui was very excited, ”So it’s Miss Meng, my apologies, my apologies.”

Shu Yu, ”...”

She gave a forced smile to Gan Rui, ”Young Master Gan, we have something to discuss, why don’t you...”

”Oh, oh, oh, I’ll take my leave right away.”

Gan Rui once again left reluctantly, looking back frequently as he walked.

Meng Han watched his back and asked, ”Sister Shuyu, what news did he bring this time?” She looked very curious and gossipy.

Shu Yu rubbed her forehead, ”No news, just idle chatter. Anyway, did you come to see me for something?”

Meng Han found it strange, idle chatter? Why did this Gan Rui come to find her future sister-in-law for idle chatter? Could he be having thoughts? No way, Sister Shuyu belongs to her cousin, she can’t be coveted by others.

She’d better keep an eye on this ignorant Young Master Gan in the future.

”Ah Han, Ah Han?”

Shu Yu’s voice brought Meng Han back to her senses, she quickly said, ”Yes, there is something.”

Then she looked around before lowering her voice, ”Xia Yan just visited our house, when he realized you weren’t there, he asked me to tell you that the new magistrate of the prefecture has been confirmed, and will arrive in Changjin Prefecture in a while.”

Shu Yu narrowed her eyes, ”Did he say who it is?”

”Cousin said you might know him, surname Qi.”

Qi?

The person Shu Yu is most familiar with in the capital with the surname Qi is Grand Tutor Qi.

But he’s already the Grand Tutor, it’s impossible for him to be demoted to Changjin Prefecture as a magistrate.

So if it’s someone she might know with the surname Qi, it must be the nephew who helped manage affairs for Grand Tutor Qi on the way to exile.

Shu Yu didn’t expect it to be such a coincidence, she’s even met him before.

But whether he remembers her is unknown, they may not even meet.

But this news at least means that Meng Yunzheng can soon be relieved from such a busy state.

It’s indeed a good thing, worth celebrating.
